Marco Rubio's Victory Speech in Miami, Florida
Source : https://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/

Thank you! Thank you so very much! Thank you Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Wyoming, District of Columbia and Guam for those massive victories tonight!

This is a great victory and a great night for our campaign and for America, because right now, I only need 53 more delegates to become the Republican presidential nominee.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Our party is uniting toward our campaign in order to start the work and to start the campaign to win in November, to beat Tammy Duckworth or Jeff Merkley, to keep moving our country forward and secure America's future. Our party is uniting toward our campaign because I am by far the most experienced, tested and prepared presidential candidate to lead this nation. I know how to pursue and accomplish the work started by Donald Trump and me and that requires keeping taxes low, including for the middle class, making America the best place in the world to do business, getting us to energy independence, promoting free trade as well as schoold choice. I know how to keep America safe and that requires strong borders, strong homeland security, strong and modernized military and tough diplomacy. That's exactly what we're going to do under my presidency so we can get this country to full employment, to permanent economic prosperity, to the adoption of a balanced budget amendment, to the protection of our country's constitutional rights, to our victory against radical Islamic terrorism, to permanent national security and long-term global peace.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

And our party is coalescing toward our campaign because I'm the one candidate able to build strong coalitions and such coalitions are among the main factors that got Ronald Reagan (with the famous Reagan Coalition), George W. Bush and Donald Trump to win massive victories in general elections. No wonder that during my 2 senate votes for Senate here in Florida I won around 50 % of the Hispanic vote and 17 % of the African-American vote. No wonder that my vice-presidential nomination helped President Trump to drastically improve his performance among Hispanic voters from 29 % in 2016 to 37 % in 2020. And thanks to the efforts I've given to double the child tax credit to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act pass, these creative tax reform policies provided the strongest economic growth in modern history through the promotion of small government and free enterprise and the Hispanic unemployment rate and the African-American unemployment rate went at their lowest rates ever. Como resultado, preservamos y ampliemos el sueno Americano y el estado de los Estados Unidenses como la Tierra de la Oportunidad donde todo es posible no morirá jamás.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That's how we're going to improve our party's performance among those groups of voters, build a massive and strong coalition and win the general election with me as the nominee.

We still have work to do. Now, it's Go West Young Man. After we'll win the primaries in Arizona and Utah next week, we will win the Republican nomination and our campaign for America's future will start.

Gracias. Que Dios le bendiga, que Dios bendiga la Florida, que Dios bendiga los Estados Unidos de America.

Rubio claims more wins this week

Vice President Rubio celebrated a major victory in Miami Tuesday night as he won nearly 300 delegates, carrying four states, as well as Guam and the District of Columbia. Rubio is viewed as nearly a lock by the pundits, but many in the Rodriguez camp have gone against that line of thinking, pointing to the Governor's victory in the Virgin Islands and stating "it isn't over until someone reaches 1262, and Rubio hasn't done that yet." Only time will tell who is right.

Swalwell faces challenge for House Minority leadership

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA-15), the House Minority Leader, having already been asked to step down by his caucus members, now faces a challenge for his position from Representative Marcia Fudge (D-OH-11). Fudge has already gained the backing of the Congressional Black Caucus, and is quickly drawing other supporters. Swalwell has stated that he will fight this attempt at his leadership position, but it is currently uncertain whether or not he will be victorious.

Supreme Court battle rages on as more liberal senators join Merkley in promoting filibuster

Today Senators Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Tammy Baldwin announced that they were "all in" on joining Senator Merkley's effort to filibuster Supreme Court nominee Brian Sandoval's nomination, citing their belief that Sandoval is unqualified based on previous positions, and that "we should not and will not allow this nomination to go through, even as the Republicans blocked such a move eight years ago. Hypocrisy should not be an open window to getting whatever you want."

"New Socialism" attacks quiet as violence against self-identified socialists nationwide skyrockets

The domestic left-wing terrorist group known as "New Socialism" has been oddly quiet these past few days after bursting violently onto the scene with an attack on Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, and having several of their leaders arrested within a week. However, despite this, violence against self-identified socialists in the United States has risen over 600% this past week, with Senator Bernie Sanders's Burlington post office having to be evacuated after a crudely made bomb was found in the Senator's PO Box. Numerous figures have condemned these attacks, stating "if we descend into acts of terror against each other, our enemies win, because we will be divided beyond repair for only the second time in our history."

Polonsky well ahead of Medvedev in runoff polling

Sergei Polonsky, the winner of the first round of the Russian presidential election, is well ahead of Dmitry Medvedev, the runner-up, with more than 65% of the vote. This is unsurprising, as Polonsky scored a more than 2-to-1 margin of victory last week. The runoff will be held in two weeks.

Cuomo appoints Jumaane Williams to Schumer's seat

Following the retirement of Senator Chuck Schumer, Governor Andrew Cuomo appointed former New York City Mayor Jumaane Williams to fill his seat. Williams, who is best known for his activism and previous service as NYC Public Advocate, has been called "a brilliant man and strong leader" by Governor Cuomo. Williams has said he will "ardently" oppose Governor Sandoval's confirmation, adding his own name to the list of Senators opposed to the President's nominee. He has already reported receiving death threats following the attacks by the "New Socialism" terrorists.

Own creation
The Democrats believe that they will turn Arizona blue in 2024. But I promise you that if I'm the nominee we're going to prove them wrong and we will win that state.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Under the previous administration, our economy experienced its slowest recovery in history due to big government and higher regulations and taxes and to the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world (which was 40 %). As a result, it was heading into a recession. But thanks to the election of Donald Trump at the presidency of the United States and to the promotion of small government, tax reform and free enterprise, we turned around the economy and headed it in the right direction. We put forward the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and I led the effort to promote the amendment doubling the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000. Thanks to those efforts, we passed the Trump tax cuts, which provided the strongest economic growth in our country’s history, created of 7 and a half million new jobs, reduced our unemployment rate at its lowest rate in 50 years and brought the Hispanic unemployment rate as well as the African-American unemployment rate at their lowest rate ever in history. And thanks these tax-cut and free enterprise policies provided both by our administration as well as by Governors Jan Brewer and Doug Ducey, Arizona's economy is booming : more than 500 000 new jobs have been created in Arizona in the last 10 years, Arizona is ranking 4th in the nation in terms of GDP growth (3.57 %) and even outpaced California, Florida and Texas on that level, the Grand Canyon State is ranked 3rd in the U.S. for economic momentum and Arizona's median household incomes have reached a record high of $61,125.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Despite those positive results provided by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, both Tammy Duckworth and Jeff Merkley voted against it.

[Crowd boos]

They are both seeking to raise your taxes as well as regulations on businesses and on energy production and increase the size of government, which has repeatedly proven to be the wrong choice for our economy and will only bring us backwards by sending jobs overseas and making this country a harder place to do business.

[Crowd boos]

A growing economy like the one we've got thanks to tax cuts, free market and small government means more job opportunities, bigger paychecks for our people, including, Arizonans, and more investments in the things that matter, like education, child safety and public safety. And thanks to my experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, we will pursue that progress and we will remain focused on creating the best economic environment and ensuring sustainable, responsible growth. I know that America's prosperity requires lower taxes, the promotion of free enterprise, making our country the best place in the world to do business and that's exactly what I will do as President by reducing taxes for all the people, including the middle class, lowering our corporate tax rate from 20 % to 15 %, promoting free trade, by championing school choice, by getting our country to energy independence and by balancing the budget. That's the best way to get our country to full-employment and to long-term economic prosperity.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

Here's another reason we're going to win Arizona in November : Arizona has the 6th highest gas prices in the nation, which is $13.69/thousand cu ft (while other toss-up states like Florida have the 2nd highest gas prices, New Hampshire the 5th, Georgia the 9th, etc.). Yet, in their attempt to impose higher taxes and regulations on our country's energy industry, which only make that problem even worse, Senators Duckworth and Merkley believe that we can achieve energy independence without more drilling and without more nuclear power. But Americans know better than that. We must use all resources and develop all technologies necessary to grow our economy and make our country independent from foreign energy. That's why President Trump abolished the War on Coal, championned the development of clean coal technologies and that's why we lifted the ban on crude oil exportation, approved the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline and Keystone XL pipeline as well as the opening of ANWR to oil drilling, thus allowing our country to make strong progress towards energy independence. Under my presidency, we're going to accomplish that goal by promoting offshore oil drilling, approving the construction of new pipelines to facilitate oil production and transportation, building 40 new nuclear power plants by 2050 in order to reach to a total number of 100 nuclear power plants on the U.S. soil with the ultimate goal of building 100 new nuclear power plants and investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies, including wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectricy, geothermal and tidal energies. We'll encourage the development and use of flex-fuel, hybrid and electric automobiles. This is an ambitious and responsible plan that will create millions of new jobs and make sure that we will, at the same time, improve our ecological footprint and provide a clean environment.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

This plan will also make America number one in the world in terms of nuclear energy production and export, improve American families’ quality of life through even stronger access to electricity and heat and reinforce Arizona's status as a leader in energy production as Arizona is ranked as the third best state in the nation for solar energy production (since the state added 416.6 megawatts of new capacity statewide in 2017, making it the 7th fastest growing solar market in the U.S. for a total of 3,399.5 megawatts). It will also deprive anti-American forces of revenues from our dependence from foreign energy through our imports of energy from countries either opressed by anti-American regimes or in throes of terrorism, revenues that would have otherwise financed their plans of terrorist attacks on us and our allies. So this plan will also keep this country safe against anyone seeking to harm our people.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My friends, all of this explains why we're going to keep Arizona in the Republican column and that requires all of you going to the polls, both in the primary and in the general election and together we will keep Arizona bright red and that way we're going to win this election and we will pursue the progress that is heading America in the right direction and to bright days and that will create jobs and prosperity, defend your constitutional rights, keep America safe and ensure long-term global peace. Only together, we will keep moving this country forward and that's why I'm asking for your vote.

Thank you! God bless you! God bless Arizona and God bless the United States of America!

The Russian people’s desire for change, freedom and justice is clearly materializing. Sergei Polonsky, the isolationist candidate and leader of the For All Party is now leading in the polls for the run-off of the 2024 Russian presidential election with 65 % of the voting intentions.

So I can tell you, my fellow patriots, my fellow Americans, that your fight, our fight to stand up to Vladimir Putin's Russia for the sake of freedom, liberty, democracy and stability as well as the contributions and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform for that cause will not be in vain. In 2008, when Russia invaded Georgia, we condemned Putin's intrusion into Georgia's sovereign territory and even though abstained from direct military action we used military aircraft and naval forces to deliver aid to Georgia to signal our strong support. In 2014, they invaded Ukraine and supported a pro-Russian insurgency in Eastern Ukraine and they annexed Crimea, thus violating Ukraine's territorial integrity and diminishing stability and security in Eastern Europe. In response to that, we provided military training and material to our allies in the region in order to help them to effectively counter Russia's military power and defend their countries. Three years ago, Russia captured 2 Japanese Navy vessels and engaged in a territorial dispute with Japan for the control of the Kuril Islands and so our country reinforced our navy’s presence there to counter Russia’s aggression and to ensure Japan’s sovereignty on this archipelago as Japan is the first country between the two territorial claimants to have occupied these islands in history. We also increased sanctions against Russia, including against Russia's military-industrial complex in order to further diminish Russia's military power. In the last 2 decades, Russia has engaged in an arms race against us as they added 26 MIRVed missiles that carry up to 10 missiles each, EW systems on X-101, X-102 and KH-102 cruise missiles carried by strategic bombers and deployed the Avangard hypersonic nuclear missile in 2020, violating the New START Treaty. In the context of Operation Ceasefire, Russia is also providing Turkey in military training and arsenal. In response to that, we and our allies are doing the same for the Kurds in order to help them to defeat Turkish troops. Putin eliminated free press and is opressing his own people. And increasing inflation as well as the economic effects of sanctions led to a wave of civilian and peaceful protests across Russia saying « enough is enough ».

All of it is about to change and Sergei Polonsky is well on track to win the presidency in Russia, which will restore democracy, freedom and integrity there as well as stability and territorial integrity in Eastern Europe and in the Middle East, thus guaranteeing strong global peace. So in order to ensure the continuation of such strong progress, I engage to hold a summit with Polonsky to normalize our relations in my first 100 days as President of the United States.

We're going to sign the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty to prohibit fissile material from being used for the building nuclear weapons, we will work together for the maintenance of peace, including in the Middle East, in Europe and in the Pacific and we will be champions of human rights around the globe. We're going to deprive Turkey will be deprived of a major partner in terms of trade and military support in the context of Operation Ceasefire, which will help our local allies to defeat Turkish forces and lead to the recognition of Kurdistan’s independence and sovereignty. Polonsky and I will be strong partners for the development of decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration. Because peace through strength is the right solution to provide such results and we proved that in the last few years. And thanks to my foreign policy experience, we're going to get there, provide this kind of safe, free and peaceful world to our children and grandchildren, keep our country safe, work with our allies and expand our alliances and efficiently fight to expand and maintain peace through strength around the world and that's how we're going to ensure long-term global peace.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.

Tammy Duckworth Speaks to Supporters in Chicago

2017 AFGE Legislative Conference - Monday by AFGE, on Flickr

"It looks like we've had another good night! We won Ohio, American Samoa, and here at home in Illinois, and we kept it close in Florida! I couldn't do this without your help. You are the ones who knock on doors, make phone calls, and talk to your friends and neighbors about our shared vision for America. You push to get us to universal healthcare, childcare, and internet access, you stand up to this President's erraticism and contempt for our norms, and you make sure your voices are heard when it comes time to vote.

The truth is, we cannot allow for four more years of chaos and uncertainty. We have to have a leader with a  steady hand that will lead us into the future, get us a Democratic Congress, and fight for our shared values. This primary is far from over, and we will continue to build a coalition that unites the party and wins the White House in November. I ask for your continued support in building this coalition."

Recently, there are additional Democrats in the Senate who joined Senator Merkley supporting his filibuster to block Brian Sandoval's SCOTUS nomination, calling Governor Sandoval unqualified. Well, if Brian Sandoval was really unqualified, why is it that the people of Nevada elected him twice to be their Governor and both times in landslides (53 % of the vote in 2010 and 70 % in 2014)? Because he is qualified and trustworthy to defend the interests of Nevadans. If managed to do it for Nevada, he can certainly do so for the people of America.

As Attorney General of Nevada, he led the state's legal fight against the storage of nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain, developed Nevada's first Public Integrity Unit and sponsored legislation strengthening Nevada's laws against domestic violence, drug abuse and human trafficking. He was also the chairman and a member of several state boards and commissions, including the Nevada Boards of Pardons, Prisons, Transportation, and Examiners; the Cyber-Crime Task Force; the Committee on Domestic Violence, and the Prosecutorial Advisory Council. As Governor, he fixed Nevada : he signed a package of bill to provide $1.3 billion in tax breaks and subsidies over 20 years for Tesla Motors in exchange for building the massive Gigafactory 1 battery factory in the state, near Reno, to revitalize the economy after the 2008 financial crisis; reformed the state's education system by increasing funding for public schools and grants, by creating incentives to recruit more teachers, by promoting professional training, by appropriating  $10 million for preschool programs and by expanding full-day kindergarten across Nevada. He also managed to diversify Nevada's economy by encouraging the production of solar and geothermal energies.

Governor Sandoval is a constitutional conservative who believes in a free market health care system, is a defender of the Second Amendment and of the life of the unborn. He is one of the best qualified people that could be nominated for SCOTUS, and yet in their attempt to restrict your constitutional rights, to deprive you of your right to own a fireweapon for your self-defense and to allow abortion as well as funds for Planned Parenthood, the Democrats are trying their best to block Sandoval's nomination. But we won't let them do this, because we have 53 seats in the Senate and even if it ends up with a 50-50 deadlock vote, I will, as Vice-President and President of the Senate, cast the 51st needed to approve Sandoval's SCOTUS nomination. And as President, I will nominate constitutional conservatives at the SCOTUS in order to ensure the defense of your constitutional rights and preserve America's status as a land of freedom. Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

New Socialism represents a serious threat to America's freedom and security. But progress has been made in the last few weeks to combat this radical extremist terrorist organization as our brave police officers led a successful operation that arrested several of New Socialism leaders. However, violence against self-identified socialists in the United States has risen over 600% this past week with Senator Bernie Sanders's Burlington post office having to be evacuated after a crudely made bomb was found in the Senator's PO Box. That's why we need to work together, Republicans and Democrats, to face this clear and present danger because if we descend into acts of terror against each other, our enemies win, because our nation will be divided beyond repair for only the second time in our history. So we need to work together to designate New Socialism as a terrorist organization. And I have the best experience and knowledge to keep this country safe, no wonder that I helped President Trump to defeat ISIS, which has been made possible through a strong military and strong American intelligence and homeland security. As President, I will reinforce the use of biometric data and also increase the budget of the FBI, the TSA and the CIA to make sure they will have the necessary tools to stop and defeat New Socialism because America's freedom, justice, democracy as well as the American Dream are worth fighting for.

He takes on the occasion to argue that the best way to avoid a recession is to make America the best place in the world to do business and to create the best friendly-environment for small businesses, which President Trump and Vice-President Rubio did and which Rubio will continue to do as President in order to get America to full-employment and ensure long-term economic prosperity.

What Ivan Rodriguez did part 1

Ivan Rodriguez once again campaigned in Arizona on the idea of his free market healthcare plan and how he would cut payroll taxes on working and middle class families.

He also talked about once again his plan to work and reinstate Glass Stegall to independent  voters in Arizona and Utah plus campaigned on the idea of importing prescription drugs from Canada.

As you know, Wisconsin is the birthplace of the Republican Party. Our party was born in 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin. Meeting at a school house in Ripon on February 28, 1854, some 30 opponents of the Kansas-Nebraska Act called for the organization of a new political party to link their cause with the Declaration of Independence. The group also took a leading role in the creation of the Republican Party in many northern states during the summer of 1854. While conservatives and many moderates were content merely to call for the restoration of the Missouri Compromise or a prohibition of slavery extension, the group insisted that no further political compromise with slavery was possible. The February 1854 meeting was the first political meeting of the group that would become the Republican Party.

We will promote and defend all the values that made America great and prosperous and got us to the prosperity and the strong security our country is now : free market, free enterprise, fiscal conservatism, tax reform, small government and energy independence. We will promote all the policies that made America safe : strong military, strong alliances, strong diplomacy and strong American leadership. By defending those values, we’re going to win in November.

This campaign is about opportunity. By cutting taxes on manufacturing companies, reducing taxes for all Americans, including the middle class, passing a flat tax, abolishing the IRS, getting us to energy independence, promoting free trade and balancing our budget, we will unleash incredible and massive economic growth that will bring America to the brightest future we could imagine through permanent economic prosperity, full employment and expansion of the American Dream here on the land of opportunity.

Thank you! God bless you, God bless Wisconsin and God bless America!

-Ahead of the special election that will be held in California’s 25th congressional district on April 17, Vice-President Rubio campaigns for Republican congressional candidate former Simi Valley Mayor Keith Mashburn. The Vice-President praises Mashburn’s service in the Ventura County Fire Department, which has numerous times combated wildfires in California, as well as his business expertise (as he and his wife owned and operated three successful local retail businesses, Awards Specialties, Java Island and Mashburn Kawasaki) and takes on the occasion to argue that Mashburn is the best candidate to help keeping America safe and prosperous by representing CA-25 in the House of Representatives. In an effort to promote Mashburn’s candidacy, Rubio also praised his record as Mayor of Simi Valley in which he made the city an advocate for business, created a Mayors Council on Economic Development provide an opportunity for stakeholders to meet regularly discussing strategies that will assist all businesses to find ways to overcome compliance issues, to keep existing businesses in Simi Valley and bring new ones there, which brought prosperity to this city thanks to the promotion of small government, ingenuity and free enterprise. He honored Mashburn’s record of keeping Simi Valley safe as Mayor by maintaining and improving the relationship between the city and the Ventura County Fire Department and by seeking feedback from the community, verifying that the highest level of care is always provided to make sure that the local firefighters have the necessary tools and material to combat wildfires. He calls on voters of CA-25 to go to the polls on April 17 and cast their vote for Keith Mashburn, a man they can uncontestably trust to keep them safe and defend the  interest of this district’s taxpayers and to keep moving America forward through lower taxes, free enterprise, defense of constitutional rights and strong national defense to successfully meet the national security challenges facing America.

Just like we did in Wisconsin, Marco Rubio is not afraid to challenge the status quo and to stand up against the big government special interests. That’s what he and Donald Trump did and got America to where we are today : the strongest economic growth in modern history, secured borders and an America safer than ever before thanks to the restoration of American leadership and a strong military.

The Democrats want you to believe that this election is about change vs more of the same. But that is totally a false choice. The choice is rather between good change and bad change. Because change is not a destination just like hope is not a strategy. Marco Rubio will bring the change that will create jobs and prosperity. He’ll lower taxes, including for the middle class, so our economy can grow and so our country preserves and reinforces its status as the best business-friendly environment in the world. He’ll expand free trade with our allies around the world so we can make America the most competitive nation in the world economy, counter-balance China's trade power, allow American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments and make America number one in auto production again. He will finally lead our country to energy independence so we can become free from foreign oil and he will do so by taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy, encouraging oil drilling and production, invest a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies so we can produce more solar, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric energies which will also be done through tax credits. His energy plan will make us number one in nuclear energy production and export by building 40 new nuclear power plants by 2050.

Marco Rubio will bring the change that will increasingly require less ground troops to combat terrorism. To face the threat represented by Boko Haram, he will provide military training and material support to our allies in Western Africa so they will have the necessary tools to defeat terrorism and under his leadership our country will lead drone airstrikes against Boko Haram key targets, including their controlled oil refineries in order to deprive them of any means to boost their war effort and their plans for terrorist attacks. As a result, it will reduce the need for additional ground troops there and it will cost our country less as drones are significantly cheaper to purchase, fuel, and maintain than regular airplanes. As President of the United States, Marco Rubio will bring the change that will give us long term global peace : Russia is on track to elect a pro-American President and so it will make it possible for both countries to have better relations and that’s what Marco Rubio will do if Sergei Polonsky is elected so we can finally restore stability, peace and territorial integrity in Eastern Europe and the Middle East and eliminate any risk of nuclear war and ensure the expansion of human rights, freedom and peace in the globe.

That is the kind of change that will provide growth, jobs, prosperity as well as long-term global peace and security, not what our political opponents want to do, which is to tax us more, increase the size of government, make us more dependent on foreign energy, increase tariffs, send jobs overseas, retreat from our duty to keep America safe. We need Marco Rubio to save our economy and our national security and he has the best experience to do so. We need you to follow him so we can get America to full-employment, permanent prosperity, long-term and strong security and steady global peace and that’s how our country will keep moving forward and strengthen America’s status as the greatest nation in the history of mankind.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

GOTV rally in Mesa, Arizona with Senator Martha McSally and former Governor Doug Ducey

Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_McSally#/media/File:Sen._Martha_McSally_official_Senate_headshot_116th_congress.jpg
Martha McSally : Hello Arizona! I’m proud to be representing to the U.S. Senate the state that will make Marco Rubio our party’s nominee for President of the United States.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I’m proud of it just like I’m proud to have served our country in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years, a period in which I became the first female U.S. fighter pilot to fly in combat and the first woman to command a fighter squadron. Along with my comrades in the U.S. Air Force, I fought to defend America’s freedom during Operation Southern Watch and Operation Allied Force. After we our country suffered the worst terrorist attack in our history on 9/11, we fought together, we fought together, regardless of our differences, to counter the threat represented by radical Islamic terrorism and it was with love for my country and its values that I participated to Operation Enduring Freedom that liberated Afghanistan from the Taliban and from Al Qaeda and eventually led to the elimination of Osama Bin Laden, the perpetrator of 9/11.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

You know, 23 years ago, I led the successful lawsuit against the Department of Defense, which was McSally v. Rumsfeld, challenging the military policy that required U.S. and U.K. servicewomen stationed in Saudi Arabia to wear the body-covering abaya when traveling off base in the country. I was represented by the Rutherford Institute in this lawsuit. I’ve been fighting for a change in the policy for 7 years and had filed the lawsuit after I’ve been threatened with a court martial if I didn’t comply and wear the abaya. My suit alleged the regulations required me to send the message that I believed women were subservient to men. In response to the kind of discrimination I called out and fought against, the U.S. Congress passed legislation prohibiting anyone in the military from requiring or encouraging servicewomen to put on abayas in Saudi Arabia or to use taxpayers' money to buy them. Throughout his life and political career, Marco Rubio has displayed his admiration and respect towards our men and women in uniform as well as to their patriotic and courageous service to our Republic, including my fellow Arizonan and fellow combat veteran John McCain. And that’s why he sponsored the VA reform law that empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. He put forward the legislation to pass the VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act in order to protect any whistleblower denouncing any mistreatment and abuse towards our veterans. Under President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 has been adopted, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans. Throughout his career, Marco Rubio fought to make sure that our troops’ service would be honored for ever and would not be in vain and that’s why he advocated policies keeping our military as well as American leadership strong. He did so by passing tough sanctions on Hezbollah and by helping President Trump to keep this country safe, to secure our borders, to defeat ISIS and to get the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran. As a principled patriot and defender of freedom, I’ve always trusted his foreign policy judgement and that’s why I helped him to co-sponsor the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 and both Democrats and Republicans unanimously came together to condemn China’s oppression on Hong Kong. We need Marco Rubio now more than ever so we can finally defeat terrorism, ensure steady and long-term global peace and ensure the permanency of America’s security and that’s why I’m calling on you to go to the polls tonight, to make him our presidential nominee and the next President of the United States of America.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

Own creation
Doug Ducey : Thank you Mesa! Thank you for your warm welcome to our next President Marco Rubio!

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I’m a living proof that America’s prosperity requires making this country the best place in the world to do business because I lived it. After graduating from Arizona State University, I joined Protector & Gamble and began a career in sales and marketing in addition of serving as president of the Arizona chapter of Young Entrepreneurs' Organization and the Greater Phoenix Economic Club. Then I became CEO of Cold Stone Creamery, a prosperous ice cream company that created jobs and under my leadership as CEO, this company started taking expansion here in this country and abroad and became the sixth best-selling brand of ice cream in the US thanks to our ingenuity, entrepreneurship and hard work. As Arizona Secretary of Treasury, I helped Governor Brewer to promote fiscal discipline and tax reform, which helped growing Arizona’s economy, which I continued as Governor of Arizona, a period during which I made this state a place open for business. No wonder that I signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. As Governor, I signed legislations to prohibit local ordinances on disposable containers and to prohibit local governments from taxing disposable bags. And with the election of Donald Trump at the presidency of the United States, we have been able to do more : under his leadership, we passed the largest tax cuts in American history and Marco Rubio helped him passing this tax reform legislation by leading the effort to double the Child Tax Credit. As a result, our country got the strongest economic growth in modern history through the creation of more than 7 million jobs and a reduction of the unemployment rate below 4 %, bringing us at our lowest unemployment rate in 5 decades. Thanks to these policies, over 500 000 new jobs have been created in Arizona in the last decade, this state is now 4th in the nation in terms of GDP growth (3.57 %), is ranked 3rd in the U.S. for economic momentum and Arizona's median household incomes have reached a record high of $61,125.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Now, our political opponents Jeff Merkley and Tammy Duckworth opposed those tax reform bills and want to undo all this progress through higher taxes on you, on the middle class, on businesses, which will cost you money, cost your jobs and make us more dependent on foreign energy.

[Crowd boos]

They simply don’t understand the economy and they will bring our country backwards. There is only one candidate in this race who can be trusted to grow the economy and spent his entire life defending the American Dream and this candidate is Marco Rubio.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

His parents came to this country from Cuba with no fluency in English and with no money but thanks to the hard work of a bartender and housekeeper, their kids, including Marco, managed to earn the opportunities that generations preceding them could not have earned for themselves. In the U.S. Senate, he cosponsored the AGREE Act that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital and gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise. He cosponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act, which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. He successfully fought to double the child tax credit and he served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and defended the interests of small businesses by passing legislation creating a favorable environment to small businesses because small businesses create 70 % of the jobs in America. And as Vice-President, he helped President Trump to pursue the economic growth that our country is living and with his election at the presidency of the United States, the best is yet to come.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Now is our chance to get this country to full employment, to energy independence and to strong competition in the world economy. That requires proven and steady leadership and these are qualities defining Marco Rubio and these are goals that he will fulfill as our next President for the sake America’s prosperity and to the preservation and expansion of the American Dream and of our country’s status as the land of opportunity. So, Arizona, we need all of you to come out and vote for a great, experienced, tested and determined leader and the next President of the United States Marco Rubio!

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio : Thank you Mesa! Thank you Martha and thank you Doug! Thank you Arizona!

This election represents an important choice for our country’s future : either we ignore the lessons of history through broken and failed policies that believe in the government more than in the people, deprive our military of the necessary tools to keep this country safe, make the devastating effects of Opioid Crisis deeper by legalizing opioids and diminish our constitutional rights; or we keep moving this country forward and face the challenges of our time for the sake of our cherished values through proven and experienced leadership.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Our purpose is to keep this blessed country free, safe, prosperous and proud. Here is the change we offer for our country’s future : a middle-class tax cut that would reduce their tax rate from 22 % to 15 % so the middle-class can even further benefit from the prosperity of the last 8 years. We’re going to get this country to energy independence by encouraging more oil drilling, production and transportation and invest a part of revenues from oil drilling in the development of renewable energies so we can produce more solar, nuclear, wind, geothermal and hydroelectric energies and thanks to my plan to get our country to a total of 100 nuclear power plants in the next quarter-century we’ll become number one in nuclear energy production and export.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That way we’ll be free from foreign energy, including energy from anti-American forces seeking to do harm to our people (including Turkey and Boko Haram). We’re going to expand free trade in order to make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy thanks to lower tariffs, to make our manufacturing industry even stronger, to allow U.S. businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments and make America number one in auto production again.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We’re going to develop new infrastructures in this country by lowering the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; giving back the control of the highways to the states; preventing Washington special interests  from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; abolishing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions annually and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. That will also be done through an investment of a part of future budget surpluses into infrastructure development. That way we will further facilitate economic activities across this country and encourage the implementation of new businesses here in America, thus favoring further job creation.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We’re going to ensure strong and long term global peace which will be made possible with Sergei Polonsky’s election at the presidency of Russia and so we’re going to normalize our relations with Russia under a Polonsky presidency so we can have better relations between our 2 countries and be strong partners for the expansion of human rights, freedom and security around the world. Our plan to defeat terrorism will increasingly require less troops on the ground thanks to the provision of military training and arsenal to our Western African allies to make them fully prepared to defend their countries against Boko Haram and also thanks to air drone strikes against Boko Haram key targets and on their controlled oil refineries in order to deprive them of any revenues to fund their terrorist activities and their plans to attack us and our allies. That will finally lead us to victory against radical Islamic terrorism.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That is the real kind of change and of right solutions that the American people is seeking in their next President instead of our opponents’ empty call for change that would lead our country backwards through higher taxes on you and on businesses, cost us jobs and increase the deficit, make us more dependent on foreign oil and weaken our national security by depriving our military of the tools needed to stop terror.

My friends, we can’t afford to let the Democrats run away with this election and impose policies that will spoil the progress of the last 8 years, cost your jobs as well as your constitutional rights and make our enemies stronger. That’s why we need to come together as a united party so we can fully focus on the general election campaign and explain why we are the real campaign for change and represent provide the right solutions for America’s future. And thanks to my leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, as member of the Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President, we’re going to keep moving this country forward. We need to stand together for opportunity. That’s why we need all of you to vote on March 26 and cast your vote for me to make sure we’re going to win enough delegates to make me the Republican presidential nominee and then the next President of the United States of America and we’re going to ensure long-term and permanent economic prosperity by leading our country to full employment thanks to tax reform, free enterprise and energy independence, ensure the protection of your constitutional rights thanks to the nomination of conservative judges and get us to long-term and solid global peace thanks to strong American leadership.

Thank you! God bless you! God bless Arizona and God bless the United States of America!

Pompeo also hold fundraising events for the Rubio campaign in March 26's primary states.

Former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, Arizona Senator Martha McSally and U.S. Representative Paul Boyer (AZ-09) campaign for Rubio in Arizona on economy, energy, agriculture, free enterprise, budget balance, fiscal discipline, social issues, space exploration policy foreign policy and counter-terrorism.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox campaigns for Rubio all across the state of Utah on economy, energy independence, free trade, agriculture, infrastructure, SCOTUS, social issues and foreign policy. He also led efforts to mobilize Utah's Hispanic voters (as Rubio would become the first Hispanic President if elected) and Mormon voters for Rubio (who was once a Mormon along with his family during his childhood before converting to catholicism) in order to create a great coalition to help the Vice-President win the Utah primary.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem campaigns for Rubio in Arizona, Utah, North Dakota, Colorado and Wisconsin on economy, agriculture, social issues, energy, free trade and foreign policy.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker as well as Michigan Senator John James campaign for Rubio in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania on economy, free trade, agriculture, manufacturing, energy independence, tax reform, free enterprise, infrastructure, social issues and foreign policy. In order to help Marco Rubio to keep the Midwestern red wall that helped Donald Trump to win both in 2016 and 2020, Governor Walker and Senator James spent the entire month stumping for Rubio in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania praising the successful effects of USMCA on America's manufacturing industry and automobile industry as well as Rubio's expertise on economic issues due to his record and his experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and his contributions to the strong economic growth that America is now living (including his effort to double the Child Tax Credit). They take on the occasion to argue that he's the best candidate to keep the economy growing and praised his economic agenda that will reduce taxes for the middle class, lower taxes for businesses, including manufacturing businesses' fiscal burden to convince them that America is the best place in the world for manufacturing workers, champion free trade, get America to energy independence by taking advantage of all of this country's sources of energy (oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric, etc.) and make America the best place in the world to do business while blasting Tammy Duckworth and Jeff Merkley on their big government agenda that would increase taxes on the American people and businesses, make this country more dependent on foreign oil through regulations on America's energy industry, increase the debt and restrict trade with our allies.

Iowa Senator and Senate Majority Leader Joni Ernst and House Speaker Jim Jordan campaigns for Rubio in Arizona, Utah, American Samoa, Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio and Pennsylvania in addition of campaigning for former Simi Valley Mayor Keith Mashburn in California's 25th congressional distrct. While campaigning in Arizona, Utah and American Samoa, they praised the Vice-President's political career, his experience, accomplishments and agenda for America's future and call on Republican primary voters and independent voters to coalesce around Marco Rubio or the sake of party unity by giving him enough delegates to clinch the Republican presidential nomination so we can fully focus on the general election campaign, win the 2024 presidential election and keep moving this country forward, to full employment, energy independence and long-term and steady global peace and national security.

Tammy Duckworth Surrogate Schedule

Arizona

The Arizona leg of the Duckworth campaign is chaired by Governor Ruben Gallego, an early supporter of Senator Duckworth's run for the Presidency. Governor Gallego will work across Maricopa county, coordinating with the campaign HQ in Phoenix on spreading Duckworth's message of universal childcare, raising the minimum wage, and creating a pathway to citizenship for immigrants. Governor Gallego will also assist in the outreach effort with Native Americans across the state, owing much of his electoral success to engaging with these communities. The Arizona campaign also will be assisted by neighboring Governor Gavin Newsom, who will campaign across the southwestern portion of the state, with planned stops in Yuma, Gila Bend, and Tucson. While in Tucson, Governor Newsom will lead GOTV efforts across the city, joining volunteers and staff in canvass and phone banking efforts.

Utah

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto will spearhead the Utah campaign on behalf of Senator Duckworth. Senator Cortez Masto will hold events in St George, Provo, and Salt Lake City, with the latter serving as the campaign's HQ in the state. The focus of the Utah message will be to highlight the Protect Working Families Act and Republican opposition to it proving that electing a Democratic Congress is paramount.

Washington

Former candidate and early supporter of Tammy Duckworth, Governor Jared Polis will lead the GOTV effort in Washington state. Working primarily from the HQ in Seattle, Governor Polis will highlight some of Duckworth's more progressive policy plans, like passing the Equality Act and raising taxes on the ultra-wealthy. The campaign tone will be that Tammy Duckworth is an electable progressive that can pass meaningful change in DC. The Governor will coordinate GOTV efforts across the state, with outreach in Seattle, Tacoma, Yakima, and Spokane. Much like they did in Arizona, the campaign will direct outreach to Native communities across Washington.

Wisconsin

Being a Midwestern state that went to Trump in both 2016 and 2020 after supporting President Obama, Senator Duckworth has invested much time and effort in Wisconsin, with campaign offices in both urban and more rural regions of the state. The GOTV efforts here will be co-chaired by notable surrogates from neighboring states, Senator Amy Klobuchar and Senator Raja Krishnamoorthi. Senator Klobuchar will focus her time on the more rural West side of the state, a region familiar with her due to its proximity to Minnesota media markets. Senator Klobuchar will hold major rallies in Eau Claire and La Crosse where she will highlight Duckworth's commitment to the Midwest, her support of the agricultural community, and her universal broadband policy. Klobuchar is joined at these rallies by Governor Walz, who will speak with voters on winning back the Midwest, before focusing his efforts on GOTV in La Crosse. Senator Krishnamoorthi will spend most of his time in the South, a region bordering Illinois. He will operate from the Kenosha HQ, with rallies in Milwaukee, Madison, and Waukesha. The message Senator Krishnamoorthi will spread is of Duckworth's work to expand the ACA, get to universal coverage, and provide universal childcare in order to help close the wage gap. The Senator will spend the time leading up to primary day on GOTV efforts in Milwaukee.

Brett Baier : "Welcome back one and all to the Fox News Coverage of the 2024 Presidential Primaries!"

Martha MacCullum : "And we have breaking news now as the results come in: Senator Jeff Merkley is suspending his campaign for President just now. We are getting word that the Senator quote 'has been feeling as though a hotly contested primary will give Vice President Rubio time to recover and potentially catch up to the nominee in the polls'. This come as a major surprise, as we believe Senator Merkley will win delegates tonight, but, nonetheless, this leads to a projection."

Rubio, Duckworth to be nominees for President

Yesterday was a decisive day for the presidential election, as Vice President Rubio and Senator Duckworth were each successful in securing their respective parties' nominations for the general election this November. Duckworth secured her victory when Merkley dropped out over fears his staying in would allow the Vice President to strengthen his position in the meantime, while Rubio reached the necessary 1262 delegates last night.

House Dems vote overwhelmingly to replace Swalwell with Fudge

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA-15), the now-former House Minority Leader, was defeated in a vote by his own party in his bid to maintain the leadership, as Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-OH-11) defeated him 165-34, with several members abstaining. This comes as little surprise, as there were early fears of Swalwell's unpopularity weighing down House Democrats running for re-election. Swalwell has announced he will continue to run for re-election, though his opponent, fellow Democrat Rob Bonta, has seen a rise in polls since Swalwell took up the leadership.

Sandoval confirmation vote draws closer as filibuster continues to gain support

As the vote on the confirmation of former Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval to the Supreme Court nears, yet more left-leaning Senators are backing Jeff Merkley's planned filibuster, with now 32 Democratic Senators supporting it, compared to 54 Senators (nearly all of whom are Republicans) who oppose it. Governor Sandoval, for his part, has stated that he is "confident" the Senate will "see past this partisan nonsense and vote on my confirmation in a dignified and fair manner."

Bernie Sanders suffers heart attack, may leave Senate seat

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) suffered another heart attack on April 10, leading some to speculate he may leave his Senate seat early. Sanders is already retiring at the end of his term next January, but many believe that the 82-year-old may leave early following another health scare. Sanders is expected to make a full, albeit slow, recovery.

Polonsky wins Russian runoff election

Sergei Polonsky, the winner of the first round of the Russian presidential election, will be the next President of the Russian Federation, following a 62-38 victory in the runoff election last week, defeating United Russia candidate Dmitry Medvedev and decreeing "a new era is at hand for Russia, one that will bring a bright future to all." Incumbent President Vladimir Putin, an independent heavily associated with United Russia, declined to comment for this story.

(If there were any follow-ups/additional news stories I missed, please let me know.)

BREAKING: TRUMP ENDORSES RUBIO FOLLOWING VP'S REACHING 1262, OBAMA ENDORSES DUCKWORTH AS SHE BECOMES PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE
On April 14, following the Vice President's securing of the Republican nomination, President Donald Trump tweeted out the following:

"Marco has been a loyal and GREAT Vice President who has done many excellent things for this country. Now that he has the Republican Party's backing, I officially ENDORSE him to succeed me as POTUS!"

Former President Barack Obama also gave a statement the same day.

"I remember when I was an ambitious young Senator from Illinois, who wouldn't take 'no' or 'wait' for an answer based simply on the color of his skin. I became this country's President because our party came together with a new coalition that embraced the idea of a minority President, rather than hemming and hawing about long dead ones. Tammy has this exact same drive and dedication to serve her country, I daresay even stronger than my own. And so, as you made me this great nation's 44th President, I would ask you to join me in making Senator Tammy Duckworth its 46th!"

Vice-President Marco Rubio's Victory Speech in Phoenix, Arizona
Own creation
Thank you! Thank you Arizona, Utah, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Colorado! Thank you so very much.

I am thankful of the support you gave to our campaign during this long and intense primary race. Tonight, thanks to your support, we have won enough delegates to give me the great honor to proudly announce you that I will be the Republican nominee for President of the United States of America.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

I want to thank my family : my wife Jeanette and my children Amanda, Daniella, Dominick and Anthony and our dear friends for their contribution to our victory and for the contribution they will give to our victory and to America's victory on next Election Day through love, compassion and conviction. I also want to thank all my former rivals for the nomination for their contribution for America's cause by participating in this race and bringing up great ideas that will boost our party as well as the whole country and you know why because we are a party of ideas. Now I'm thanking them for their support to our campaign because right now time has come for us to work together in order to convince the American people that we put forward the right solutions for change and to face the challenges of our time to make sure we'll keep moving this country forward.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My father, a hard-working bartender, used to tell me all the time : En este pais, ustedes van a poder lograr todas las cosas que nosotros no pudimos. “In this country, you will achieve all the things we never could.”

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I believe that presidential candidates are judged on their records, their character and their life experiences. I was not born into wealth and privilege and I did not grow up rich, yet I’m standing ahead of you as our party’s nominee for President. So I understand the concerns of everyday Americans and that’s why it has always been my purpose to make sure that the next generations will be better off than previous ones.

That’s why I helped pass the double of the child tax credit to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act successful, which lowered taxes for all Americans, made this country the best place in the world to do business and provided the strongest economic growth in our nation’s history and got us to strong economic prosperity. That’s why I protected the interest of small businesses as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. And that’s why I take the responsibilities, I give you my word and I will keep it. I will fight every single day to create the best favorable conditions for hard-working Americans and businesses across this country.

My opponent believes that economic prosperity comes from big government that takes your money away from you, that reduces your purchasing power, that gives you a harder access to education and that makes America a harder place to do business. We will campaign to reinforce job creation in America by making businesses more competitive thanks to lower taxes and less regulation for all Americans, including the middle class, and the promotion of free enterprise. This kind of policy is the right answer to grow our economy, I know it through my experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and these are the policies that gave us the strong economic prosperity our country is now living. Our economy is moving in the right direction and we’re going to ensure it will keep doing so.

My opponent believes that we should abrogate trade treaties, and pretend the global economy will go away and Americans can secure our future by trading and investing only among ourselves who represent 5 % of the world economy. We will campaign to seize the opportunities provided by the growth of free markets in the globe, reduce taxes for manufacturing companies to convince them that America is the best place for them to work and do business, reduce tariffs, make America the most competitive nation in the world economy, allow American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments and make America number one in auto production again in the world.

My opponent believes that we can get to energy independence without more drilling and more nuclear power. We will campaign to make America energy independent so we can be free from foreign energy. We’ll do it by taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy, which will make our country safer, cleaner and more prosperous by leading the world in the use, development and discovery of alternative sources of energy. And by producing and exploiting our own energy, we’ll prevent capitals from falling in the hands of anti-American forces through our imports of oil from anti-American dictatorships or countries in throes of terrorism, thus strengthening our country’s security.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We’re in a world of challenges, challenges that we need to meet for the sake of our country’s national security and global peace. We’ve got Boko Haram threatening stability in West Africa and has threatened our freedom by orchestrating 2 terrorist attacks on our national soil. We’ve got Erdogan’s Turkey that is destabilizing and peace in the Middle East and is leading a genocide against the Kurdish people.

The next President must be ready to lead on day one, must encourage a great participation and co-operation of our allies in our fight against terrorism, must have the determination to bring a conclusion to the War on Terror through unconditional victory against our enemies and through the promotion of peace through strength. I will take this responsibility with courage, conviction, patriotism and determination. That’s what I did whether it is as U.S. Senator, as Vice-President, and that’s what I will keep doing as President of the United States because I have the best foreign policy experience to accomplish those goals. That’s why we’re going to keep our military strong and use all the necessary tools to modernize it, stay on offense against terrorism at home and abroad, use the strong and effective diplomacy that got North Korea and Iran to denuclearize, that way, we will get this world to long-term global peace thanks to victory against terror and strong American leadership that will normalize our relations with Sergei Polonsky’s Russia (which will stop nuclear and military escalation between our 2 countries and strengthen freedom around the world), prevent nuclear wars, stand up to tyranny and keep our country safe.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

The contest begins tonight, and we’re going to fight every day to strengthen our country’s status as the land of opportunity, opportunity to prosper, opportunity to succeed, opportunity to live free, opportunity to live safe. That’s how we’re going to get to this country to full-employment and permanent economic prosperity, to preserve our constitutional rights and to long-term national security and global peace. So, my friends, follow me, stand up and fight for our country’s strength, ideals, greatness and future and we’re going to preserve and reinforce America’s status as the best hope of mankind and ensure that America’s greatness has no limits.

Gracias! God bless you all! God bless the United States of America!

President Donald Trump endorses Vice-President Marco Rubio for President of the United States
Own creation

Location : White House, Washington D.C.

Date : April 14 2024

President Donald Trump : It's a great honor for me to welcome my friend and Vice-President, Marco Rubio, as the nominee of the Republican Party.

Marco has shown incredible courage, strength and perseverance in order to get to that point of the campaign. And that's exactly the character we need in a President : someone who doesn’t give up, who is ready to make tough decisions, who is ready to lead and won’t back down in the face of danger.

We also need someone with a big heart. Even though I campaigned against him, I have got to know Marco in the last 8 years. This is a man who deeply loves his family and cares about every single American from the top to the bottom and from the middle to the side, including the less fortunate among us. I’ve campaigned with him and we worked together for the sake of America’s future.

Marco is a loyal and great Vice-President. He made me a better President, he helped me pass the largest tax cuts in history thanks to his efforts to double the child tax credit, thus giving America the strongest economic growth in modern history. Thanks to his foreign policy experience, he helped me to defeat ISIS and to get the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran and, thanks to strong diplomacy and American leadership under our tenure, to get the world to the election of a pro-American President in Russia, thus clearing the way to steady global peace and stability.

Marco will be President for all Americans, he will be a President who will bring determination to get this country to full-employment and grant opportunity for all through the promotion of free enterprise and tax reform and to defeat an enemy and keep our country safe through a strong military, strong alliances and strong American leadership.

So I am proud to welcome my partner, my friend, a great leader, a great American and the next President of the United States Marco Rubio.

Vice-President Marco Rubio : Thank you, Mr. President. I'm very honored and humbled to have the opportunity to receive the endorsement of the President of the United States, a man who I have great admiration and respect for. As it is well known, he and I had a very good competition in 2016 and I was privileged and proud to have the opportunity to campaign for him during his election and re-election for the Presidency of the United States, which got this country to where we are today : strong economic growth and prosperity through free enterprise, tax reform and small government and steady national security thanks to a strong military and American leadership. I appreciate his endorsement. I appreciate his service to our country. I intend to have as much possible campaigning events together, as it is in keeping with the President's heavy schedule. And I look forward to that opportunity. I look forward to the chance to bring our message to America.

Last night, as you know, Senator Duckworth called to congratulate me. I pledged at that time a campaign of ideas based on the issues facing this country and on the stark differences in vision that we have for America’s future. I hope that the President will find time from his busy schedule to be on the campaign trail with me, and I will be very privileged to have the opportunity of being again on the campaign trail with him but with different roles this time around because every contribution from every voter can count in this election and that’s how we’re going to win this election because now our party is united behind my campaign and by working together, we will win and we will keep moving this country forward to make sure that we’re going to get America to full-employment, energy independent, to permanent national security and global peace and strengthen our country’s status as the leader in space exploration.

I thank you, Mr. President, and it's a great pleasure and honor.

Ivan Rodriguez releases a statement

My friends we have come a long way and we have had fun spring this presidential run but today I am announcing that I will leave the presidential race.

It looks like there is no possible way that we will get the nomination and it is the best choice for us.

I wish the best for Vice President Rubio and hope he wins in November.

Marco Rubio's campaign schedule, Part 1

(Own creation)

April 14, 2024
-Meeting and speech with President Donald Trump to receive his endorsement

April 15-16, 2024
-Campaign for Keith Mashburn all across California’s 25th congressional district, including in Simi Valley, Castaic, Santa Clarita, Valencia, Palmdale, Acton, Littlerock and Lake Los Angeles, California ahead of the special election in CA-25 on April 16.

-Rally for Keith Mashburn in Santa Clarita, California :

Source : https://www.reaganfoundation.org/programs-events/events-calendar/reagan-forum-with-marco-rubio/
Marco Rubio : Thank you Santa Clarita! I'm here to introduce to you a fighter and the next U.S. Representative from California's 25th congressional district Keith Mashburn.

There clearly isn't better man to represent the values shared by the people of that district than Keith Mashburn. He and his wife operated 3 successful and prosperous retail businesses : Awards Specialties, Java Island and Mashburn Kawasaki. As Mayor of Simi Valley, he made this city an advocate for business, cut taxes and created a Mayors Council on Economic Development to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to meet regularly discussing strategies assisting all businesses to overcome compliance issues, to keep existing businesses in Simi Valley and bring new ones there, which brought prosperity to this city and reduced the city's unemployment rate from below 3 % thanks to the promotion of small government, ingenuity and free enterprise. And thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that Tammy Duckworth and Juan Carillo opposed, 2,649,200 California households are benefiting from the doubling of the child tax credit that I helped pass. A typical California family of four received a $2,000 annual tax cut and a single parent with one child received a $1,300 annual tax cut. Thanks to those tax reform policies, nine out of ten households (precisely 11,633,710 California households) take the standard deduction which provides tax relief and simplifies the tax filing process. 553,000 California households are benefiting from the TCJA’s elimination of the Obamacare individual mandate tax. Most households hit with this tax made less than $50,000 per year. So if we promote tax reform and free enterprise, we’re going to give everyone a fair chance to prosper and to live the American Dream, thus reinforcing America’s status as the land of opportunity and that requires electing pro-growth lawmakers in order to help pass our pro-growth agenda.

Keith has also provided courageous and hardworking service to California as a firefighter in the Ventura County Fire Department that has so many times fought wildfires in California. And as Mayor of Simi Valley, he kept this city safe by maintaining and improving the relationship between the city and the Ventura County Fire Department and by seeking feedback from the community, verifying that the highest level of care is always provided to make sure that the local firefighters have the tools and material needed to combat wildfires. He knows how to keep America safe and that is why, as your Congressman, he will pass legislation that will keep our military strong and modernize it and keep American leadership strong so we can keep our borders secured and also to defeat terrorism at home and abroad. Facing America's economic challenges and national security challenges and protecting our constitutional rights will be my top priorities as President of the United States for the sake of our freedom, prosperity and security and that's why we need to stand together for opportunity and we need you to elect as CA-25's next Representative Keith Mashburn to strengthen our majority in the House of Representatives, to pass our agenda and to keep moving America forward.

Keith Mashburn : Thank you, Santa Clarita and thank you, Mr. Vice-President for introducing me. You know, it is also emotional for me to have governed the city of Simi Valley, host to the presidential library and museum dedicated to the memory, record and leadership of another great American and great leader : Ronald Reagan. This is also the city where he is resting. His spirit of optimism, decency and wisdom are in our hearts and will always define our party and our country. One of the things that made Ronald Reagan a great President is that he believed in America and got this country to believe in itself and in its greatness again during a time of crisis and afterwards. After our country suffered a recession caused by big government and high taxes as well as by an oil crisis, Ronald Reagan helped fixing the economy by cutting taxes and the size of government, which drastically reduced our unemployment rate and our inflation, strengthened our GDP and created 16 million jobs. After the Soviet Union was beating us in terms of nuclear weaponry and was invading Afghanistan while our ambassadors in Iran were held hostage, Ronald Reagan rebuilt our military which kept America safe and free and led us to victory against the Soviet Union in the Cold War. President Trump and Vice-President Rubio followed those principles defended by Ronald Reagan in order to fix America after 8 years of economic sluggish caused by big government, high taxation and energy dependence and of insecurity caused by cuts in the military and withdrawal by the previous administration. Just like Ronald Reagan, President Trump and Vice-President Rubio provided the largest tax cuts in history, which gave us the lowest unemployment rate in the last 50 years and the creation of more than 7 and a half million new jobs. Just like Ronald Reagan did through his defense build-up and tough diplomacy, they rebuilt and modernized our military and restored American leadership, which defeated ISIS (that orchestrated the 2015 terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California), got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran and is now about to lead us to a Russia friendly towards America, freedom and democracy thanks to the election of pro-American President like Sergei Polonski and will lead America to strong global peace. Despite all this progress, the Democrats, including my opponent Juan Carillo, want to bring this country backwards through higher taxes and regulations that will make America a harder place to do business, you’re your jobs, your paycheck and your healthcare and make us more dependent on foreign energy and through deep cuts in the military, which will deprive us of the tools needed to stop terror and will make America an easier target for terrorists. But fortunately our nominee and our next President Marco Rubio will pursue the progress of the last 8 years by reducing middle class taxes, getting America to energy independence by taking advantage if all of our country's sources of energy, promoting free trade to make us the most competitive country in the world economy, keep our military strong and modernize it so we will defeat Boko Haram and maintain American leadership so we can get the world to permanent global peace through normalization of our country's relations with Polonsky's Russia and through the ratification of the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty. And that is why we need all of you to mobilize at the highest possible number to make sure we're going to win one for the Gipper. Because if you do so, under a Rubio Administration and a Republican Congress we will get this country to full-employment and permanent economic prosperity, permanency of our people's constitutional rights and long-term global peace and national security and that's why I'm asking for your vote. Thank you! God bless California and God bless America!

-Economic policy speech at Sealed Air headquarters in Charlotte, NC
-Middle-class tax cut policy speech in Charlotte, NC where Vice-President Rubio unveils his plan to reduce taxes for the middle-class in an effort to appeal among middle-class voters :

Own creation

The Democrats keep claiming that the tax cuts passed in the last 8 years favored only riches and crushed the middle-class. They are wrong.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act are working for all Americans, including the middle-class. Thanks to those tax-cuts and pro-growth policies, a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. A single parent with one child with annual income of $41 000 saw a tax cut of $1,304, a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes. In addition, 91 % of taxpayers with annual income between $64,000 and $108,000 earned an average federal tax cut of $1400 in 2018 according to the left of center Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy. Similarly, 90 % of taxpayers with annual income of between $40,000 and $64,000 got an average federal tax cut of $810, while 87 percent of taxpayers with annual income between $108,000 and $232,000 saw an average federal tax cut of $2,710. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act doubled the standard deduction for an individual from $6,000 to $12,000 and for a family from $12,000 to $24,000. 105 million Americans took the standard deduction in 2015 according to the IRS statistics of income (SOI) database. The TCJA doubled the child tax credit from $1,000 to $2,000 per child, benefiting 22 million families that took the Credit. The TCJA raised the threshold of the Alternative Minimum Tax so fewer taxpayers are forced to comply with the provision. More than 4,464,430 families and individuals paid the Alternative Minimum Tax in 2015. When it comes to married small business owners with income of $100 000 per year, with $60,000 from wages, $25,000 in compensation from their non-corporate business, and $15,000 of business income, they enjoyed a tax relief of more than $2,600. Their tax bill has been reduced from what they would pay next year, around $10,982.50, to paying around $8,379 instead—a reduction of $2,603.50. This represents a reduction in their tax bill of nearly 24 percent. So it also helps small businesses across this country to increase their competitiveness as well as their ability to produce, to sell, to hire and to create jobs and we know that 7 out of 10 jobs are created by small business. As a result, you can clearly realize that the tax cuts that were passed throughout the last few years benefited the middle-class.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Despite those positive results for the middle-class and the improvement of their economic situation thanks to the TCJA, Tammy Duckworth and her colleagues in the Senate voted against it.

[Crowd boos]

We understand that a strong economy requires a strong middle-class and that is exactly the reason why we worked hard to reduce their fiscal burden and made America the best place in the world to do business. And that is why, under my presidency, we’re going to pass a middle-class tax cut that will reduce the middle-class taxes from 22 % to 15 % in addition of indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle. That way, we’re going to give the middle-class as well as all Americans a fair chance to prosper, to appreciate the American Dream and to succeed. Because when the middle-class thrives, businesses will be even more able to grow and hire, and so it further will encourage job creation.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That’s why I need your vote because a strong middle-class will help our country to get to full-employment, to permanent economic prosperity and to the expansion of the American Dream and to our country’s status as the land of opportunity.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless America!

Campaigning for Guinn in Gainesville, Ocala, Alachua, High Springs, Starke, Orange Park and Palatka, Florida, the Vice-President praises Guinn’s successful business career, declaring that he is the best candidate in this special election race to protect the interests of FL-03’s taxpayers and hardworking families and to help grow the economy through lower taxes, small government and free enterprise. Rubio also praised Guinn’s leadership as Mayor of Ocala in which he worked with local businesses to cut taxes and regulations, leading to more job opportunities and higher wages, enforced laws by partnering with local police to get dangerous drugs off the city’s streets, and created innovative programs to provide training jobs and a place to live for people looking for a second chance. He touted Guinn’s record as a small government conservative, defender of the Second Amendment and protector of the life of the unborn and calls on voters of FL-03 to cast their votes for Guinn in order to keep America moving forward in the right direction. On the same occasion, Guinn thanked the Vice-President for his support and praised his accomplishments for the state of Florida, including his 2014 VA reform law, his efforts to secure funds for the restoration of the Everglades, his sponsoring of sanctions on Hezbollah, his co-sponsored Let Freedom Reign Act, his legislation effort to double the Child Tax Credit to help pass the Trump tax cuts and his contributions, as Vice-President, to help President Trump to grow the economy through lower taxes and to keep America safe by defeating ISIS and getting to the denuclearization of Iran and North Korea. He calls on the people of Florida to vote for their fellow Floridian Marco Rubio, a man of accomplishments, experience and proven leadership, in order to keep America great, to get this country to full-employment through tax reform and free enterprise and to long-term national security through secured borders, strong and modernized military and strong American leadership.

After more than 20 years of oppression, tyranny, arms race against us, murder (referring to Russian opposition activists sentenced to death and to the poisoning of Sergei Skripal in 2018) and invasion of other countries (referring to the 2008 Russian invasion of Georgia, to the invasion of Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea in 2014, to the coup d’état prepared by Russian agents in Montenegro on the day of the 2016 Montenegrin parliamentary election and to the Russian violation of Japanese sovereignty on the Kuril Islands in 2021) by Vladimir Putin, the Russian people has chosen change, change that will finally restore freedom, integrity, democracy, justice and prosperity in the Russia and drastically reinforce global peace. They did it by overwhelmingly electing Sergei Polonsky as their new President. With the election of an isolationist and pro-American President in Russia like Polonsky, stability and territorial integrity will be restored in Ukraine as well as in the rest of Eastern Europe and in the Middle East. As President of the United States, I will, in the first 100 days of my presidency, work to hold a summit with Polonsky to normalize our country’s relations. I will work with Polonsky for the maintenance of peace, including in the Middle East, in Europe and in the Pacific and we will be champions of human rights around the globe. We will ratify the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty to prohibit fissile material from being used for the building nuclear weapons. We will be strong partners for the development of decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration. And also thanks to the election of Polonsky at the presidency of Russia, Erdogan’s Turkey will be deprived of a major partner in terms of trade and military support in the context of Operation Ceasefire, which will help our local allies to defeat Turkish forces, bring Erdogan to the negotiating table and lead to the recognition of Kurdistan’s independence and sovereignty. As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as Vice-President, I have the right foreign policy experience to provide those results that will, along with our victory against ISIS and the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran, guarantee long-term global peace through strength thanks to the reinforcement and expansion of our alliances and the maintenance of American leadership, keep our country safe and make sure that our children and grandchildren will earn the opportunity to grow up in a free, safe and peaceful world.

Tammy Duckworth Holds Joint Rally with Obama in Chicago

Source

"I am reminded this year of 2008. We had a Republican administration that did lasting damage to our institutions and handed over a weakened economy. The Democrats answered this with a robust primary that included a real debate on the direction of the country. A Senator from Illinois who no one expected to become President exited the primary season victorious with a party that is energized and united.

Doesn't that sound familiar? Look, I intend to make sure we follow in the footsteps of that election by making history with a landslide win. I am asking you to support a candidate that embodies change and progress for this country. I am asking you to give my friend, our nominee and next President, Tammy Duckworth as warm a welcome as you've given me here today!"

"I've found myself in the position of wondering 'how do I follow that guy up?' quite a few times over my career. I want to thank President Obama for his endorsement and for being here today. I'm so honored to be your nominee. I'm inspired by the campaign that has been run on our side, with Senator Merkley and I sticking to a positive message of how best to lead the country and create real change in people's lives. I appreciate my friend Jeff so much, and if you supported him in this primary, just know he will be at the policy making table in my administration.

It's time for us to get focused on not only winning the White House, but also flipping Congress to Democratic control. If we do this we can finally expand the ACA, codify Roe v Wade, and get paid childcare and family leave for all Americans. We can pass a green infrastructure bill, which would get our country to universal broadband, and we can rebuild trust in our government both at home and abroad. It's time for we as a country to move past this administration and pushing toward a brighter future together."

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win among voters who selected the economy as the most important issue and appeal among middle-class voters, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad narrating the benefits of the tax cuts of the last 8 years on the middle-class as well as Rubio’s plan to cut middle-class taxes to help them to prosper keep the economy growing.

Narrator : Unlike what the Democrats keep claiming in their obsession to raise taxes, increase the size of government and make America a harder place to do business, the tax cuts policies passed in the last 8 years benefited the middle-class.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win among voters who want integrity in their next President and among veterans, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an attack ad on Tammy Duckworth’s record in VA affairs in which she covered the abuse of several veterans. The ad also narrates the Vice-President's record and plan to provide decent services for U.S. veterans in their post-military career.

Title : Unworthy

Airing : Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin

Unworthy ad narration :

Narrator : Even though we can be proud of Tammy Duckworth's military service, we can't be proud of her record in the public service. Under her watch as Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, many of our courageous military veterans were abused. A whistleblower had the courage to tell the truth and confirmed that an unchecked criminal was allowed to care for a veteran.

Christine Butler : When whistleblowers came forward, Duckworth threatened, bullied and fired them, covering up the abuse.

Own creation
Denise Goins : She said to me point-blank « Keep your mouth shut and you won’t be fired ».

Christine Butler : Director Tammy Duckworth was trying to protect disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich. She has put her personal aspirations ahead of the veterans’ care.

Denise Goins : The veterans’ care were not her top priority.

Narrator : And because of these abuses, six veterans died trying to gain admission to the Anna Veterans Home. No wonder that Tammy Duckworth has been called to court 7 years ago.

Tammy Duckworth, unworthy to lead America.

But Marco Rubio values the courage and patriotism of our soldiers. In the Senate, he cosponsored the AGREE Act, a bill that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital, gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise.

Own creation
He successfully co-sponsored the 2014 VA reform law by introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. In 2019, he co-sponsored the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act that helped veterans re-entering the workforce get jobs in STEM-related fields by requiring the Office of Science and Technology Policy to coordinate programs to train and transition military veterans for jobs in science, technology, engineering and math.

Under the leadership of President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 has been adopted after the withdrawal of our troops from Syria and Iraq in 2021, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans.

Own creation
As President, Marco Rubio will invest a part of budget surpluses in the development of new social security and job training programs for our veterans to make sure they will earn the best post-military service they can ever imagine.

Mario Rubio (Marco Rubio’s brother and Vietnam War veteran) : That is the kind of life they deserve after sacrificing so much for the sake our liberty, our security and our country. And that’s why Marco is asking for your support and your vote.

In the United Nations, Russia used its veto power to stop us and our allies from protecting our national security interests and from protecting liberty around the world.

In 2008, Russia invaded Georgia. Six years later, they also invaded Ukraine and supported a pro-Russian insurgency in Eastern Ukraine, killing thousands of Ukrainians, annexing Crimea, violating Ukraine’s territorial integrity and threatening stability and peace in Eastern Europe. In response to that, we provided military training and material to our allies in the region. In 2019, Russia hacked our country’s infrastructure. In 2021, they captured 2 Japanese Navy vessels and engaged in a territorial dispute with Japan for the control of the Kuril Islands and so President Trump reinforced our navy’s presence there to counter Russia’s aggression and to ensure Japan’s sovereignty on this archipelago as Japan is the first country between the two territorial claimants to have occupied these islands in history. We also increased sanctions against Russia, including against Russia's military-industrial complex in order to further diminish Russia's military power.

Throughout the last 20 years, Russia has engaged in an arms race against us as they added 26 MIRVed missiles that carry up to 10 missiles each, EW systems on X-101, X-102 and KH-102 cruise missiles carried by strategic bombers and deployed the Avangard hypersonic nuclear missile in 2020, thus violating the New START Treaty. Putin’s regime eliminated free press and is oppressing it’s the Russian people, put civilians in jail, or worse, sentenced them to death for protesting and speaking out against Putin, including in the last 2 years in the context of civilian protests in Russia mobilized by increasing inflation there and injustices caused by Putin’s tyranny and insanity.

But a new age has begun, an age of freedom, justice and integrity over oppression, threat and escalation. Isolationist Sergei Polonsky massively won the recent Russian presidential election, which put an end to tyranny and fear. Polonsky's election to the presidency of Russia means strong global peace, imminent liberation of Eastern Europe. That is why Marco Rubio will hold a summit to normalize our relations with Moscow in the first 100 days of his presidency.

He and Polonsky will work to dismantle dangerous Russian nuclear weapons that are representing a threat to global peace, we will work to ratify of the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty in order to prohibit the use of fissile material for the purpose of building nuclear weapons. They will be strong partners for the maintenance of peace, including in the Middle East, in Europe and in the Pacific and we will work together to ensure the respect of human rights around the world. And thanks to such a change in Russia's leadership, Erdogan's Turkey will be deprived of a major partner in terms of trade and military support in the context of Operation Ceasefire, thus helping our local allies to defeat Turkish forces and leading to the recognition of Kurdistan’s independence, freedom and sovereignty. With Marco Rubio as President of the United States and Polonsky as President of Russia, our 2 countries will be strong partners for the development of decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration.

In a time in which Donald Trump and Marco Rubio led our country to victory against ISIS and got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran thanks to strong American leadership, we are living times of great opportunity for long term global peace. We can't afford to miss this opportunity and that's why Marco Rubio needs your vote. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, he has the best foreign policy experience to keep America safe, to work with our allies and expand our alliances, to normalize our relations with Russia and to efficiently fight to expand and maintain peace through strength around the world and thanks to those skills, we will guarantee that our children and grandchildren will grow up in a world in which they will know peace, security, stability, freedom and prosperity.
