I was wondering what insurance people have, not sure if this is a off topic of fourm community thread. Personally I have 2 different insurances from my parents. Blue Cross Blue Shield from my dad which is my primary, and Tricare through my mom which covers the copay.

Assura - piss away 260 francs a month on it and they still won't even pay for my first 2'500 francs of healthcare costs. Absolute jokes.

Healthcare, Pension, Unemployment and Work Accident Insurance via the SGKK, the Salzburg state branch of the Austrian Social Security System.

I also have car insurance, private accident insurance and apartment insurance via UNIQA.

While we have free public healthcare here I actually have a private insurance on top of that through DKV.

I used to have only the public system for quite a long time when I was 10-15 years old though and it also worked great. In fact if you ever get someting "serious" (say cancer, a heart attack or something like that) the public system is generally regarded as superior, with the main advantage of private healthcare being shorter waiting lists.

It's certainly not "free", but rather mandatory.

Aetna for health and dental ($1000/month), State Farm for auto, life and fire. (much much less than $1000/month)
