7 matches in, and Pakistan are still exactly tracing the footsteps of Imran's Cornered Tigers in 1992:

In both 1992 and 2019:

Match 1: Lost
Match 2: Won
Match 3: No Result
Match 4: Lost
Match 5: Lost
Match 6: Won
Match 7: Won

Inshallah, 2 more wins against inferior teams in Bangladesh and Afghanistan and they will be into the knockout phase. Supporting this team is hard, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Unfortunately, Pakistan were beaten by a better side today. I will be happy if anyone but Australia or India win.

Why do you dislike India so much

Unlike any other major cricketing nation, India has produced very few truly ravishing players, other than Syed Mushtaq Ali, Tiger Pataudi, Mohammad Azharuddin, Kapil Dev. (all Muslim or Sikh... only the minority players are interesting) Every other major country has produced far more interesting players.

Lack of meat in their diets, obviously. That's why they haven't produced any good fast bowlers.

I think the pitches in India are more the reason why they haven't produced any good fast bowlers.

Pakistan are the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of International Cricket. You never know which one turns up.

And Afghanistan lets another one slip through their fingers. Shame.

Afghanistan choked this hard when they went with their fast bowler . They should have waited till the very last over to do that and the target then might have been too much

Well, New Zealand lost by 86 runs to Australia

Expected a game between two of the best teams to at least be interesting

Current standings

1. Australia
2. India
3. New Zealand
4. Pakistan
5. England

England has to win one to get in, I believe, but has two tough games against India and New Zealand

Anyways if things stay the same, you have two enticing semifinal matches

Australia v. New Zealand
India v. Pakistan

No way Pakistan beats India or Australia. If you want Australia to lose , India is by far the best opponent to make that happened

Thank God for Mitchell Starc. And Khawaja. And Carey! Love it when a South Aussie proves that we're not the perennial losers of Australian cricket.

With England’s win today, Pakistan are on the outside looking in. To make semis they need a win and one of:

NZ beating England
England beating NZ by a landslide margin
India losing twice by big margins.

NZ should beat England IMO.

Pakistan  are now for all sense and purposes   out unless they win by 300+ runs and that isn’t happening

Shukriya for not giving up and leaving us with some positives to remember, Pakistan.

Now, of course, we move forward and cheer for anybody but India to win.
