Of these, Austin.  However, COL will become a bigger and bigger issue there.  San Antonio is a credible addition to this list.

Only been to Houston and Austin. Austin is a little run down but at least has character. Houston is a sprawly mess. Better politics, too.

I do have a feeling that I would like Dallas. Will have to visit.

Yep, it's probably the worst traffic, worst weather/humidity, just blah.  If you put a gun to my head and I had to pick one of the 3, it would be Dallas.
