Some Atlas members have floated a Biden/Gabbard ticket. Their home states, Delaware and Hawaii carry 3 and 4 electoral votes respectively, compared to Reagan/Bush 84, who had 76.

Does anyone know a ticket with fewer than 7 electoral votes between the two candidates?

None that I could find. The lowest home-state electoral votes I could track was amassed by Pierce/King in 1852 (14/15 between Pierce's New Hampshire & either King's Alabama or North Carolina).

Clinton/Gore follows them with a total of 17 electoral votes

EDIT: I guess this would be "Winning ticket with lowest number of home-state electoral votes"

Why does King have two options for home state

Why does King have two options for home state

- Born in North Carolina
- Served 2 years in NC state house
- Nearly 6 years as a NC congressman
- Served 25 years as the first US Senator of Alabama
- Was Senator at time of 1852 election

I guess Alabama would be his home in this case, but I wanted to cover all bases

The final Democrtaic ticket in 1972 Had 14, 4 for McGovern of South Dakota and 10 for Shiver of Maryland, which is still double the 7 of a potential Biden/Gabbard ticket. Humphrey and Muskie also had 14.

Fremont and Dayton had only 11 in 1856

A Cheney/Jeffords ticket in the 90s, when both were Republicans, would have been interesting with only 6 electoral votes between them.

McCain/Palin had a grand total of 14 electoral votes and Davis/Bryan in 1924 had just 16 electoral votes

Vermont. Jim Jefford's wikipedia page would've been the first thing to come up if you searched "Jeffords" on google.
