Trump is holding his kickoff rally in Orlando, a city that obviously voted against him and in favor of Hillary Clinton three years ago... does anyone know how the city itself voted percentage-wise? We know about Orange County but what about the city?

I saw on twitter that precinct with the arena where the rally is being held was 87% Clinton.

Don't think anyone around here knows unless they've summed up the results by precinct, which looks like an exceedingly tedious job to do. You could probably ask Matthew Isbell on Twitter, though, since he seems to have a firm grasp on precinct-level results in Florida.

The urban parts of Orlando were solidly Democratic. However, it was the suburban/exurban parts which shifted strongly toward the Republican party, and that played a big part in how Trump, Scott, and DeSantis won in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

Then why did Trump do so poorly in OC, FL as a whole in 2016? Compared to Bush 43 almost came close of winning it in 2000 and 2004?

Democrats gained the advantage in voter registration in this county in 2000 and haven't looked back since. As previously mentioned, this county is very urbanized, with many non-whites and people with higher education.

OC was 19% Latino in 2000, 27% in 2010, and 32% in 2018.  There's a growing Brazilian minority in the area.

Orlando is basically implementing a SJW social project right now. They are literally claiming to be the "ideal city of diversity and inclusion" or something like that.

And what's wrong with that?

It isn't offensive, and Grassr00ts thinks modern culture ought to "revolve around literally offending everyone all the time."

I'm sure there are tens of thousands of conservatives in Orlando who are going to barely notice and still prefer where they live to where everyone else does.

To be honest, in Election Night 2016, I incorrectly concluded that it seemed as if Clinton won Florida quite early on in the night because I was trying to use Orange County, Florida as the metric to focus on and compare the result in that County to 2012 to estimate the statewide swing and from that, the statewide margin. It ended up being the most off possible in favor of Clinton based on such an estimation method from a single County.

What do you mean? Scott and DeSantis both did worse than Trump in the county.

As someone who lives close to Orlando and goes to Orlando a few times a week for work and family reasons, seeing the attacks on Orlando is quite hilarious. But to answer the question, IIRC, it was close to 70-30 Clinton while non Orlando Orange county was pretty close. Orlando is a diversifying city with the Hispanic and Black population increasing not to mention it has one of the largest LGBT population of the South. The main draw to the city has been obviously Disney/SeaWorld/Universal Studios for tourism but in terms of the economy it's a growing hub of Tech companies and has a growing manufacturing sector. All of this combined makes the city Democratic and will continue to become more Democratic as the city grows

Trump did horrible in Orlando but he would have done even worse had there not been an Islamic terror attack smack dab in the middle of the election, followed by him citing "LGBTQIA" in the RNC. That's what kicked off the whole LGBT for Trump movement.

What I mean is that Democratic gains in Orange county were offset by Republican gains in Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Sumter, and Volusia Counties (e.g. when comparing the 2014 and 2018 gubernatorial races, Gillum gained about 85K net votes in Orange County but DeSantis gained about 84K net votes in the six suburban/exurban counties listed above).

What is funny to me is that this is nowhere close to the biggest county shift in the country

Oh my god. Dole won it and Bush 43 never did?
