It was inevitable for the Kurds to be stabbed in the back by the next presidential administration. While I would continue weapon sales, we need to get out of that region now.

Yup. Let's increase asylum big league for those fleeing obvious political oppression at the hands of the Turks. Gotta pass the two year long refugee background check process though, but I'm sure we could streamline that a bit more.

How about just not stabbing them in the back so they don't become refugees in the first place?

We should create a Kurdistan for them right here in North America.  I'd propose West Virginia.  The current inhabitants will be allowed to stay, of course.

There's nothing Kurds want more than to be Kurds, and if they came here, they wouldn't be Kurds anymore. So no.

If any Kurd want to emigrate to the United States, they should be allowed to.  After that betrayal by Trump, that is the least we can do for them.

We haven’t stabbed them in the back. We built a fort with them, for them, guarded it with them, abandoned the fort and left the front gate open for their enemies to get at them.

There are 30,000,000 - 45,000,000 of them, so we will need to prepare beforehand.

What would change? If we sent them all to Youngstown, Ohio, the Democrats and red avatars would forget about them instantly.

Hmm, I seemed to have misread the question. Of course accept any person willing to be an American.

There are tens of millions of Kurds out there.

I do think that many (hundreds of thousands, even) of Syrian Kurds definitely deserve to be able to emigrate for refugee related reasons given the humanitarian catastrophe that Trump unleashed in Syria. If they want to come here and not somewhere else, that is.

Kurdish-Americans are a TINY group at the moment. Oddly enough, it seems that out of the 40k-ish Kurdish-Americans, about 15k of them live in Nashville, TN. Immigrants tend to go where existing communities already are. It'd definitely be interesting for Nashville to have, like, 50 or 60k more Kurds move in.

Why should they want to come here when Trump would probably just invite the Turkish army in to kill them? (kidding but not)
