In the battle of Tom vs. Tom, Mets fans are coming down squarely on the side of their guy.

Tom Brady landed on the wrong side of another sport’s New York fan base, angering Mets fans with his recent trademark application for a nickname that has long belonged to Tom Seaver, one of the biggest stars of the Amazin’ Mets era.

The nickname has been applied to Brady’s football feats at various and relatively obscure times over the years, but it’s unquestionably more often identified with Seaver, the Hall of Fame pitcher and winner of 198 games (out of his 311 victories) over 12 seasons with the Mets. As news spread of the May 24 filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Mets fans were furious with the New England Patriots quarterback, who wasn’t born when the nickname was bestowed on the right-handed pitcher.
ya know, just in case there was anybody left that didn't think this guy was a huge jackass.

Brady's a jackass.  There is only one "Tom Terrific", and that's Tom Seaver.  This should be denied by the patent office.

BTW.... #LGM (Let's Go Mets), LOL.  Wink

Seaver, sadly, is in the early stages of dementia.  He's the real Tom Terrific.  What an HP move!

People do call Brady “Tom Terrific” but “Tommy Touchdowns” is so much better.

The story gets better when you know like I do as a Mets fan that Tom Seaver was diagnosed with Alzheimer earlier this year

now he's taking sh**t for jumping off a cliff with daughter

which is silly.  She wanted to jump with daddy, she had second thoughts after the last second had past because she started to jump but then paused and Tom was already going.  They had to go at that point or it would have been much more dangerous.  Brady should not be taking sh**t for this.  Like Trump, there are plenty of reasons to not like the guy, work on those.

If you couldn't tell, I dislike the Pats (and Tom Brady) WITH A PASSION.  MF's married to freakin' Gisele Bundchen....yes, I am jealous, LOL.

Also, the jackass thinks he's the best in the game just because he won most of his titles with little opposition.

"Tom Brady is the best NFL QB ever" - Average NFL fan
"Hold my beer" - Joe Montana

PS: Now to my point....I sometimes wish Mr. Brady would jump off a cliff that doesn't have a lake at the bottom of it, LOL.  Wink

Yeah, once you commit, you gotta go. Brady pulled on her to make sure she didn't hit the rocks. He probably should've known she was gonna chicken out, & why on earth he thought that this was a good idea is beyond me, but he made a good safety move & nobody was hurt.
