Renacci didn’t lost because of Trump but because he was a lazy, Sacconesque candidate. Had Husted or Mandel run, Brown would have joined Donnelly and McCaskill in the defeat

I'll admit Renacci was a bit of a wildcard that fizzled out, but Mandel has been tried and failed. Brown is a formidable senator with a good approval rating, a little more than I could say for the other two. Ohio is still more friendly to democratic candidates than MO or IN so I say Brown was inevitably going to win.
