Alright, Southerners you have an opportunity to submit to us new flag designs for our next flag. I ask you all to take this seriously and I urge those participants who have entered their ideas to take this seriously. This Committee will review each flag submitted after 72 hours. Flag entrees after the 72 hour mark will not be allowed in on the final vote. After the 72 hours expire, the Committee will vote on each and if a flag reaches a majority, they will be included in a flag referendum. Once the people have put their say in the referendum, whatever decision they come to, we urge the Chamber of Delegates to act accordingly.

Citizen submission:

You have to quote, copy, and paste to see it apparently...

I have 5 flag submissions (some of which were ideas others came up with in part or in full - but that I made for them in vector format):

Submission 1: The Great Seal and Bars (Bold Colors); (2:3):

Submission 2: Seal upon Blue St. Andrew's Cross and Red Background (Dusty Colors); (3:5):

Submission 3: Seal upon Blue St. Andrew's Cross and Red Background (Bold Colors); (3:5):

Submission 4: Seal upon Red St. Andrew's Cross and White Background (Bold Colors); (3:5):

Submission 5: 20 Stars of the South, inlaid within a wreath of the South (Bold Colors); (3:5):

Also, if anyone wants the .svg template for this to make their own flags, shoot me a DM.

I'd like to thank, delegate reagente, for giving a few of my ideas the power of vector formatting.

These are all great designs that boldly say SOUTH! All worthy of consideration.

Yes even the "commie" one is worthy of consideration.

I look forward to discussing these with the rest of the Southern Flag Change Committee

Okay as these are the only ones I will commence the vote. Members of this committee have 48 hours to vote on the flags currently presented to them.

Submission 5: 20 Stars of the South, inlaid within a wreath of the South (Bold Colors); (3:5):

Most of the others are dreadful, but this design is honestly beautiful —and I'm not just saying that because it's red!

Harry, I may not have voted for this flag but I agree it is a decent design. I just think the other say "SOUTH!" louder and prouder. Loud and Proud is what a flag should be.

I personally think, that you should choose Flag 2

But, then again, it's not my decision

Why are we changing the flag again? The current flag seems acceptable to me.  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I have no idea if this can still be changed, but I think the design on flag 6 replacing the seal on flag 4 would be an extremely good flag.

The St. Andrew's Cross would give a slight suggestion of Confederate history and tie it to the Stars and Bars without being so overpowering as to be offensive to our black residents. The wreath would represent the common heritage of all Southerners and would show the real sacredness of this land. The land really is the beating heart of the South, and it should be represented on the flag.

I agree that this would be a good Design. Unfortunately I believe that it is too late to see this at a contender. perhaps if you ask both Reagente & our Governor Young Texan your design idea could be included? I think this would be a good idea. even if the wreath is around the seal. A good flag is a important. This is why i came up with as many designs as I did.

It's best not. I find order and structure to be more important to these things in Atlas than the end result, and doing that would undermine this. I'll just dredge it up the next time there's a debate on the flag.

Fair enough about the not pushing for you idea to be included. However, I still feel that you should ask reagente about creating your design.
