First, I love your "pro-civil tights" typo. Please don't fix it.

Second, I agree 100% with the butterfly effect. I believe most of what you said in your OP is true.

Third, when you say JFK lives, do you mean the assassination attempt never takes place? That the bullet just misses JFK? That it mildly wounds him a la Reagan 1981? That it seriously wounds him, forcing him to step down?

If he survives an assassination attempt, his popularity would skyrocket and he just might win 61% in 1964 against any Republican, not just Goldwater.
