Any bill intended to make the life of our great RG easier is an awesome bill.

Not at all lol, I like the ability for a group of three to be an official party, that’s it really.
Three people is rather arbitrary. With the population of this game increasing by so much, there needs to be a higher limit for official party recognition. Our Registrar is overworked as it is.

Not to mention the rise of meme parties (although obviously its always been a thing or sorts).

I am concerned about what happens in the House if we go to six, so NAY.

The vote is closed, I will come back this to post the totals when I know the actual amendment number (basically after I get down the list of threads on the noticeboard).

So what now?

I am somewhat concerned about where we stand now in terms of House passage.

You don't believe the bill in its current form will pass the House? What are your concerns?

Well the only Representative who has said anything has said he would go no higher than four and we just went to six. I mean of course they can always amend it, I just don't want this getting stuck in an infinite loop of death and get voted down.

I would suggest some kind of dialogue with the House members.

I’d prefer five or seven given the current electorate.

Can I suggest that making the RG calculate the percentage share isn't exactly making their job easier.

I disagree, all I need is a cheap formula to calculate the threshold.

What is the reason behind the RG wanting fewer parties.

Less work for her presumably.

RG issues aside, 3-7 member parties are basically memes and/or not very organized, and in the former case, gives them legitmacy.

So we have 4, 5 and 7 as positions supported on the House side so far?

Pretty much this, honestly. Plus, fewer parties means the table isn't as wide, making the Census Bureau page a little less ugly.

If the problem is the table presentation, we need to explore an alternative presentation such as include the biggest parties that would fit in the table and the smaller parties outside the table just one line by party. I'm not even asking for party color for small parties if that saves work.

The parties that will disappear first are Montfortian and Liberal and then Progressive Union. IM interim Chair of the Liberal party and I ask that you don't try to kill parties to fit a table, give small partie a chance.

Their appearance on a table will have little to do with the long term success or failure of a group of people registered under a common name. It will grow due to the factors that spark party growth or it won’t.
