I think Pence could be a Mondale or Dole type sacrificial lamb  candidate if 2024 is a bad year for the Republicans (this would especially be true if Trump wins next November).

About 60% if Trump wins in 2020, about 30% if he loses.

I would say 40 percent chance that he wins the nomination. I think he’ll start out as the front runner but will plummet after the debates similarly to Biden. Pence is way too in bed with the GOP establishment for him to win the nomination.
