🏆2019 Women's World Cup final: How many goals will the U.S. team win by?🏆

The clash between the reigning world champion and the reigning European champion will take place at Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Décines-Charpieu within the Lyon Metropolis on Sunday, July 7 at 5 pm CEST (11 a.m. EDT).

It's the very first time that the Dutchwomen have reached the final. The U.S. women, by contrast, will be playing in a final for a fifth time - out of eight Women's World Cups! (And even the three times they didn't reach the final, they won the bronze medal!)

I predict the US to win by 2-1, a one goal difference.

You think the Netherlands will score a goal? Against the USA? That's a very optimistic forecast...

I've always found it very interesting how the US Men's team is somewhat mediocre (compared to American performances in other sports especially where the US dominates) while the Women's Team is extremely good and an easy world cup contender.

Certainly an interesting contrast.

our male top athletes play other sports.  Our top women do to, just not as extremely.

How popular is women's American football in the US? I know that women's basketball is covered quite often in the news. But I hear/read only very little about female football.

it's a thing, but it's not highly regarded.  I think there are several regional leagues of women playing at the lowest of semi-pro levels and play a legit form of football.  We have had a local team that offers a different experience for the fans.

I think it's gross, but I have a couple of co-workers that go to every home game (like 2 a year).

Okay?? 😁 Nevertheless, them football players are still more demurely and chastely dressed than female beach volleyball players. 😂

To those who are not familiar with soccer:
Megan Rapinoe was awarded the Golden Boot for the the most goals (six) and the most assist (three) within the shortest playing time. (The Silver Boot went to Alex Morgan and the Bronze one to Englishwoman Ellen White.)
The Golden Ball, which Rapinoe is holding in her left hand, is the prize for the best best overall player. (The Silver Ball was awarded, despite her name, to Englishwoman Lucy Bronze, and American Rose Lavelle, who scored the second goal for her team in the final match, received the Bronze Ball.

The Golden Glove for the best goalkeeper was awarded to Dutchwoman Sari van Veenendaal.
And, finally, also former soccer nation Germany and this year's host France received awards:
Tender's favorite player Giulia Gwinn as the best young player, and the French team for their sense of fair play.

That reminds me so much of the parade that was hold after the German men's soccer team had won the 2014 World Cup.
I can't believe that time goes by in a flash and that we aren't a soccer nation anymore.
