Councilors, I would urge you to table your bills if they have zero chance of passage.

I guess I will notify you whenever tabling is needed instead of pushing for a final vote that is soundly rejected

I understand your point, however it would not be my inclination to initiate the process to revoke a bill from the floor without the express consent of the bill's sponsor. I know that is not mandated by the Standing Orders, but I would not wish to set a bad precedent.

I do think that it is far better to take bills like this to a final vote, simple so the Council has the opportunity to fully and wholeheartedly reject legislation like this.
