This new anthem would represent a perfect blend of old and new, which honors the diverse values of the South. I strongly urge everyone to support it.

I don't think any song should have equal standing to 'Dixie' in the South.

would delegates find the following amendment acceptable?

Quote

This is a terrible bill, and I urge the South to reject it

Also the talk praising “Dixie” here, is disturbing

Dixie is the current Southern anthem. Of course Southerners praise it.

SNJC, this is rich coming from you. Would you prefer an amendment that we put a tax on when these songs were played? I urge you to stick to issues in your own jurisdiction rather than poking your nose in Southern Issues. Especially when you provide no meaningful feedback.

Look, I wanted tax cuts, but the government has spent and spent, and now we are in a $80 billion hole, I am trying to limit raising income and property taxes. Meanwhile, you support a Confederate song and an annoying rap song, both are terrible choices, though “Old Town Road” is 1000 times better than “Dixie.”

As we actually aren't 3 delegates down, I'm going to open this up to a vote on the proposed amendment.

With the amendment the bill will now read:

1. "Old Town Road", written by Lil Nas X.
2. "The Bonnie Blue Flag" - Written by Harry McCarthy
3. "Oh Susanna"
4. "Take Me Home, Country Roads" - by John Denver
5. "Sweet Home Alabama" - by Lynyrd Skynyrd
6. "The Yellow Rose of Texas"
7. All Songs by Elvis Aaron Presley that made it to Number 1 in the US charts
8. "Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing)" - by Louis Prima
9. "What a Wonderful World" - Louis "Satchmo/Pops" Armstrong
10. "Remember the Alamo" - by Johnny Cash

Voting options for the amendment are:
