Gillibrand is my top choice, but sadly, I don't think America is ready for her yet. I go back-and-forth on which major candidate is my favorite between Harris, Warren, and Buttigieg. I think Harris is probably most electable, but I'm probably closer to Warren and Buttigieg in terms of policy and vision.

Might be the first time Iīm putting Warren as my first choice, though Sanders is a close second.

1. Buttigieg
2. Warren
3. Gillibrand
4. Harris
5. Bennet

If one of them's the nominee, I'll be happy.

Honestly? I have no idea. All five of the frontrunners have given me strong reasons not to like them, and few of the others seem worth taking seriously.

My preferred candidate at this point is Bennet, with Warren leading my preferences among the real contenders:

1.   Bennet
2.   Warren
3.   Gillibrand
4.   Bullock
5.   Booker
6.   Buttigieg
7.   Sanders*
8.   Castro
9.   Harris
10. Klobuchar
11. Biden
12. O'Rourke He's been sooooo unbelievably terrible!

Not taking seriously
Gabbard
Yang
Inslee
Moulton
Steyer
Hickenlooper
De Blasio
Sestak
Delaney
Gravel
Williamson
Messam

*Sanders is a particularly challenging candidate to rank given that he is easily my favorite person running. I could still vote for him again under the right circumstances, but his entire 2020 campaign has been a massive turn-off and this cycle has only strengthened my prior against voting for any candidate over 75. He should not have run, and in retrospect I don't even understand why he did. There's no rationale for his candidacy that wouldn't have been better served by working with downballot candidates and participating in national politics as an elder statesman. He could remain in the national news with interviews, speeches, and organizing if that's what he wanted.

Curious why are you taking Bennet seriously and not, say, Inslee or Gabbard who are polling similarly or higher?

I just like him. He's also one of only a few people running who strikes me as a strong general election candidate. Bennet and Bullock don't really deserve placement in the ranking but they have conventional credentials and are running real campaigns, even if they're shoestring affairs, so I'm inclined toward generosity.

Gabbard antagonizes enough of the party that she's not even worth considering. I'm also not sold on House candidates running for president. Gabbard has more talent than any of the others, though, and I include Beto in that comparison. I would rank her 7th or 8rh if I had included her, but with the proviso that she weirds me out a bit and needs more scrutiny.

Inslee... good lord, the less said of him the better. It's a shame that anyone is falling for his Climate Change Candidate gimmick. What a curious choice for someone who has neither achieved not proposed anything of note on the subject! Even O'Rourke has a more rigorous climate change platform. I guess he's as deserving of inclusion as Gillibrand at this point but I refuse to take him seriously.

I'm still very much behind Sanders. However, Warren, Gillibrand, Harris, and to some extent, Bullock have all caught my attention. They're not my first choices, but each of them have stood out to me.
