Legend of Aang (or The Last Airbender I s'pose) is literally the best show ever written, no contest, no Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, The Wire, Breaking Bad, etc. episode is gonna top it.  It came, did its seasons, and ended before it could ever truly falter.

Legend of Korra had a mediocre first season and had to gradually find a groove...then it dropped the ball for the final season. The comics have been much better than the show ever was.

I could never get into Korra, but I grew up with Aang, so of course I'm biased.

Both are great.

I think ATLA has the better "team," the better side-characters, and the better overall journey. Especially love Book 2.

But LOK has a more dynamic protagonist, much more interesting villains, less traditional stories, and its political intrigue and philosophical debates are super-interesting.

Both are excellent, but 'The Last Airbender' was screwed over less by Nickelodeon, so it is superior. It also came first, so it's much harder to top. It's my second favorite animated series after 'Invader Zim,' which no television series of any type will ever top for me! (I can't wait for 'Enter the Florpus!')

'The Last Airbender' didn't have Varrick though...

ATLA isn't as ambitious as Korra but it's better executed. Korra has higher highs and lower lows imo. Book 3 of it is pretty much flawless. Think Book 4 got screwed over by Nick hard bc I think it needed the extra episode they cut out to flesh the story out some.
