So who are Raab voters most likely to go to?

I'd assume they'd all go to Boris. Raab was standing as the most pro-Brexit/no-deal candidate and Boris is their natural next choice as the only one who will tie himself to leaving in October.

This is the obvious answer but some of them may not like Johnson, in which case I suppose they might go to Gove; I'd have thought they'd be unlikely to trust the others, who all voted Remain.

Sajid's people say he's in it to win. Dude, why not just drop out?

Why not stay in until you are eliminated? Its about building a profile for the likes of him now.

So who are Raab voters most likely to go to?

Of the public ones, only four are remainers, so Boris Johnson is the most likely. They're also mostly hard leavers like David Davis, Tom Pursglove, Andrea Jenkyns, Chris Green etc. or more libertarian Conservatives (if you can describe them as such) like Geoffrey Clifton-Brown and John Baron. All of them should favour Boris, but considering none of them backed Boris, they may not be so warm to him and go to Gove instead.

He wants to be Chancellor I hear.

Out of curiosity, I wonder who May's been voting for? One would presume Hunt but when your own deputy, arguably your closest ally, endorses Rory, it's not hard to wonder.

I've been told she voted Rory - the biggest safeguard to her legacy.

5 candidates, all of whom served in Theresa May's cabinet, most of whom served in David Cameron's cabinet. They promise you the world, they want you to think they are offering something different. Tax cuts for the working class, tax cuts for the middle class, corporate tax cuts, all while putting more money in public services. Rory Stewart is really the only one being remotely honest about what he wants.

That's the point - because Rory supports the deal she negotiated, theoretically if he got it passed (Lol) she could claim she had achieved something.

How will the pundits who have been bigging Stewart up react to that, I wonder......

So what kind of MPs voted for Stewart in the 2nd ballot but not in the 3rd ballot?

It is curious he dropped that much, though it was reasonable for Stewart to do worse after a lacklustre debate performance (the debate was an unholy mess for all though, just not as bad for some). Some are saying he was lent votes either to ensure he reached the debate (to hurt Johnson or the others) or to ensure Raab was eliminated.

And since Gavin "Tarantula" Williamson is running the show in the Johnson camp, I wouldn't be surprised by any amount of dirty tricks...

Boris Johnson supporters who wanted Raab to be eliminated ahead of the debate, plus the odd person who switched to Hunt. As a Conservative Party supporter who was considering, I'm glad Stewart was voted out - he's a good guy but I don't think he's right for the job at the moment.

Well at least this means and end to the sad spectacle of "liberal" pundits fellating an otherwise bog standard Tory.

The analogies only go so far.
Every last Republican would be considered a frothing madman in the UK.

The Tories are right of center and closer to the Dem party than Labour. GOP is Brexit party, but that doesn't make for convenient comparisons.

So it's going to be BoJo vs Hunt. Honestly, I don't even care who wins between those two. They're both entitled rich kids who got promoted way past than their level of competence. At least BoJo would be entertaining, Hunt would just be Pigf**ker 2.0.

Jim Messina certainly agrees that the Tories and the Democrats are similar.
