Kind of shameless, but I just went for my first time and found it to be an absolutely amazing experience.

I am curious how many Atlasians have gone before.

Once in New Zealand, though that was six years ago...

Yes.

It’s nice but I didn’t feel as much of a thrill as I’d thought, ziplining was more thrilling for me. You’re so high up you do t even feel like you’re falling, especially with all that wind! It looks like a painting you’re hovering over.

No....I'd love to, I know it would be fun, but I'm too scared.

In my experience at least, jumping out is the least scary part.  Flying up is the part that made me afraid, but the higher up we got the less scared I was.

it would be stepping up to the open door that would be worst for me (I think, I'll never find out), followed by when the parachute "catches", followed by the slow descent dangling from a few thin ropes.  My inner ape does not like heights.

Skydiving actually doesn't give the fear of heights to those who have it (like me) because it's psychologically triggered by seeing movement on the ground, and you're too high up to see it. I'm usually afraid of heights and I had no fear.

Same!! I felt more safe jumping out of the airplane than going up in it.

You don't need connections, or that much money...

No, and I never will! Maybe I'd try indoor skydiving though. A place that has that actually opened in  my town a couple months ago.
