Any chance the 2020 Democratic nominee gets the nomination again in 2024? Of course, it's not happening with Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders or Liz Warren (due to age alone). But I think if someone like Pete Buttigieg or Kamala Harris can keep 2020 close in the electoral college combined with a strong popular vote win, why not?

If Pete Buttigieg is the 2020 nominee and ends up with the result below, I could see him trying (and winning) again in 2024. Thoughts?

✓ President Donald J. Trump (R-NY)/Vice President Michael R. Pence (R-IN): 270 EV. (46.73%)
Mayor Peter Buttigieg (D-IN)/Senator Kamala D. Harris (D-CA): 268 EV. (50.39%)

Close states within 5%

Iowa: +4.9%
Georgia: +4.2%
North Carolina: +2.9%
Florida: +1.8%
Arizona: +1.1%
Nebraska 02: +1.0%
Wisconsin: +0.2%

Pennsylvania: +2.5%
Nevada: +3.4%
New Hampshire: +4.0%
Michigan: +4.3%

Buttigieg is not winning the nomination,  now or in 2024.

I would flip the ticket.

If the 2024 field is lackluster, it could happen.
