Megan Rapinoe was awarded the Golden Boot for the the most goals (six) and the most assist (three) within the shortest playing time. (The Silver Boot went to Alex Morgan and the Bronze one to Englishwoman Ellen White.)
The Golden Ball, which Rapinoe is holding in her left hand, is the prize for the best best overall player. (The Silver Ball was awarded, despite her name, to Englishwoman Lucy Bronze, and American Rose Lavelle, who scored the second goal for her team in the final match, received the Bronze Ball.

The Golden Glove for the best goalkeeper was awarded to Dutchwoman Sari van Veenendaal.
And, finally, also former soccer nation Germany and this year's host France received awards:
Tender's favorite player Giulia Gwinn as the best young player, and the French team for their sense of fair play.

Talking about fair play. Despite all the criticism from the U.S. soccer team players, he congratulated them on her win, so fair play to him:



I wonder how many of the players are gonna accept his invitation to the White House.

Here you can watch the championship parade in NYC. That live stream has a time shift function.




That reminds me so much of the parade that was hold after the German men's soccer team had won the 2014 World Cup.
I can't believe that time goes by in a flash and that we aren't a soccer nation anymore. Cry

I don't have a problem paying our official international teams the same, but if we really want to help ladies soccer, the best thing is to do what Rapinoe suggested on Maddow.

Go to games, buy the jerseys, tell our friends.
