Trump wins reelection, Dems net nothin' in the Senate (CO and AL cancel), Dems lose around five seats in the House

-but-

Dems have a monstrous 2022, sweeping seven Senate seats and gaining fiftyish in the House, and RBG/Breyer are guaranteed to live until 2024

I like it.  Let him have a disastrous second term with 2022 being a bigger blue wave that allows the Democrat elected in 2024 to have a larger Senate majority.

I think you meant 2025.

Absolutely!

......not. Absolutely not.

A second Trump term will leave a stain on Americans conscious and on America's worldwide reputation in a similar fashion to slavery and Japanese interment camps. A second Trump term will say so much about us as a nation. It was one thing to elect him once to see what he could do and shake up the status quo but after what he’s done and said - to re-elect him would simply be repulsive. Plus ... imagine Trumpers and how Insufferable they’d be? Yeah no thanks

Plus, a Democrat winning the White House assures no more conservative judges till at least 2024 anyway. I’m against this scenario no matter what but the only way you could nudge me in that direction is if you guaranteed me 2-3 decades of a court makeup 4 liberals - 4 conservatives and 1 liberal leaning moderate. But even then probably not.

Only stupid people lose in an attempt to play 3D chess, it almost never works and usually results in further losses, because, all things equal, having power... helps you have more power

I really don't see how a rational person observing US politics for the past few years could not want Trump out as soon as possible.

Take the deal. Trump didn’t invent evil, he just ripped the sheep’s clothing off the wolves, and I fear that the alternative to this deal would be the wolves putting their sheep’s clothing back on by 2022.
