Source : https://borgenproject.org/tag/global-poverty-reduction/
Once again, the Democrats are displaying their hatred of President Donald Trump, even in a time of prosperity, economic growth, decent social services for our veterans and strong national security and global peace. All they got is mudslinging. They have a too simplistic vision of things : just because of Polonsky’s political leaning, they believe that he is a puppet of President Trump. There was no thought of interfering into the Russian presidential election and there is absolutely no evidence that President Trump interfered nor has the intention to interfere into this Russian presidential election just like there was no evidence that Vladimir Putin interfered in the 2016 election in favor of Donald Trump.

Through their radical attitude, the Democrats, including Jeff Merkley and Tammy Duckworth, have shown that they are not interested in peace nor in better relations with Russia. They are more worried about impeaching our Commander-in-Chief than about an adversary's use of power against us. Because Sergei Polonski’s pro-Russia isolationist positions mean that his election at the presidency of Russia will represent great news for global peace as it would end Russian invasion of Eastern Europe and strengthen stability in the Middle East and would also put an end to nuclear escalations between the United States and Russia after more than 75 years of arms races between our 2 countries. That would mean a restoration of freedom in Russia after 20 years of Putin’s tyranny and better trade relations between our 2 countries. We all know that if a Putin-like candidate is elected as President of Russia that would mean 6 more years of tyranny and geopolitical threat by Moscow. Yet, the Democrats called Polonsky a puppet of President Trump. I think it is offensive. That is not the way to win allies and friends and they are never going to have better relations with Moscow and promote global peace and stability with that kind of attitude.

My friends, we need to work together, Republicans, Democrats and Independents, to pursue strong American leadership in the world for the sake of global peace and keep America safe and make sure, in the case of Polonsky’s election as President of Russia, that we’re finally going to put an end to decades of diplomatic tensions between our 2 countries for the sake of global peace, freedom and democracy. That’s why as President, I will work with Polonsky to normalize our relations and that will be done in the first 100 days of my presidency. We’re going to work to dismantle dangerous Russian nuclear weapons that are representing a threat to global peace, we will work to ratify of the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty in order to prohibit the use of fissile material for the purpose of building nuclear weapons, we will be partners for the maintenance of peace, including in the Middle East, in Europe and in the Pacific and we will work together to ensure the respect of human rights around the world. And thanks to such a change in Russia's leadership, Erdogan's Turkey will be deprived of a major partner in terms of trade and military support. Polonsky and I will be strong partners for the development of decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration. That is the way to guarantee long-term global peace and stability, which are keys to the defense and expansion of freedom and justice and thanks to my foreign policy experience, we’re going to get there.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

-Speech in West Palm Beach, Florida in response to the Greeks taking and annexing Istanbul :

Source : https://www.aaiusa.org/rubio_2016
Recently, our allies made strong progress against Turkish forces in Operation Ceasefire thanks to the our sanctions against Turkey and to the military material as well as the military training that we provided to the Kurds. The Greek forces captured Istanbul, a very strategic position. They have continued to push deeper into Turkey and are now within two weeks striking distance of Ankara. And southern coalition forces have merged and now continue their war on a stable front, slowly pushing the Turkish forces back. According to experts, the Operation will be completed by mid March if not earlier and at that moment, when our allies will get to Ankara and accomplish their final victory against Turkey, we will finally get Erdogan to the negotiating table and lead Ankara to recognize Kurdistan's independence, which will stabilize the Middle East and restore peace there. However, the Greeks declared the exile of all islamic/non-greek citizens in Istanbul before annexing it and renaming it Constantinople. That is pure ethnic cleansing and that is not acceptable. We won't tolerate it. Under my presidency, we're going to work with our allies to ratify an international treaty recognizing ethnic cleansing as a specific crime because we the United States of America are unapologetic and determined defenders of the freedom of all peoples on Earth, including Muslims and non-Greek people and we defenders of freedom of religion, which is a major element of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. As long as we stand on our principles and stand up for freedom, we lead, we succeed, we win.

-Agriculture policy speech in Lakeland, Florida where Vice-President Rubio touts his record and leadership on protecting the interests of Florida’s citrus industry against South Korea’s tariffs in an effort to attract voters concerned about economy as well as Florida’s farmers and citrus producers :

Source(s) : https://www.elmundo.es/america/2011/09/29/estados_unidos/1317332352.html; https://www.growingproduce.com/citrus/insect-disease-update/marco-rubio-backs-bill-to-save-florida-citrus/
As you know, the citrus industry represent a major part of Florida's economy and Florida produces the majority of citrus fruit grown in the United States. And I have a large and distinguished record in supporting Florida's citrus producers and keeping them competitive. In early 2014, South Korea had levied a 54 percent tariff on orange products, which was harming Florida orange juice producers. In response to that crisis, I visited South Korea where I pressed officials there on this harmful tariff. Upon returning home, Rubio helped fast-track a solution by urging South Korean Ambassador Ahn Ho-young and his colleagues to tour Florida facilities and resolve their concerns, which they did a month later. As a result, this dispute between the United States and South Korea over frozen orange juice concentrate was resolved and thanks to this free trade agreement Florida natural juice sales reportedly have gone from $4 million to $40 million in three years and the sale of fresh grapefruit went from $1 million to nearly $5 million over the same period. I also supported Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam's petition to the EPA to grant an emergency exception to use up to 3 antimicrobials on diseased citrus plants in the fight against greening. In 2016, when 80 % of the citrus trees have been infected by greening, I cosponsored the Emergency Citrus Disease Response Act that allowed growers to immediately expense the cost of planting new citrus trees instead of the standard 14-year depreciation process and I urged Senate leaders to make citrus greening a priority and to help growers affected by this crisis.

And as President, I will continue to fight for you, including for America's citrus producers by making America the best place in the world to do business, by keeping your taxes low and by championing free trade in order to increase our citrus industry as well as the U.S. economy in general competitive in the world economy, thus increasing international consumers' access to American citrus products. If I win, we all win.

Thank you. God bless Florida and God bless America.

-Speech in Charleston, South Carolina in response to the deaths of Stephen Breyer and John Thune :

Source : https://www.cnn.com/2016/02/21/politics/marco-rubio-south-carolina-finish-strategy/index.html
Yesterday was a funereal day with the deaths of Justice Stephen Breyer and Senator John Thune. I send my condolences to their families and may they rest in peace.

Whoever the SCOTUS nominee that President Trump will nominate to succeed Breyer, that will be a nominee who will respect the Constitution and interpret it the way the Constitution is written for the sake of America’s freedom, for the sake of the Second Amendment, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press and for the sake of the life of the unborn.

And Senator Thune has been cowardly assassinated by a Boko Haram terrorist. He was one of the greatest public servers I’ve ever known. He spent his political career protecting the interests of South Dakota’s farmers and taxpayers and took a leading role in formulating energy policy by pushing for the final passage of a comprehensive energy bill. And as Senate Majority Leader, he orchestrated strong and effective leadership, promoting tax reform policies that ensured the economic prosperity that America is now living as well as free market health care solutions, the defense of our constitutional rights and a strong foreign policy that kept America safe through a strong military and a strong diplomacy. This radical Islamic terrorist attack has made it clear that the terrorist threat is still a clear and present danger. The assassination of an elected official means an attack against the entire American democracy. We will not surrender to terrorism. We need to stand up for our freedom and security and that’s why we’re going to stand up with our allies in West Africa by providing them military aid via weapons, funds and training in order to help them defeat Boko Haram, and thus terrorism will be defeated and America’s security and freedom will remain steady, ensuring long-term and solid global peace.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

-Campaign for Nancy Mace in Charleston, South Carolina ahead of the special election in SC-01 :

Source : https://www.wfxg.com/story/30925432/marco-rubio-looks-to-gain-new-south-carolina-supporters-at-aiken-rally/
In this context in which the Democrats decided to pursue their manic obsession to impeach President Trump, it is more than important for us to mobilize and to maintain the House of Representatives and the Senate under Republican hands. And that’s why it is important to see the fundamental differences between both parties’ candidates running here in SC-01.

In 2019, Joe Cunningham, along with his fellow House Democrats, has already voted in favor of impeaching President Trump. And make no mistake if he is sent back to the House of Representatives he will vote the same way again on the impeachment inquiry. South Carolina, we can’t afford that risk, we can’t afford to add a voice standing in the way of the success America has made in the last 8 years, standing in the way of more jobs, higher wages, gun rights and strong national security. No wonder that Congressman Cunningham voted for higher energy regulations, voted to pass a bill that requires background check for every firearm sale and voted in favor of passing a bill that requires stronger background check procedures.

Meanwhile, we are lucky to have a fighter in Nancy Mace. She knows how to create jobs and make America a business-friendly environment as she worked as a businesswoman as she started a small consulting business named The Mace Group that provides public relations, marketing and web services to clients in a variety of industries. Nancy also served as Vice Chair of The Citadel School of Business Advisory Board. Through her experience, you can trust her to keep your taxes low, pass legislation getting us to energy independence and make America the best place in the world to do business. Born from a military family and as Vice Chair on the National Board of Directors for the Medal of Honor Bowl, she knows what it takes to keep America safe through a strong military and how to provide decent social services to our veterans. That’s why she voted in favor of establishing the State Department of Veterans Affairs. She is a defender of unborn lives as she voted to prohibit abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected.

My friends, on March 5, we need you to go to the polls to maintain our House majority to pursue the progress of the last 8 years by electing Nancy Mace as your next Congresswoman.

Thank you. God bless South Carolina and God bless America.

In order to make our healthcare system better still, we need to allow small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs). HRAs typically cost less for employers than group plans and as a result, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem could result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them. This plan will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs. Over the last decade, because of Obamacare, employment at businesses with fewer than 50 employees has fallen 25 percent. After the Obama administration’s misguided policies stopped workers from using HRAs to purchase coverage, millions of Americans will once again be able to use employer-funded HRAs to pay for health insurance and out-of-pocket expenses. And that will be done through helping 800,000 small companies in the U.S. build their workforce by offering affordable health care options.

In the last 8 years, our administration has accomplished a lot in restoring America’s prosperity and in keeping America safe and expanding international peace.

When I moved to Wichita, Kansas along with three other West Point friends, we acquired three aircraft-part manufacturers there (Aero Machine, Precision Profiling, B&B Machine) and in St. Louis (Advance Tool & Die), renaming the entity Thayer Aerospace, manufacturing planes and other aerial engines, thus encouraging economic and commercial activities across this country and also contributing to strong national defense. And under my watch as Secretary of State, we successfully renegotiated NAFTA and ratified USMCA that boosted auto manufacturing by requiring 75% of a vehicle's parts to be made in one of the three signatory countries in order to remain free from tariffs when moving between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, by strengthening labor laws, by keeping tariffs at zero while further opening up the Canadian market to US dairy, poultry and eggs and allowing more Canadian dairy, peanuts and peanut products to cross the border. As a result, we added 76 000 auto jobs in the last 5 years, increased exports and imports and reinforced our competitiveness in the world economy, contributing in the strong economic prosperity America is now living in which we created over 6 million new jobs, including 500 000 in the manufacturing sector, and brought our unemployment rate in the lowest rate in more than 50 years. And Marco Rubio knows how to pursue economic growth and get our country to full-employment and we’ll get there thanks to his experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. As President, he will cut taxes for all Americans and all businesses across this country in order to make it the best business-friendly environment in the world, get us to energy independence by encouraging the exploitation of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, solar, wind and hydroelectric energies, promote free trade while reducing our corporate tax rate to 15 % and lowering taxes for companies, including manufacturing businesses, to strengthen America’s status as the most competitive nation in the world economy and make infrastructure development one of his top economic priorities.

I proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Under my watch as Director of the CIA, we made strong progress against radical Islamic terrorism through the accomplishment of intelligence operations. Shortly after that, I accepted to be President Trump’s Secretary of State and under my tenure, under Donald Trump’s watch as President and under Marco Rubio’s watch as Vice-President, we defeated ISIS in Syria and Iraq thanks to a strong and modernized military and strong alliances, got the world to the denuclearization and democratization of North Korea and Iran and a normalization of our relations with these 2 countries and stood up to Vladimir Putin’s Russia’s agression and China is about to hold a referendum on whether to transit towards democracy and it will be overseen by United Nations Elections Officials to make sure there is no evidence of voter fraud, which will bring further stability and peace in the Pacific. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, Marco Rubio has the best foreign policy experience to keep us safe and get the world to long-term and permanent global peace. He passed tough sanctions on the Hezbollah for the sake of our national security, fought the Obama administration to pass sanctions on Venezuelan human rights violators and passed the Girls Count Act to combat human trafficking. He introduced the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the battle against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis. He co-sponsored the Let Freedom Reign Act that provided military training and arms sales for the Venezuelan insurgency during the Venezuelan Civil War and helped the people of Venezuela to transfer towards democracy, liberty and integrity. Two and a half years ago, he became the first Vice-President in office to visit Iran since the Iranian Revolution and it was in the aftermath of that visit that Arsham Parsi announced that Iran going to proceed towards their denuclearization, to stop sponsoring global terrorism.

And already throughout this campaign, he took strong leadership positions : when asked what he would do to handle Operation Ceasefire in Turkey if he were President right now, he said he would call for an embargo on Turkish oil to further weaken  the Turkish economy as well as their military power as every modern military mostly function through oil, thus increasing our Middle Eastern and European allies’ chances to defeat Turkish troops in Operation Ceasefire and getting Erdogan to the negotiating table and ensuring the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent and sovereign state. When Greece declared the exile of all islamic/non-greek citizens in Istanbul after annexing it, Vice-President Rubio said that in order to combat ethnic cleansing he will work with our allies to ratify an international treaty recognizing ethnic cleansing as a specific crime. And in order to accomplish our transition to a world permanently safe from nuclear war, he declared that he will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile materials to build nuclear weapons. Those are positions showing that he’s ready to lead. That is the kind of strong leadership that we need in a Commander-in-Chief and I’m proud to have served with Marco in the Trump Administration to keep America great, prosperous, safe and free.

As President, Marco will keep our military and our diplomacy strong in order to keep America safe against any threat and to ensure the preservation of peace through strength and through the promotion of American leadership. By providing our Western African allies in military training and in materials, he will help them to defeat Boko Haram. In the case of Sergei Polonsky’s election at the presidency of Russia, he will, in his first 100 days in the White House, hold a summit with Russia in order to normalize our relations with Moscow and work together for the respect and maintenance of freedom, human rights and stability in the Middle East and in Eastern Europe. He will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to get the world to permanent nuclear security and to strengthen global peace.

Marco Rubio knows how to lead and I know that thanks to his experience and leadership, we will get the world to long-term global peace and security so our children and grandchildren can grow up in a world in which they will know peace, security, stability, freedom and prosperity. And that’s why I’m proud to endorse Marco Rubio for President.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.

Marco Rubio’s surrogate schedule

Rubio’s wife Second First Lady Jeanette Rubio campaigns for her husband in Delaware, touting his record, experience and qualifications to lead this country as well as his plan to combat the opioid crisis and his economic to promote opportunity for all Americans.

Rubio’s older son Anthony Rubio campaigns for his father for all the week in the state of New York on issues like economy, infrastructure, education and national security.

South Carolina Governor Eric Bolling campaigns in SC on economy, veterans, national security, border security, abortion, gun rights and SCOTUS. He describes the Vice President as the candidate the most loyal to President Trump and blasts Ivan Rodriguez on his opposition to Trump’s border wall.

Nikki Haley campaigns for Rubio in SC all across the state of South Carolina on economy, free enterprise, tax reform, foreign policy, veterans, social security, SCOTUS, gun rights, abortion and freedom of religion. She described Rubio as a great and strong leader on all these issues based on his record. In an effort to make sure that Jeff Merkley, the weaker Democratic candidate in the general election, will win the South Carolina Democratic primary over Tammy Duckworth, Haley attacked Duckworth’s record as Illinois Director of Veteran Affairs in which several military veterans were abused while Duckworth covered an unchecked criminal to take care of veterans and threatened to fire whistleblowers if they didn’t « keep their mouth shut ». Haley takes on the occasion to call on veterans across this country, including here in South Carolina to give their support for Marco Rubio as he has a much better record on protecting veterans and handling this issue, especially his 2014 VA reform law and his plan to use a part of budget surpluses in the development of social services and job training programs for veterans.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo campaigns for Rubio in Florida, Delaware, New York, California, Virginia, Kansas, praising the Trump Administration’s foreign policy accomplishments and Rubio’s foreign policy experience and his plan to keep America safe through strong American leadership, strong and modernized military and strong alliances for the sake of global peace. Pompeo also spent the week holding fundraising events for Rubio’s presidential campaign.

Jeanette Nunez campaigns for Rubio all across the state of Florida on economy, small government, tax reform, energy independence, water infrastructure, space exploration, immigration and national security.

Marco Rubio's post-South Carolina primary speech

Thank you, South Carolina!

Of course, these are not the results we would have liked to have but the race is not over.

Those results show that Americans want a more civilized campaign and that's what we're going to give in the next few days, weeks and months. We're going to moderate the tone in this campaign by staying focused on issues, policy and solutions. But believe me, if any of the other campaigns ever attack us, I will fight back. Some people reproached us for getting everything for granted as if we already had the nomination. Let me be very clear : we are not taking anything for granted and that's why we are fighting for every single vote because every single vote counts in order to decide the next President. That's why we're going to Delaware in order to tell people why our agenda is the best one for America's future and to spread my message of opportunity through small government, lower taxes, free enterprise, strong infrastructure, fair health care, defense of our constitutional rights and strong national defense and national security. We're going to win there and build up strong momentum for Super Tuesday and thus lead us to victory in this primary race and in the general election for the sake of the continuation of America's greatness, strength and progress.

Thank you. God bless you. God bless South Carolina and God bless America.

Marco Rubio's campaign schedule, Part 1

(Own creation)

February 25, 2024
-Campaign in Wilmington, Delaware
-Economic policy speech in Wilmington, Delaware :

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 have been proven to be successful in growing the economy and I am proud to have supported the tax cuts. And I’m also proud to have led the effort to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000 in order to make the tax cuts permanent and even broader and to strengthen American hard working families’ purchasing power. It was also an important part of my platform that I promised to achieve when I ran in 2016, and just a year later that’s exactly what we did. It also shows how much I know how to get things done. Thanks to these tax reform policies, we strengthened America’s status as the best place in the world to do business, encouraged economic growth, created over 7 million new jobs in the last 8 years, brought a record low unemployment rate in more than 50 years. Those constructive policies brought the Hispanic unemployment rate and the African-American unemployment rate at their lowest rates ever. As a result, Hispanics and African-Americans are also benefiting from the Trump tax cuts and from the economic prosperity that it delivered. And I’m proud to have, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, fought to defend the interests of American small businesses, to keep taxes low and to create the conditions favorable to free enterprise, economic growth, job creation and prosperity. As a result, the economy is booming, including here in Delaware where the unemployment rate went from 4.6 % in January 2017 to 3 % today thanks to the promotion of free enterprise, small government and tax reform.

The Democrats want you to believe that we have deficit and debt because of tax cuts. They are wrong. The right solution to reduce the deficit is to encourage economic growth and job creation and thus that requires lowering taxes because there's nothing better for getting us to a balanced budget than having more people working, earning more money, paying more taxes. So my friends, the reason we have deficit and debt is not because we cut taxes in order to spur the economy. The reason we have deficit and debt is because Congress keeps spending and that’s why we need to stop out-of-control spending, we need term limits in Congress, we need to pass a balanced budget amendment, veto bridge-to-nowhere projects, veto earmarks and encourage fiscal discipline and responsibility in order to reduce government spending and balance the budget. That’s exactly what I’m going to do as President of the United States in order to bring spending under control, to bring our deficit and our debt under control and reduce them and get us to a balanced budget. That way, we will guarantee prosperity and opportunity for all Americans through a balanced budget and tax reform and that’s how we’re going to get this country to full-employment and we’re going to make sure that America’s status as the strongest economy in the world will remain uncontested. I have the right knowledge, record and agenda to do so and that’s why I ask for your vote.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

As you know, agriculture is one of the main economic sectors in Delaware. Delaware’s agricultural output consists of poultry, nursery, stock, soybeans, dairy products and beans. My friends, in the last 8 years, we made strong progress in getting our economy, including our agricultural industry, rolling again. In 2019, in the context of the U.S.-China Trade War, our President went on to cut a deal with and Beijing, during a joint summit, on that issue as both nations agreed to lift tariffs with China halting to steal IPs and the United States stopping to use Chinese citizens for cheap labor abroad, thus ending the trade war, which helped farmers across this country, including here in Delaware, to recover and to further reinforce their competition.

Under my presidency, we’re going to do even more on this issue to make sure our farmers will earn a chance to rise and prosper. In that process, I will reduce taxes and regulations for businesses across this nation, including for agricultural businesses, to help them to innovate and to manufacture more tractors and seeds and other farm products, which will boost job creation, improve agricultural technologies, ensure America's subsistence, reduce the food prices through the reduction of inflation and reduce Americans' dependence on food stamps, which will reinforce their purchasing power and give them more access to food. We will approve agricultural subsidies in order to help agricultural communities to recover from the trade war and to strengthen farm businesses’ ability to compete and produce. I will also champion free trade, which will lower tariffs and increase exports and imports and increase access to our products, including farm and agricultural products, for 95 % of the world market (as we represent 5 % of the world market). And finally, our plan will cut ag property taxes in order to grant farmers the opportunity to earn the property of farm lands and to pursue their activities for the sake of their food needs and their quest for the American Dream. Our farm industry is a major pillar of our economy and as long as our agricultural industry is strong, America’s economy is strong. As long as America is the best business-friendly country in the world, this nation will be the best place for farmers to pursue their agricultural activities and will be the best place for everyday Americans to fill their food needs.

-Space policy speech at the Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware where Vice-President Rubio unveils further details about his space policy agenda. He declared that along with the exploration of Titan and Mars, he will also prioritize Artemis Program’s Lunar Gateway, a project of space station that is planned to be crewed (4 astronauts) and to operate in lunar orbit before establishing a manned base on the Moon’s surface in 2028 to offer a staging post and a springboard for missions to the Moon and Mars, which will make America’s objective to launch a manned space mission to Mars by 2030 possible. As the funds for that program have not yet been approved by the Congress, Rubio promises to make it happen rapidly by favoring public-private partnerships to fund that project, thus making sure that the establishment of the proposed lunar base will be accomplished by the end of Rubio’s first term as President and that the United States will be the first country to send a crewed mission to Mars and to further relaunch America’s space program. The Rubio campaign reiterated that plan in TV ads broadcasted in Delaware, California, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, Florida and Ohio.

The assassination of Senator John Thune is a terrible tragedy. The FBI’s investigation provided the following report about the murderer’s background : the Boko Haram terrorist who killed Senator Thune last week has been a secret agent planted within the U.S. territory in late 2007 with the mission of targeting a major US political figure if given the chance. And it was reported a few years later that he was on the US list for Department but he never was and his document was lost.

This attack that occurred last week and contributed to Senator Thune’s death demonstrates that radical Islamic terrorism is still a threat to America, to our security, to our freedom and to our citizens. That’s why, in order to make sure that the United States doesn’t again get attacked by Boko Haram or any other terrorist group or criminal organization, we need strong and secured borders, not open borders. And that means building a wall, which we have done, and also technology and infrastructure as well as boots on the ground, background checks on refugees coming to this country and establishing a E-Verify system. And I’m the only one of the presidential candidates in this election cycle, Republican or Democrat, who supported this President on this agenda. Keeping America safe against terrorism also requires keeping our military strong and modernizing it and standing with our allies. And that’s why, under a Rubio Administration, we will provide our Western African allies in military training and in materials, which will help them to defeat Boko Haram. We also need to target Boko Haram-controlled oil refineries through drone airstrikes in order to deprive them of revenues from their oil drilling activities to fund their war effort as well as their plans of terrorist attacks. That way, we will destroy our enemies without needing to send additional troops there, keep America safe and strong and guarantee a strong and stabilized long-term global peace through strength thanks to the preservation of American leadership. I have all the necessary foreign policy expertise and background to get us there and America needs that kind of qualification in order to get all of this done and for this I need your vote and your support to get our country to victory and peace.

Thank you. God bless you all and God bless the United States of America.

Marco Rubio's campaign schedule, Part 2

(Own creation)

February 28, 2024
-Campaign in New York City, NY with Rudy Giuliani
-Rally with voters at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY for a speech given by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani :

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Rudy_Giuliani.jpg
Thank you, New York for welcoming my friend, a great American and the next President of the United States of America, Marco Antonio Rubio!

I know that he is the best qualified and the most experienced presidential candidate to serve as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief and to keep America prosperous and safe and that he has the best agenda for America’s future. I’m a living proof of that matter of fact.

As Mayor of New York City, I turned that great and wonderful city from the crime capital of America to the safest large city in America. What I did for New York City, Marco Rubio will do for America!

Here is how we managed to drastically reduce crime rate and ensured strong security here during my time as Mayor of New York City : I directed the New York City Police Department to aggressively pursue enterprises linked to organized crime, such as the Fulton Fish Market and the Javits Center on the West Side (Gambino crime family). By breaking mob control of solid waste removal, the city was able to save businesses over $600 million. One of the 2 major factors to this overall decline in crime in my city is because my municipal administration approved federal funding of an additional 7,000 police officers. As a result, the crime rate in New York City fell even more in the 1990s and 2000s than nationwide and therefore credit is given to a local dynamic: highly focused policing. In this view, as much as half of the reduction in crime in New York in the 1990s, and almost all in the 2000s, is due to policing. And during this time, murders inside the home, which could not be prevented by more police officers, decreased at the same rate as murders outside the home.

Donald Trump and Marco Rubio brought that kind of leadership by securing our borders through the completion of President Trump’s border wall, the deployment of additional police officers and soldiers to the US-Mexico border, the approval of body armors for sheriffs and highly focused policing around the country. As President, Marco Rubio will pursue that progress by keeping our borders secured, cracking down on opioid traffickers to combat the Opioid Crisis and by encouraging highly focused policing.

The second major factor of this impressive strengthening of security and to the remarkable decline of crime rate in New York City under my tenure as Mayor there is an improvement of the national economy, including right here in New York. We have made that possible because we promoted opportunity. We made that possible because during my 7 years as Mayor, I cut taxes 23 times, and thus we encouraged job creation by making New York City a place open for business, cutting our unemployment rate by half (from 10 % in 1993 to 5 % in 2001) and brought in 450,000 new jobs. When I became Mayor, I inherited a $2.3 billion deficit from my predecessor, David Dinkins. During my first term, we cut taxes, cut spending, and reduced the municipal payroll, thereby closing the budget gap. By my second term, the upward swing of the mid-late 1990s dot-com bubble, which especially benefited New York's financial sector, resulted in greatly increased tax revenues for the city; soon there was a budget surplus of $3 billion.

Marco knows how to keep this economy growing because he made such contributions throughout his career : he cosponsored the AGREE Act, a bill that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital, gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise. He introduced the co-sponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses, thus avoiding devastating regulations that would have meant a disaster for our economy through free enterprise's decline and job losses. In 2017, he led the effort to make the Trump tax cuts permanent and even broader by increasing the Child Tax Credit from $1000-$2000. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Marco Rubio took strong leadership in protecting the interests of American businesses seeking competition here and abroad by passing legislation that lowered taxes for small businesses, defended the interests of American companies here and abroad, ensuring economic growth and development around this country and made America's prosperity possible and strong. And thanks to the free enterprise, tax-cut and low taxes policies promoted by President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, we created 7 million new jobs in the last 8 years, brought our national unemployment rate at its  lowest in more than 50 years. As President, Marco Rubio will pursue those tax reform policies, reduce taxes for all Americans, including the middle class, reduce wasteful government spending and promote fiscal discipline, balance the budget in the next 4 years, reduce our corporate tax rate to 15 %, get us to energy independence by taking advantage of America's sources of energy (including oil, gas, coal, solar, wind, hydroelectric energies), promote free trade with our allies for the sake of America's competitiveness in the world economy and he will remove barriers to public-private partnerships to fund infrastructure projects and will also ensure further infrastructure development through a part of future budget surpluses thus encouraging economic activities and the implantation of new businesses here in this country. That’s how we will bring America to full-employment, to a balanced budget, to the preservation of America’s status as the best country in the world to do business and to permanent economic prosperity, which will also reinforce security all across the United States and further reduce crime rate through such promotion of opportunity.

And under my tenure as Mayor of New York City, this wonderful city suffered one of the most terrible tragedies in history : on September 11th 2001, Al Qaeda committed the deadliest attack on our country when 2 planes controlled by radical Islamic terrorists hit the World Trade Center, killing 3000 people. In the aftermath of 9/11, I ordered authorities to close tunnels as a precautionary measure and as we organized the support of state and federal authorities for the World Trade Center site, for citywide anti-terrorist measures, and for restoration of destroyed infrastructure. Since then, we rebuilt the World Trade Center on the same site, which so many, including me, consider as a victory of life over death. Since then, strong progress has been made to combat terrorism as we declared war on terror and used military force against radical Islamic terrorism, we defeated Al Qaeda and ISIS in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, etc. and we eliminated Osama Bin Laden and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. A year-and-a-half ago, Boko Haram orchestrated a terrorist attack against our people in San Francisco through a suicide car bomb attack on a tramway and a shooting, killing 42 people and wounding 76 before being shot by local police officers. And more recently, Senate Majority Leader John Thune has been assassinated by a Boko Haram djihadist who infiltrated this country 17 years ago as a sleeper agent with the mission of targeting a major US political figure. That’s why we and our allies took military action against Boko Haram in West Africa where we are leading airstrikes against them and training regional armed forces to help them defeat this threat. And what strikes me as beyond the pale is that even shortly after Senator Thune’s assassination, the Democrats, including Tammy Duckworth and Jeff Merkley, did not address that issue, not even once. They did not put forward any plan to defeat the terrorist threat and in their fear to be politically incorrect, they are still afraid to use the words « radical Islamic terrorism » to define our enemy. With Marco Rubio as President, we will not surrender to terrorism and he will keep us on offense against Boko Haram. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, he knows what it takes to defeat terrorism and keep America safe. He will do so by keeping our military strong and modernizing it and standing with our allies. He will provide our Western African allies in military training and in materials to prepare them to face Boko Haram. And he will also promote drone airstrikes on key Boko Haram targets in order to combat them without needing to send additional troops there. And finally, he will take on Boko Haram’s oil refineries to deprive them of any means to fund their war effort through the exploitation of those refineries. That way, we will finally win the War on Terror and ensure that the United States of America will not get attacked again by djihadists, which is key to strong global peace and security. That’s why Marco Rubio deserves our support and our trust because he has the best knowledge and agenda to get us to peace through strength.

As you may have noticed, every Republican presidential candidate that I endorsed in the last 20 plus years has went on to win the New York Republican primary and to become the eventual Republican presidential nominee (Giuliani endorsed George W. Bush in 2000, John McCain in 2008, Mitt Romney in 2012 and Donald Trump in 2016). New York, you can once again make the difference in this race and decide of the outcome of this Republican presidential primary race. So New York, I call on you to go to the polls at the highest number possible in order to make Marco Rubio the next President of the United States of America because I know that he will be a great and exceptional President and that he will preserve and strengthen America’s promise and status as a shining city on the hill and a beacon of freedom that inspires and will keep inspiring the world.

Thank you all! God bless New York, God bless the United States of America!

https://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/

Our argument is a strong one : we are supporters of American free enterprise system which makes it easier for people to prosper and to live the American Dream. We have to make the connection with limited government and free enterprise. My parents worked every single day to work to give me and my siblings opportunities that they didn't have. There's only one economic system in the world that that's possible in time and again and that's the American free enterprise system. Through my leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I understand that free enterprise and tax reform are the right solutions for the economic concerns of all Americans, including Hispanics.

I'm proud to be the first Hispanic Vice-President in US history. My record, background and agenda are the main factors why I represent our party's best chance to appeal among Hispanic voters. In my 2 senate runs, I managed to win around 50 % of the Hispanic vote in Florida. My vice-presidential nomination in 2020 helped President Trump and our party to drastically improve his performance among Hispanic voters, raising it from 29 % in 2016 to 37 % in 2020. That's why we're going to win crucial states like Florida, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico and keep states like Texas and Arizona bright, bright red if I'm the Republican nominee. And that will be a great honor for me to serve as America's first Hispanic President to show that this country is a land where everything is possible for all Americans.

Gracias, que Dios los bendiga y que Dios bendiga a Estados Unidos de America.

Thank you. I’m glad to be back here at the Reagan Library. I’m proud to be a child of the Reagan Revolution and to have grown up in this area. One of the things that made Ronald Reagan a great President is that he believed in America and inspired that country to believe in itself and in its greatness again in a time of crisis and afterwards. He did cutting taxes and the size of government, which drastically reduced inflation and our unemployment rate, created 16 million jobs and strengthened our GDP. He also did that by rebuilding our military, which preserved America’s status as the strongest military in the world, kept America safe and free and led us to victory against the Soviet Union in the Cold War, which was a massive victory on communism and tyranny. President Trump and I followed those principles by cutting taxes and spending, which gave us the lowest unemployment rate in 5 decades, and by strengthening and modernizing our military and restoring American leadership, which helped us to defeat ISIS in the Middle East and to get North Korea and Iran denuclearized. And I’m running for President to pursue America’s progress by continuing that legacy of sticking to principles and to what we believe in no matter what and standing up for prosperity through free enterprise and small government as well as peace through strength like President Reagan and President Trump did for the sake of the permanent preservation of America’s freedom, values, security and greatness.

This year, America made strong progress in space exploration. In the last 8 years, our Administration has made the relaunch of our space exploration program one of its top priorities. As a result, through Artemis 2, we sent, 2 months ago, a crewed mission to the Moon for the first time in 50 years and those men and women walked on the Moon and explored it and were safely brought back to the Earth, making this mission a success and reviving our space exploration program.

Right now, our next objective is Mars, which is why the NASA is planning to put in place a base on the Moon in the next 4 years to use it as a staging post for missions to the Moon and Mars. So as President of the United States, I will make Lunar Gateway my top priority in terms of space exploration. We'll do it by preventing wasteful earmarks from diverting precious resources from critical scientific and aeronautics research. We will commit to funding the Artemis program to ensure it has the resources it needs for human space exploration. We will also encourage public-private partnerships to fund that project, thus making sure that the establishment of a manned base on the Moon’s surface will be accomplished by the end of my first term, which will give us a springboard to a crewed mission to Mars and guarantee that the accomplishment of our objective to send astronauts to Mars by 2030 will be fulfilled and that the United States will be the first country to do so, which, as Neil Armstrong would say, will be one small step for a man or a woman, but one giant leap for mankind.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

President Trump has declared that he will announce his pick to replace Stephen Breyer at the SCOTUS, which will add another conservative voice in favor of the defense of the American people’s constitutional rights and freedom. The Democrats made it clear that they will try their best to block any SCOTUS nomination that President Trump will put forward. While Senator Merkley talks about at which point Merrick Garland was in some way qualified for SCOTUS, I wonder why Merkley’s harsh supporter Bernie Sanders has said during his 2016 campaign that he would withdraw Garland as SCOTUS nominee.

But the fact is that we have the necessary votes in the Senate to approve any potential SCOTUS nominee that President Trump will appoint. We have a 53-47 Republican majority in the Senate and I’m sure that we can convince Senators Scott and Romney to shift their voting intentions on Trump’s SCOTUS nominee because the stakes are too high to let the Democrats standing in the way of freedom. The stakes are too high to let the Democrats impose to America a liberal SCOTUS that will write the Second Amendment out of the Bill of Rights, tolerate abortion and award Guantanamo terrorists with constitutional rights. After all, in 2018, Rand Paul has first made it clear that he would not support Mike Pompeo’s nomination as Secretary of State but then he shifted his vote and supported it. And even if the Senate vote comes to a 50-50 deadlock on the SCOTUS nominee, as Vice-President I’m the President of the Senate and so I will cast the 51st vote needed to break the tie and approve whoever President Trump nominates for SCOTUS for the sake of the defense of your constitutional rights, of the protection of unborn lives, of the preservation of freedom of religion, etc. And when I’m President, I will pursue this fight to protect those inviolable rights because all the freedoms and opportunities that the Constitution offers is what America’s future is all about.

Recently, Operation Ceasefire has ground to a halt as Turkish Forces have created a number of defenses to slow down Coalition forces. In addition, it is reported that Russian and Chinese troops and weaponry are being deployed in Turkey to support Erdogan’s troops. Now, both sides are stick at trench warfare.

Here’s what needs to be done and also what I would do as President in order to ensure the Coalition’s victory over Turkish troops : number one, imposing an embargo on Turkish oil to weaken their economy as oil is a major pillar of the Turkish economy and to diminish their military power as their military power like every modern military mostly function through oil, thus helping our Middle Eastern allies to defeat the Turkish troops; number two, sanctionning any weaponry supply to Turkey; number three, getting our Greek allies deploying some of their warships from Constantinople to the Black Sea in order to intercept any Russian ship attempting to provide weaponry to Turkey, which will deprive Turkey of any war effort; number four, providing the Kurds in weaponry to help them defeat their enemies thanks to the military techniques of the first military power in the world (the United States of America); and number five, convincing India to involve in weaponry provision, military training and intelligence support for the Kurds due to India’s membership in the Tehran Pact and due to Turkey’s support to Pakistan and to the terrorist organizations state-sponsored by Pakistan, thus helping the Coalition forces to overpower Turkish troops thanks contributions from the 4th military power in the world and to counter the power of Russian and Chinese troops present in Turkey. That is the kind of leadership that needs to be followed in order to make Operation Ceasefire successful, help our allies to defeat the Turkish troops and bring Erdogan to the negotiating table and lead to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent and sovereign country for the sake of freedom, justice and stability in the Middle East.

Vice-President Marco Rubio campaigns for Republican congressional candidate Blake Filippi ahead of the special election in Rhode Island's at-large district

Location : Providence, Rhode Island

Date : March 2, 2024

Source : https://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/press-releases?id=C6716DAE-6FEF-4CC2-A858-D7123F0728B5

Thank you, Rhode Island! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

You know, Rhode Island’s at-large district is among the House districts holding special elections on March 5th. Every single House seat counts. We are 2 seats away from a Democratic take-over of the House of Representatives. They are 2 seats away from blocking every policy put forward that gave us the strongest economy in modern history and kept America safe. The stakes are too high for you to stay home on March 5th. That’s why we need you to mobilize at the highest possible number in every special election race, including here in RI-at-large district, to keep the House of Representatives under Republican hands and keep moving America forward.

It’s been a long, long time since Rhode Island hasn’t been competitive, except in the gubernatorial elections. If the gubernatorial races in Rhode Island are so competitive, then I believe we can absolutely make a breakthrough in this special election for RI-at-large district. It shows how much Republican ideas and Republican leadership are working. I never saw so many Republicans in Rhode Island. Finally, for the first time in 30 years, we have a real race here in a solid blue state like Rhode Island, making a serious run there thanks to the accomplishments of the last 8 years and because of Blake Filippi’s bi-partisan faith and his willingness and determination to put Rhode Island first.

In the last 8 years, our administration reduced taxes, especially thanks to the adoption of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, to the repeal of the Death Tax and the of the Marriage Penalty Tax and also thanks to the 2020 middle-class tax cut that President Trump put forward and that Congress passed in order to lower the middle-class’ fiscal burden and to further encourage job creation because a strong economy also requires a strong middle-class. As a result, we now have the lowest unemployment rate in history and the economy is booming all across this country, including right here in Rhode Island. Thanks to the tax-cut policies adopted in the last 8 years, Rhode Island’s unemployment rate went down from 4.7 % to 3.5 % today, bringing back manufacturing jobs and increasing the Ocean State’s real GDP from 1.4 % in 2017 to almost 4 % today. And these are exactly the policies that Blake Filippi defended throughout his career in the Rhode Island House of Representatives to defend the interests of Rhode Island’s taxpayers and he will keep doing so if elected at the House of Representatives to ensure the continuation of job creation, to lead this country to full-employment and keep America’s status as the best place to do business.

Blake was inspired to enter public service and defend the rights of the People by his father’s work as a civil rights leader. Paul A. Filippi had been the owner of Providence’s famed Celebrity Club — one of the first integrated music venues in the United States — despite immense pressure from government to halt integration. Paul Filippi’s struggle against immoral government action taught Blake that we citizens hold immense power to effect change and must stand tall for our beliefs. As a State Representative, Blake is a leading advocate for reform. He believes that government must be lean and clean, and has been a staunch advocate for ethical government, including the successful 2016 push for ethics reform.

Blake Filippi understands that in a blue state like Rhode Island getting things done often requires bringing both parties together, putting partisanship aside and reaching across the aisle and that’s what he did as Minority Leader in the Rhode Island House of Representatives. That’s why he brought Republicans and Democrats together to pass his legislation to relieve electricity ratepayers from state taxes that are imposed on any rate hike for National Grid as well as any future electricity rate increases approved by the Public Utilities Commission. He also reached an agreement with the State House Democrats to reduce cost of streetlights and improve energy efficiency for Block Island Community. Why? Because Blake believes that our beautiful environment is a human and economic treasure that must be preserved through responsible stewardship. That’s why as Congressman he will support any law aimed at making sure that America will take advantage of all of its sources of energy and will get to energy independence for the sake of a strong economy and an improvement of our ecological footprint. In the State House, Filippi put partisanship aside and worked with both Republicans and Democrats to cut the car tax in order to reduce the cost of buying a car and ensure that all Rhode Islanders will earn a decent and fair chance to earn and own a car through a lower fiscal burden. And he worked with both parties to curb opioid addiction to combat the devastating effects of the Opioid Crisis in a state that is among the ones mostly hit by this epidemic.

Even today, the Democrats in Washington are currently pursuing to their impeachment inquiry against President Trump due to Sergei Polonsky’s political leaning, demonstrating they are putting partisanship ahead of the interests and needs of the American people and are showing their unwillingness to work with the other party to get things done for the sake of America’s progress. The fact is, my friends, that the American people is tired of partisanship. We need to work together, Republicans, Democrats and Independents, to advance policies that will guarantee strong global peace as well as America’s security. If I win this nomination and become President of the United States while Polonsky gets elected as Russia’s next President, I will work with him normalize the relations between our 2 countries to work together for the expansion and the defense of human rights for better trade relations and for peace. If elected in the House of Representatives, Blake Filippi will work with Republicans and Democrats to support the ratification of constructive treaties that will make great contributions to permanent global peace and he will pass bills that will strengthen our national security and keep our military strong to keep our country safe, to ensure our victory against terrorism and to lead the world to permanent and stable nuclear security thanks to the promotion of American leadership. Blake also has a decent record in supporting our men and women in uniform, including in their post-military career. Seven years ago, Blake, along with the entire Rhode Island House of Representatives (Democrats and Republicans), voted unanimously in favor of a bill requiring more state contracts for Veteran-Owned businesses.

My friends, facing these times of challenges requires strong leadership and unity and Blake Filippi’s record and background shows that we can trust him to represent Rhode Island in the House of Representatives to defend the interests and values embraced by  the people of Rhode Island. We can trust him to put Rhode Island first. We can trust him to support the successful agenda of the last 8 years that strengthened our economy, defended our rights, supported our veterans and kept America safe. Let’s get the job done on March 5th, mobilize at the highest possible number that day, fight to secure your future and your freedom as well as our prosperity and our security by adding another voice in favor of our pro-growth and pro-liberty agenda and together we will give the Washington Democrats their ID-02 (referring to the surprising Democratic victory in the special election in ID-02 a month ago), we will turn Rhode Island red and keep moving America, including Rhode Island, forward.

Thank you. God bless Rhode Island and God bless the United States of America.

In the last 8 years, America made strong progress in getting our economy, including our agricultural industry, rolling again.

In 2019, in the context of the U.S.-China Trade War, President Trump went on to cut a deal with and Beijing, during a joint summit, on that issue as both nations agreed to lift tariffs with China halting to steal IPs and the United States stopping to use Chinese citizens for cheap labor abroad, thus ending the trade war, which helped farmers across this country to recover and to further reinforce their competition.

Marco Rubio has a plan to do even more on this issue to make certain our farmers will earn a chance to rise and prosper and to further launch our agricultural industry.

Source : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Idaho_farm_and_field.jpg
As President, he will reduce taxes and regulations for businesses across this nation, including for agricultural businesses, to help them to innovate and to manufacture more tractors and seeds and other farm products, which will boost job creation, improve agricultural technologies, ensure America's subsistence, reduce the food prices through the reduction of inflation and reduce Americans' dependence on food stamps, which will reinforce their purchasing power and give them more access to food. He will approve agricultural subsidies in order to help agricultural communities to recover from the trade war and to strengthen farm businesses’ ability to compete and produce.

He will also champion free trade, which will lower tariffs and increase exports and imports and increase access to our products, including farm and agricultural products, for 95 % of the world market (as we represent 5 % of the world market).

And finally, he will cut ag property taxes in order to grant farmers the opportunity to earn the property of farm lands and to pursue their activities for the sake of their food needs and their quest for the American Dream.

Our agricultural industry is a major pillar of our economy and as long as it is strong, America’s economy is strong. As long as America is the best business-friendly country in the world, this nation will be the best place for farmers to pursue their agricultural activities and will be the best place for everyday Americans to fill their food needs. That’s what will be done under a Rubio Administration and that’s why he needs your vote for America’s future.

Marco Rubio's anti-opioid policy speech

Location : Wilmington, Delaware

Date : February 25, 2024

Of the four major candidates for President, three want to legalize opioids while President Trump made the fight against the Opioid Crisis one of his top priorities during his presidency. I am the only candidate who understands the devastating consequences of opioids. Legalizing opioids will only make the Opioid Crisis even worse as it will embolden fentanyl traffickers by making it easier for them to orchestrate their drug trafficking activities and by making opioids easily accessible because drug companies pushed for doctors and the government to embrace their drugs and different levels of government loosened access to opioids after lobbying from drug companies. As a result, a lot of people have died : in terms of overdoses, the opioid epidemic is deadlier than any other drug crisis in US history. More than 560,000 people in the US died to drug overdoses between 1999 and 2015 because opioid companies got a hold of a dangerous, addictive product, marketed it irresponsibly, and lobbied for lax rules. As a result, states like Delaware and Florida are among the states that are mostly hit by the epidemic as they suffered 52.0 per 100 000 drug overdose deaths of the 64,070 overdose deaths in the US in 2016. The state of New York suffered 19 per 100 000 drug overdose deaths in 2016. And in Texas, 70 000 people die of drug overdoses every year because of the Opioid Crisis. Delaware also ranks 5th in the nation for children affected by the Opioid Crisis next to Kentucky (4th) while Florida is tied with Massachusetts, Michigan and Arizona for 13th place, the state of New York has the 16th highest rate of youth affected by the opioid epidemic. Action was needed to counter that epidemic that’s why I successfully co-introduced the Fentanyl Sanctions Act of 2019, a bipartisan anti-opioid measure to impose sanctions against Chinese and other foreign traffickers of fentanyl. Six years ago, I also championed provisions to the SUPPORT Act, the single largest legislative package addressing a single drug crisis in history, to help stop payments to middlemen referring patients to illicit sober homes and treatment centers; an amendment to improve the quality of care provided to newborn babies suffering from opioid withdrawal by providing states additional funding to research babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome; the Hospice Safe Drug Disposal Act to allow hospice providers to safely dispose of unused opioids so they do not end up in the wrong hands; the Sober Home Fraud Detection Act to help states, law enforcement, private insurers and patients identify potentially illicit sober homes to make sure those who need care are able to find reputable legitimate facilities; the SALTS Act that made it easier for law enforcement to prosecute those that sell and distribute synthetic drugs that are substantially similar to other illegal drugs by closing a loophole that enabled wrongdoers to avoid prosecution by simply labeling the deadly drug as “not intended for human consumption”; and the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, legislation to interdict fentanyl, synthetic opioids, and other narcotics by requiring international shipments through the U.S. Postal Service to provide advance information on where the shipment is coming from, where it is going, and its contents, and to instruct U.S. Postal Service and Customs and Border Protection to develop technology to identify fentanyl and illicit opioids entering the United States by mail. As President, I will do the following in order to combat the Opioid Crisis : 1) reduce demand and over-prescription, including educating Americans about the dangers of opioid misuse; 2) cut down on the supply of illicit drugs by cracking down on the international and domestic drug supply chains that devastate American communities; 3) help those struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment and recovery support services. The choice for this election : untested leadership and risky ideas or steady and proven leadership. And with your help, your support and your vote, I will lead this fight, because our security, the American people's health and our children's future depends on it, because our children’s future is worth fighting for.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Source : https://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/home
Nuclear power is a proven, zero-emission source of energy, and it is time we recommit to advancing our use of nuclear power. Currently, nuclear power produces 20% of our power but as of today, our country is losing the nuclear energy export race to China and Russia. Russian and Chinese companies are aggressively pursuing nuclear energy export deals and building more reactors overseas than U.S. firms. This tendency is making us more dependent on foreign energy and that’s why we need to reverse that tendency and I have an ambitious plan to get us there.

Under my presidency, we will encourage the building of new nuclear power plants here in this country with the objective of building 40 new nuclear power plants by 2050 in order to reach to a total number of 100 nuclear power plants on the U.S. soil by the end of the first half of this century with the ultimate goal of building 100 new nuclear power plants. We will do it through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for building new nuclear power plants. And instead of doing it with taxpayers’ money like the Democrats want to do, we will invest a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies, including nuclear power, wind, solar, hydro and geothermal energies. That plan will help create 600 000 new jobs (nearly 15 000 jobs created for every new nuclear plant built). That way, our nation's industrial and manufacturing base will be rejuvenated and we will encourage both economic growth and job creation as well as an improvement of our ecological footprint, making our country more independent from foreign suppliers and foreign nuclear power and increasing America’s competitiveness in the nuclear power export race at the point of becoming the world’s leader in nuclear energy export and edging China and Russia on that level. That way, we will accomplish America’s path to energy independence and improve American families’ quality of life through even stronger access to electricity and heat. A vote for me is a vote for prosperity, energy independence and preservation of our environment through fiscally responsible policies. And that’s why I need your vote to ensure the continuation of America’s economic prosperity and status as the world’s top energy producer
Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Vice-President Rubio's debate answers

Opening statement : Good evening ladies and gentlemen. In this time of challenges, tonight is about how to pursue hope and prosperity as well as about how to ensure the preservation of freedom and security here and abroad and how to bring this party together to win in November and keep moving our country forward through lower taxes, defense of our constitutional rights and strong American leadership. My campaign is focused on these issues and I’m looking forward to have that kind of debate tonight.

General Question #1 : I will campaign in all those 4 districts you just mentioned. Because AL-02, CT-05, RI-AL and SC-01 will be the districts that will decide whether the House will be taken by the Democrats or will remain under Republicans. The Democrats are just 2 seats away from taking the House, 2 seats away from blocking every policy aimed at creating jobs through lower taxes and the promotion of free enterprise, 2 seats away from blocking any policy protecting our country’s constitutional rights and 2 seats away from blocking any policy aimed at keeping America safe through secured borders, a strong military and bold American leadership. We can’t let them do this and we even have an opportunity to strengthen our House majority by winning RI-AL with Blake Filippi, a bipartisan Republican who knows how to get things done. And such a victory will not only make our majority even more stable but also indicate how much the Republican Party is becoming competitive again in New England Democratic strongholds like Rhode Island. That is an opportunity we can’t afford to miss and that’s why I intend to campaign for Filippi as well as for other GOP candidates to keep the House under Republican hands and to keep moving this country forward.

General Question #2 : The proposed 28th amendment makes sense as it would allow Senators to serve until the age of 75 and so to serve a few decades if they are elected at an enough young age and would avoid tragic deaths during the Senator's term. And also term limits in Congress will also make our country totally look like a real democracy and it is also necessary because Congress keeps spending. And I agree that the final result should go through the Electoral college to preserve the integrity of presidential elections and I agree that a Justice can only be impeached by a 3/4ths yes vote in both chambers of Congress because it will help us to pass any constitutional conservative SCOTUS nominee and keep the SCOTUS conservative, ensuring the protection of constitutional rights.

General Question #3 : Well, thanks for the warning [laughs] (referring to Trump’s statement that any Cabinet member calling for military intervention would be fired). Because I have already established my position and it doesn’t include a military intervention in Turkey. Here’s what needs to be done and what I would do as President : imposing an embargo on Turkish oil to weaken their economy as oil is a major pillar of the Turkish economy and to diminish their military power as their military like every modern military mostly function through oil, thus helping our allies to defeat the Turkish troops; sanctioning weaponry supplies to Turkey; getting our Greek allies to deploy some of their warships from Constantinople to the Black Sea to intercept any Russian ship attempting to provide weaponry to Turkey, which will deprive Turkey of any war effort; providing the Kurds in weaponry; and convincing India to involve in weaponry provision, military training and intelligence support for the Kurds due to India’s membership in the Tehran Pact and due to Turkey’s support to Pakistan and to the terrorist organizations state-sponsored by Pakistan, thus helping the Coalition forces to overpower Turkish troops thanks contributions from the 4th military power in the world and to counter the power of Russian and Chinese troops present in Turkey. That is the kind of leadership that needs to be followed in order to make Operation Ceasefire successful, help our allies to defeat the Turkish troops and bring Erdogan to the negotiating table and lead to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent and sovereign state for the sake of freedom, justice and stability in the Middle East.

General Question #4 : All those 3 gentlemen are decent choices, but my first choice is Ted Cruz. He has the experience to serve at SCOTUS due to his legal career and he served as Texas Solicitor General. He is a constitutional conservative and an unapologetic defender of the Second Amendment, of the life of the unborn, of freedom of religion and of the states’ rights and dedicated an major part of his political career to fight for strong and secured borders which are all the qualities that Senator Cruz and I have in common. When it comes to the Senate’s actions, the Democrats obviously decided to act as a do-nothing opposition. No wonder that they want to diminish the Second Amendment, tolerate abortion and award Guantanamo terrorists with constitutional rights. But fortunately, we have the necessary votes to approve any potential SCOTUS nominee that President Trump will appoint as we have a 53-47 Republican majority in the Senate even if the Senate vote comes to a 50-50 deadlock on the SCOTUS nominee, as Vice-President I’m the President of the Senate and so I will cast the 51st vote needed to break the tie and approve whoever President Trump nominates for SCOTUS for the sake of the defense of your constitutional rights, of the protection of unborn lives, of the preservation of freedom of religion, etc. And when I’m President, I will pursue this fight to protect those inviolable rights by nominating constitutional conservative judges.

General Question #5 : No I don’t think it is a just cause for more military intervention in Africa because we already have few troops there training the local Armed Forces. That doesn’t mean that Thune’s death is not a just cause for leadership because as Ronald Reagan said « if we don’t accept the responsibilities of leadership, who will? » Keeping America safe against terror requires strong and secured borders, the deployment of boots to our borders, background checks on refugees coming to this country. That's exactly what we're doing. What also needs to be done is keeping our military strong and modernizing it and standing with our allies. Under my leadership, we will provide our Western African allies in military training and in materials to get them to take on the responsibility of their own security. We already have 3 drone bases in Nigeria and so we’ll use our drones to destroy Boko Haram key targets as well as their controlled oil refineries to deprive them of revenues from their oil drilling activities to fund their war effort and their plans of terrorist attacks. That way, we will defeat our enemies without needing to send additional troops in Africa and through lower cost (as drones are significantly cheaper to purchase, fuel, and maintain than regular airplanes), keep America safe and strong and guarantee a stabilized global peace through strength thanks to the preservation of American leadership. It’s not a matter of presence, it’s a matter of casualties and thanks to that plan, we’re going to keep America safe without sending additional troops in harm’s way.

General Question #6 : This bill is a great step towards fairer democratic process to show how much big cities can make the difference in election by overrunning a majority of counties in a state despite them being a small number of the counties in a state. For example, here in Texas, big cities like Houston or Dallas would be the equivalent of states like Texas, New York or Illinois on the national Electoral College, thus ensuring decent balance in the states’ elections and such balance is key to integrity and fair democratic process.

General Question #7 : My colleagues on this stage have proven themselves to be good rivals and I will continue to have admiration and respect for them during and after that campaign. Governor Rodriguez focused an important part of his campaign on infrastructure and veterans, which are also major priorities of my campaign and I would see a decent Secretary of Veteran Affairs or Secretary of HUD in him. During her time in the House of Representatives and her tenure as Governor and during this campaign, Governor Noem spent an important part of her life fighting to protect the interests of farmers and to boost our agricultural industry, the moreover that she had to abandon college to help run her family's ranch after her father was killed in a farm machinery accident. Should I win this nomination and become President, she would be among my first choices for Secretary of Agriculture. But I also think that Governor Noem would be a great Vice-President she is a woman of courage who spent day after day fighting for hard-working South Dakotans and took on corruption and a constitutional conservative. No matter who on this stage wins the nomination, I hope he or she will have the support of all other candidates so we can be a united party to win in November and pursue the progress of the last 8 years.

Marco Rubio Question #1 : As we understood, the American people want a more civilized campaign and so we are focusing on the issues facing America as well as on policy and solutions because I know that we must campaign on the people’s hopes and aspirations which are small government and lower taxes for an even stronger economy and the defense of their constitutional rights and their national security because that is what this campaign is all about. But if any of the other campaigns decide to break their promise to run a positive campaign, decide to attack me and to mislead American voters about my record and agenda, then I will fight back. And above all, our people wants to know who has the best experience, leadership and ideas to lead this country and I can tell you that I am that person. I first served as county-commissioner, as state Representative, as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, as Senator, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and as Vice-President so I know what it takes to grow this economy and keep America free and safe.

Marco Rubio Question #2 : First of all, those accusations are flat-out false, it’s pure defamation. I haven’t hijacked anything, certainly not the vice-presidency. It’s like saying that Mike Pence did so to further his political career in 2016, which is far from the truth. And actually I supported the President’s foreign policy agenda as I supported his counter-terrorism efforts that defeated ISIS thanks to a strong military and strong alliances as well as his efforts to denuclearize North Korea and to cancel Obama’s Iran nuclear deal that was handing billions of dollars to a country that was the world’s largest state-sponsor of terrorism at the time. The reason why President Trump asked me to be his Vice-President in 2020 is because he trusted my judgment enough to help him keep America safe and prosperous and so by adding my foreign policy experience, we went on to get North Korea and Iran denuclearized, to defeat ISIS in the Middle East and to strengthen Israel’s stability, giving us a great opportunity for strong global peace. That’s why I’m ruling out a military intervention in Operation Ceasefire as I believe sanctions will be successful in defeating Turkey and that’s why I engage to normalize the US-Russia relations in the first 100 days of my presidency if Sergei Polonsky is elected this spring. And I have the best foreign policy experience to get us to long-term global peace so our children can grow up in a world where they will earn the opportunity to be safe and free.

Closing Statement : We’re in a time of challenges : terrorist threat from West Africa, a war threatening the stability of the Middle East (referring to Operation Ceasefire), a border crisis and an opioid crisis threatening our children’s future. Such time means a time in which we can’t afford any on-the-job-training. And my experience qualifies me for the top job : as Chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I know how to keep this economy growing and I did so by leading the effort to double the Child Tax Credit and passing legislation that kept America’s status as the world’s best business-friendly country. As a member of the Committee on Foreign Relations and as VP, I know how to keep this country safe which means keeping our military strong, strong alliances, strong American leadership and strong borders. That’s why I passed those sanctions on Hezbollah and the Girls Count Act to fight human trafficking. And that experience helped President Trump to accomplish great things such as the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran and our victory on ISIS in the Middle East. That’s why I ask for your vote because I have the right background, judgement and agenda to pursue the progress of the last 8 years to get us to full-employment and long-term global peace, which are keys to the defense of the America’s promise to make sure that our children will earn the opportunities that previous generations couldn’t have thanks to the protection and expansion of the American Dream. Thank you.

Marco Rubio's Victory Speech in Wilmington, Delaware
Own creation

Thank you Delaware! Thank you so very much!

Just 3 days ago, the mainstream media wanted to declare us dead. But we proved them wrong, we fought so hard in every corner of that state focused on issues and consulting every voice across the Diamond State and came out on top. And it’s not even close. So tonight, the people of Delaware sent a clear message that they would not let themselves being told what to do. We, the people, the citizens of the United States, get to decide our next president, not the mainstream media, not anyone else but the people of America.

Once again, in the last few days and weeks, we indicated how much we have great projects for America, great projects inspiring the American people such as developing new infrastructures through public-private partnerships and promotion of free enterprise, making the establishment of Lunar Gateway our top priority in terms of space exploration to launch a crewed mission to Mars by 2030 and strengthen  America’s status as the leader in space exploration and getting us to a total of 100 nuclear power plants in America by 2050 through the building of 40 new plants in order to make the U.S. the leader in nuclear energy export and production and to secure our country’s path to energy independence and energy dominance. These are ambitions that will help us in our quest to preserve America’s greatness which is key to the maintenance and expansion of the American Dream to ensure that our children inherit from us, what we inherited from our parents, the single greatest nation in the history of all of mankind.

We have proven the American people that we have the right solutions to our challenges, solutions that will bring us together as a nation. We made it clear that the right solution to reduce our debt and our deficit and bring them under control is not to raise taxes like Tammy Duckworth and Jeff Merkley want to do, but to reduce wasteful spending which we will do by stopping out-of-control spending, by passing term limits in Congress, by passing a balanced budget amendment, by vetoing bridge-to-nowhere projects, by vetoing earmarks and by encouraging fiscal discipline and responsibility. And in order to keep America safe, we put forward a plan that will combat Boko Haram without needing to send additional U.S. troops in harm’s way thanks to operations implicating unmanned military arsenal and thanks to the provision of arsenal and military training to our allies. That way, we will defeat radical Islamic terrorism without deploying ground troops while keeping American leadership strong because that’s how peace through strength works.

Delaware, thanks to this big victory that you gave us tonight, you helped us building up the necessary strong momentum for Super Tuesday. So let's keep everything we've got and let’s keep the great work for Super Tuesday thanks to that momentum and we will win big on Super Tuesday and make a great step much closer to the nomination and to America's victory in November through the continuation of the successful progress of the last eight years.

Thank you! God bless Delaware and God bless the United States of America!

Marco Rubio's GOTV speech in New York City, New York
Own creation

Hello New York!

It’s emotional for me to give my GOTV speech right here in New York. New York City is home to a great symbol of freedom : the Statue of Liberty, which has been given to America from France as a gift to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence ratified in a time of fight for America’s freedom, integrity and independence. It is here in this city where, 27 years ago, I proposed to the love of my life Jeanette Rubio at the top of the Empire State Building and where I became the luckiest man on Earth when Jeanette accepted to marry me. It is also here in this great and wonderful city that Ronald Reagan announced his candidacy for President in 1979 for the 1980 campaign during a time of crisis in which our economy was struggling due to big government, high inflation and an oil crisis and in which America was facing a hostage crisis in Iran and an edge by the Soviet Union in nuclear weaponry. But he fixed America by cutting taxes and lowering the size of government, encouraging strong economic growth and job creation and reducing our unemployment rate by 2 % and by rebuilding our military, giving us the advantage over the Soviet Union and leading us to victory in the Cold War. It is here that Donald Trump announced his run for the presidency and it is after that that he got this country to where we are today : the strongest economy in modern history, the creation of 7 million new jobs and lowest unemployment rate in 50 years thanks to tax-cut and free enterprise policies, secured borders, protection of America’s constitutional rights thanks to the nomination of conservative judges and a country much safer than it was 8 years ago thanks to a rebuilding and modernization of our military and thanks to strong American leadership, which defeated ISIS in the Middle East and eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran, getting us to permanent global peace now more than ever. And you know, New York is also a symbol of America’s prosperity through free enterprise : New York is home to companies like IBM, PepsiCo, Verizon, Icahn Enterprises, Pfizer and Icahn Enterprises. New York is the second best city in the world for business travel and The Atlantic has ranked New York City #2 in entrepreneurial environment. And I know what it takes to keep the economy growing. In the U.S. Senate, I cosponsored the AGREE Act that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital and gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise. I cosponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act requiring the Small Business Administration to lead every year a study of the total cost of regulations on small businesses. In 2017, in an effort to make the Trump tax cuts successful and permanent, I fought to double the child tax credit from $1000 to $2000 and so that's what President Trump did, which strengthened our economy and increased American consumers' purchasing power. And as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I fought to preserve America’s status as the best place in the world to do business by promoting and passing legislation reducing businesses’ and taxpayers’ fiscal burden. And New York is also the place where America suffered the worst attack in history on September 11th 2001, when terrorists decided to take on America’s freedom, after which we made it clear that we would not surrender to terror and tyranny and we and our allies tracked, fought and defeated Al Qaida and killed Bin Laden and a new World Trade Center was built on the same site as the original, which is a victory of life over death. And as a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, I have the right foreign policy credentials to keep America safe and we will do so by providing military training and weaponry to our allies in West Africa to help them combat Boko Haram and by taking on Boko Haram’s oil refineries to deprive them of revenues from their oil drilling activities to fund their war effort. If Sergei Polonsky is elected President of Russia this spring, I will work with him to normalize our relations between the US and Russia in the first 100 days of my presidency and together we’ll be strong partners for the protection of human rights, peace and stability on the international stage. And to accomplish our path to permanent nuclear security, I will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty that will prohibit the use of fissile material to build nuclear weapons.

My friends, America’s future is at stake in this election : either we move backwards, like the 2 Democratic presidential candidates are suggesting, through higher taxes, higher regulations on America’s energy industry, big government policies that will ship jobs overseas, deep cuts in the military that will diminish America’s security and make our country an easier target for terrorism or we keep moving forward thanks to the promotion of tax reform, free enterprise, fiscal discipline, free market healthcare system, defense of our people’s constitutional rights, strong military and American leadership. And thanks to my experience and agenda, our country will head in the right direction and will get to full employment, permanent prosperity and long-term global prosperity. And that’s why I ask you to mobilize at the highest possible number in all of the Super Tuesday states to fight for your future and to make sure that our children and grandchildren will be the most prosperous, freest and safest generations of Americans that ever lived.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless the United States of America!

Ted Cruz’s speech in Texas

Location : Houston, Texas

Date : March 2, 2024

Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz#/media/File:Ted_Cruz_official_116th_portrait.jpg

Hello Texas!

I’m here to speak on behalf my friend Vice-President Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States of America. Among all the presidential candidates running in this campaign, Marco Rubio is the best one to defend the values embraced by Texans, including tax reform and small government, defense of our constitutional rights, energy independence, strong and secured borders, etc. He has the right experience to continue the progress of the last 8 years, including economic booming that has been made possible thanks to tax cuts, free enterprise and fiscal responsibility and strong national security thanks to a strong military, alliances and American leadership. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Marco knows that America’s prosperity requires making America the best place in the world to do business and that’s what he will do by cutting taxes, taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy, reducing our corporate tax rate from 21 % to 15 %, promoting free trade for our competitiveness in the world economy, balancing the budget and encourage public-private partnerships to ensure the development of new infrastructures in this country. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, Marco understands what it takes to keep this great country safe and he will do it by keeping our borders secured, keeping our military strong and modernizing it, expanding our alliances and staying on offense against terror.

In 2017, Hurricane Harvey has hit Texas, causing serious damages and depriving people of their home. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, myself, Marco and John Cornyn introduced the Emergency Tax Relief for the families of victims of Hurricane Harvey, a bill that gave $5 billion in emergency tax relief for families impacted by Hurricane Harvey to help them recover from that disaster and that this law passed both Houses of Congress overwhelmingly. That is the kind of leadership America needs in a President in order to protect America against such kind of disasters.

Free trade is a key to America’s prosperity, including Texas due to its proximity with Mexico. Here in Texas, approximately 950,000 jobs depend on trade with our North American neighbors. Not only did Canada and Mexico buy $137 billion of Texas’ exports in 2018, sales of Texas goods and services to our North American neighbors accounted for about 43% of our state’s total exports to the world. These are staggering numbers that grew even more thanks to the implementation of the USMCA that is preserving all these benefits and ensures U.S. manufacturers, farmers, ranchers and service providers can maintain duty-free access to the Canadian and Mexican markets. Free trade is also good for farmers in this country, including here in Texas, as the USMCA increased total annual U.S. agricultural and food exports by $2.2 billion and dairy exports to Canada and Mexico raised by $227 million and $50.6 million, respectively, over the baseline, while imports grew by $227.9 million. And Marco Rubio made a remarkable contribution to the successful renegotiation of NAFTA by introducing the Defending Domestic Produce Production Act to help Florida fruit and vegetable growers combat Mexico’s unfair trade practices by allowing farmers to petition the Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission to investigate illegal subsidies and dumping of Mexican fruits and vegetables in the U.S. market. So as President of the United States, Marco Rubio will champion free trade by ratifying pro-growth trade deals with Latin America, Europe and with our allies in the Pacific in order to make America the most competitive nation in the world economy and that will be a wonderful deal for Texas as it will ensure that this state will continue to be a leader in the nation in terms of job creation.

America is facing the Opioid crisis, one of the deadliest epidemics ever to hit this country, killing tens of thousands of people in this country every year. And that is an issue that is personal to me. My older sister Myriam died of a drug overdose. People across the state of Texas, 70 000 people, are dying of drug overdoses every year. And Texas is ranked 20th in the nation for children affected by the Opioid Crisis. I believe it would be a serious mistake to legalize opioids like all other presidential candidates want to do. Only Marco Rubio understands the terrible consequences of the Opioid crisis in this country, he understands that it will make it even worse as it will embolden fentanyl traffickers by making it easier for them to orchestrate their drug trafficking activities and by making opioids easily accessible because drug companies pushed for doctors and the government to embrace their drugs and different levels of government loosened access to opioids after lobbying from drug companies. That’s why Marco co-introduced the Fentanyl Sanctions Act of 2019, a bipartisan anti-opioid measure to impose sanctions against Chinese and other foreign traffickers of fentanyl. Six years ago, he also supported provisions to the SUPPORT Act, the single largest legislative package addressing a single drug crisis in history, to help stop payments to middlemen referring patients to illicit sober homes and treatment centers; an amendment to improve the quality of care provided to newborn babies suffering from opioid withdrawal by providing states additional funding to research babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome; the Hospice Safe Drug Disposal Act to allow hospice providers to safely dispose of unused opioids so they do not end up in the wrong hands; the Sober Home Fraud Detection Act to help states, law enforcement, private insurers and patients identify potentially illicit sober homes to make sure those who need care are able to find reputable legitimate facilities; the SALTS Act that made it easier for law enforcement to prosecute those that sell and distribute synthetic drugs that are substantially similar to other illegal drugs by closing a loophole that enabled wrongdoers to avoid prosecution by simply labeling the deadly drug as “not intended for human consumption”; and the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, legislation to interdict fentanyl, synthetic opioids, and other narcotics by requiring international shipments through the U.S. Postal Service to provide advance information on where the shipment is coming from, where it is going, and its contents, and to instruct U.S. Postal Service and Customs and Border Protection to develop technology to identify fentanyl and illicit opioids entering the United States by mail. And as President of the United States, Marco will reduce demand and over-prescription, including educating Americans about the dangers of opioid misuse; cut down on the supply of illicit drugs by cracking down on the international and domestic drug supply chains that devastate American communities; and help those struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment and recovery support services.

As a constitutional conservative, Marco Rubio will nominate conservative judges who will protect your Second Amendment rights, the life of the unborn, freedom of religion and the states’ rights.

Right here, in Houston, Texas, is located the Johnson Space Center that was formed in 1961 in the context of the Space Race between us and the Soviets, a contest which we won by sending men to the Moon, 55 years ago. Right now, America’s objective is to send a crewed mission to Mars by 2030 and that’s why, as President of the United States, Marco Rubio will make the establishment of a manned lunar base named Lunar Gateway on the Moon by 2028 his top priority in terms of space exploration to give us a springboard for crewed missions to the Moon and Mars, thus making our goal to get astronauts to Mars possible. And that will give Texas an opportunity to further strengthen its status as a leader in America’s space exploration program.

Texas is leading the nation in terms of energy production, including in crude oil production, natural gas production and electricity production and in wind-powered generation. And by abolishing Obama’s War on Coal and by approving the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, the Trump Administration has favored massive job creation and allowed America to make a giant step closer towards energy independence. Marco Rubio will pursue those pro-growth policies by encouraging oil drilling and approving the construction of pipelines to facilitate oil transportation. He will also use a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies. He also has a plan to make America the world’s leader in terms of nuclear energy export and production by encouraging the building of 40 new nuclear power plants in the US by 2050 and that will be done by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling in the development of renewable energies, including nuclear, and through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for the building of new nuclear power plants. That way, we will get America to energy independence by taking advantage of our oil, gas, nuclear, coal, solar, nuclear, hydraulic and geothermal energies.

So my fellow Texans, my fellow Americans, time has come for us to go to the polls in order to pursue the progress of the last 8 years. Let’s elect Marco Rubio as the next President of the United States of America and he will get things done and he will get us to full employment, energy independence, permanent preservation of freedom and long-term global peace and, most of all, ensure the preservation of America’s greatness.

Thank you, God bless Texas and God bless the United States of America.

Marco Rubio's Surrogate Schedule

Second Lady of the United States Jeanette Rubio campaigns for her husband in California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Vermont and Virginia on economy, Medicare and foreign policy.

Rubio’s daughter Amanda campaigns for her father in Nevada, Virginia, Minnesota, New York and North Carolina on experience, economy, social security, energy and foreign policy.

Rubio’s older son Anthony campaigns for his father in Nevada, Virginia, Minnesota, New York and Florida on economy, social security, space policy and foreign policy.

Former Vice-President Mike Pence campaigns for Rubio in New York, Minnesota, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Nevada, California and Florida on economic issues, on social issues like abortion and gun rights and on foreign policy, touting Rubio’s record on tax reform and economic issues as well as his foreign policy experience and agenda. Pence also hold fundraising events for the Rubio campaign in Super Tuesday states.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo campaigns for Rubio in California, Nevada, Texas, Kansas, Minnesota, Florida, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts and Vermont on foreign policy and trade, praising Rubio’s plan to combat Boko Haram without sending additional troops in Africa and through drone airstrikes and material support to Western African allies as well as his plan to make Operation Ceasefire successful and his promotion of free trade to make America the most competitive nation in the world economy. Pompeo also hold fundraising events for the Rubio campaign in Super Tuesday states.

Former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer campaigns for Rubio across California on economy, energy and foreign policy, praising the Vice-President’s economic and free enterprise as well as his energy plan encouraging offshore oil drilling and increasing the production of nuclear energy in America through the building of new nuclear power plants thanks to tax credits and the investment of a part of revenues from oil drilling into the investment of renewable energies, thus getting America to energy independence and making this country the leader in nuclear energy export.

Nevada Senator Dean Heller and Nevada Governor Adam Laxalt campaign for Rubio in Nevada on economy, government spending, immigration, health care and foreign policy. Heller also spent the entire week to appeal Nevada’s Hispanic voters and Mormon voter (as Rubio was once a Mormon during his childhood before converting to Catholicism) in favor of Marco Rubio to help him pull up a win in Nevada thanks to a coalition of Hispanics and Mormons.

In an effort to close the gap in the Texas primary in favor of Rubio (combined with Rubio’s strong debate performance in the recent Republican presidential primary debate in Houston, Texas), Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Texas Governor Greg Abbott campaign for the Vice-President all across the state of Texas on economy, taxes, government spending, free trade, energy, health care, social security, guns, abortion, immigration, border security and foreign policy. They both described Rubio as the best presidential candidate to represent Texas values due to his constitutional conservatism and as he was the only candidate to have supported Trump’s border security agenda and also described the Vice-President’s space policy agenda that will make Lunar Gateway’s establishment America’s top priority in space exploration to propel the launch of a manned mission to Mars by 2030 (which will give Texas an opportunity to further strengthen its status as a leader in America’s space exploration program due to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston). Cruz and Abbott also touted the Vice-President’s agenda including the promotion of oil drilling, taking the advantage of all of America’s sources of energy as well as Rubio’s recently unveiled nuclear energy agenda, declaring that this energy policy will not only strengthen America’s prosperity but will also reinforce Texas’ status as a leader in energy production (as Texas leads the nation in crude oil production, natural gas production and electricity production and in wind-powered generation).

South Carolina Eric Bolling campaigns for Rubio in Georgia and North Carolina on economy, government spending, social security, health care, gun rights, abortion and foreign policy.

Virginia Governor Eric Cantor and Virginia Senator Scott Taylor campaign for Vice-President Rubio all across Virginia on economic issues, social security, energy, coal, health care, veterans and foreign policy. As a strongly pro-Israel Republican, Cantor touted  Rubio’s contribution to ensuring Israel’s survival through his sponsored sanctions on Hezbollah (during his time in the Senate) and the normalization of the US-Iran relations through the VP’s visit in Iran in 2021 in which he discussed issues in which we managed to reach agreements with Arsham Parsi who, in the aftermath, announced that Iran started denuclearizing and stopped state-sponsoring terrorism, which they did, thus strengthening stability in the Middle East. Cantor and Taylor praised the Vice-President’s record on taking care of veterans, his economic record and plan and his foreign policy experience, calling on Virginians to mobilize and cast their vote for Rubio, the most qualified candidate to serve as Commander-in-Chief and to keep America safe, prosperous and free.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and U.S. Representatives Scherie Murray and Nicole Malliotakis campaigned for Rubio all across the state of New York on economic issues, energy, free trade, health care, national security and foreign policy, touting his foreign policy credentials and describing him as the candidate with the best knowledge to grow the economy (due to his Chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and his record on tax reform) by making America the best place in the world to do business. Giuliani takes on the occasion that as President, Marco Rubio will do to America what Giuliani did to New York City as Mayor. Murray also campaigned on combating the Opioid Crisis (based on the effects of that epidemic on the state of New York) and touted Rubio’s plan to do.

Florida Senator Pam Bondi, Florida Lieutenant-Governor Jeanette Nunez and Byron Donalds Jeanette Nunez campaign for Vice-President Rubio all across the state of Florida on economy, energy, trade, social security, health care, opioids, SCOTUS, gun rights, abortion, veterans, national security, foreign policy, Rubio’s experience and record of accomplishments for Florida throughout his political career. Nunez describes Rubio as the only presidential candidate in this race who understands Floridians’ concerns about the effects of the Opioid Crisis on the Sunshine State, praising his record and plan to combat that epidemic. Bondi touted Rubio’s space exploration plan to prioritize the establishment of Lunar Gateway on the lunar base by 2028 to propel the launch of a crewed missions to Mars and to the Moon, which will ensure the accomplishment of America’s goal to launch a manned mission to Mars by 2030 and give Florida another great opportunity to reinforce its status as the leader in America’s space exploration program (due to Florida’s sizable aerospace industry and to the location of the Kennedy Space Center of the Cape Canaveral and Merritt Island launch sites in the Sunshine State).

President of the National Republican Hispanic Assembly Betty Cardenas campaigns for Rubio in California, Nevada, New York, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Virginia, Oklahoma and Texas to attract Hispanic voters in those states to mobilize and go to the polls on Super Tuesday to reinforce Rubio’s Hispanic voter turnout by touting the Rubio’s Hispanic heritage as well as his school choice agenda that will lead to lower education costs for families, including immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, production of higher outcomes, in contrast to public education (which will expand opportunities for low-income students—notably minorities—to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to high-income families, thus giving them a fair chance of success and an easier path to the workforce). Cardenas also praised Rubio’s free trade agenda that will champion free trade with Latin America, which will give American businesses, including Hispanic small businesses in the United States thanks to language opportunities and their fluency in Spanish and English, new opportunities to innovate, to increase their competitiveness, to get new consumers by giving them access to American products, to create jobs in our country and ensure their business' expansion and will also place  Hispanic small business workers among top importers, exporters, translators and executives who ensure such a cultural and commercial exchange. She also reminds Hispanic voters in Super Tuesday states that thanks to the tax-cut and free enterprise policies promoted and supported by President Trump and Vice-President Rubio in the last 8 years brought the Hispanic unemployment rate at its lowest rate ever, reiterating that as President of the United States, Rubio will continue those tax reform and free market policies to make sure that all Americans, including Hispanics, will earn a decent chance to prosper and to find a job thanks to the promotion of opportunity for all for the sake of the preservation and reinforcement of the American Dream.

Dean Heller's speech in Nevada

Location : Las Vegas, Nevada

Date : March 3, 2024

Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Heller#/media/File:Dean_Heller,_official_portrait,_114th_Congress.jpg

You know, before Donald Trump was inaugurated President, 80 % of Nevada's territory was controlled by the federal government, which drastically restricted liberty as well as opportunities to prosper. But all of that has changed when President Trump came in office and adopted creative policies that reduced the size of government, cut taxes for all Americans, reduced our corporate tax rate from 40 % to 21 % and reduced the cost of doing business in America, thus making America the best place in the world to do business and thus bringing massive job creation thanks to the promotion of free enterprise and free market. As a result, the economy boomed all across the country, including here in Nevada where the unemployment rate went down by 2 %. These are policies that will be continued by Marco Rubio as the next President of the United States to ensure that all Americans will have jobs thanks to small government and free market.

There is more to be done about it, notably bringing our deficit under control. And Marco Rubio understands that the best way to do so is to fight wasteful spending not raising taxes because the reason we have debt and deficit is because Congress keeps spending. So as President, Marco Rubio will stop out-of-control spending, pass term limits in Congress, adopt a balanced budget amendment, veto bridge-to-nowhere projects, veto earmarks and encourage fiscal discipline and responsibility in order to reduce government spending and balance the budget.

Let's make Marco Rubio our nominee and our President so we can make sure that our prosperity will be permanent and that America's greatness will be uncontested. He will fight to make sure that, as Abraham Lincoln once said, our government will be of the people by the people for the people instead of a government of the government by the government for the government like the Democrats want to do. In short, Marco Rubio will fight to make certain that our government will defend the interests of the people.

Thank you. God bless Nevada and God bless America.

Vice-President Rubio campaigns for Republican congressional candidates ahead of special elections

-VP Rubio campaigns for Wes Allen in Montgomery, in AL-02, touting Allen’s conservative faith, his championship of tax reform and small government, his pro-life record and his support to the Second Amendment. Allen thanked the Vice-President for supporting him and campaigning for him and highlighted his conservative record while labeling his Democratic opponent Kelvin Lawrence as out of step with Alabama by highlighting Lawrence’s vote against authorizing execution by electrocution, his 2018 vote against authorizing public charter schools, his vote against authorizing « Stand your Ground » in defense of church members (which allows individuals to use self-defence, including with firearms, if such individual believes that another individual is using or about to use physical force against an employee, volunteer, or member of a church on church premises in the commission of a violent or sexual crime) and his vote in favor of increasing cigarette taxes. The Vice-President takes on the occasion to mobilize conservative turnout at its highest possible number to get Wes Allen elected at the House of Representatives to defend Alabama values.

-VP Rubio campaigns for Blake Filippi in Providence, in RI-at-large district (see at page 9).

-VP Rubio campaigns for Richard A. Smith in CT-05, praising Smith’s championship of tax reform, gun rights and his pledge to combat the Opioid Crisis.

-VP Rubio campaigns for Nancy Mace in SC-01, reminding voters that the American people wants the Congress to get things done and is tired of partisanship, thus taking on that occasion to warn voters that a vote for Joe Cunningham is a vote for a do-nothing Congress as Cunningham has already voted in favor of impeaching President Trump in 2019 and will certainly do it again if he is sent back to the House of Representatives. By contrast, he praised Nancy Mace’s record of getting things done for the good of South Carolina, including her vote in favor of establishing the State Department of Veterans Affairs. He also touted Mace’s pro-life beliefs due to her vote to prohibit abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected as well as her economic credentials as she worked as a businesswoman as she started a small consulting business named The Mace Group that provides public relations, marketing and web services to clients in a variety of industries in addition of having served as Vice Chair of The Citadel School of Business Advisory Board (which is why voters from SC-01 can count on her to keep their taxes low for the sake of a strong economy). He reminded voters that Mace also served as Vice Chair on the National Board of Directors for the Medal of Honor Bowl, which qualifies her to support veterans to provide them decent post-military careers.

VP Marco Rubio's Super Tuesday Victory Speech in New York City, New York
Own creation

Thank you! Thank you so very much, my friends for this night. Thank you New York, California, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia.

[Crowd applauds]

Tonight is a great victory for our campaign and for America. Throughout history, whoever won most of the Super Tuesday states has went on to become the eventual Republican nominee. Tonight we won 9 of the 15 Super Tuesday contests and won the biggest prize contests : New York, California and Texas. And thanks to those victories, we reinforced our status as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for President of the United States.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We're not taking anything for granted. So let's build upon the momentum you have given us tonight and and we will court every voice across this nation because that is how democracy works.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Even though we would have wished to keep all of our House seats in tonight's special elections, Blake Filippi's victory in RI-at-large district allowed us to make a House gain and to maintain our majority in the House of Representatives and it shows that our party is competitive again in New England blue states and shows how much Republican leadership and ideas are working across this great country, including in Rhode Island. Next month, we'll have another opportunity to reinforce our majority in the House of Representatives through the special election scheduled in CA-25 and I promise you that we're going to invest all of our efforts to win this seat and ensure the addition of a vote in favor of American prosperity through lower taxes, of the protection of the Constitution and of America's strength and security through a strong military and to keep moving our country forward.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Tonight is about hope, unity and greatness. Tonight is about how to make sure that our children and grandchildren will be the most prosperous and freest generations of Americans that ever lived and about how to pursue the progress of the last 8 years. That requires lower taxes, small government, taking advantage of our sources of energy, championing free trade and encouraging the development of new infrastructures which gave us the strongest economy in modern history with the lowest unemployment rate in more than 50 years and we're going to pursue that progress by cutting taxes for all Americans, getting our country to energy independence, encouraging free trade and fiscal discipline. And it also requires keeping our military strong, modernizing it, strong alliances and the promotion American leadership for the sake of peace through strength. And I have the right experience, background and agenda to get us there. As U.S. Senator, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, as a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States I know how to get things done to move this country and that is exactly what the American people wants us to do. I'm proud to have passed those tough sanctions on Hezbollah, on Maduro's Venezuela, as well as my sponsored VA reform law in 2014, the Girls Count Act to fight human trafficking, the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act that required the Small Business Administration to lead every year a study of the total cost of regulations on small businesses and the Let Freedom Reign Act that provided the people of Venezuela the necessary support and arsenal to defeat Maduro's tyranny and successfully orchestrate their country's path to freedom, democracy and integrity. I'm proud to have helped President Trump to pass the largest tax cuts in the history of our country by leading the effort to double the child tax credit from $1000 to $2000, thus making those tax cuts permanent and even broader, which is how those tax cuts are benefiting the American people and American hard-working families and is strengthening America's status as the best place in the world to do business. And as Vice-President, I am proud to have helped President Trump to provide the economic prosperity that our country is now living, to secure our borders, to defeat ISIS and to get the world to the denuclearization of Iran and North Korea. And under my presidency, we're going to do more to pursue America's progress by advocating tax reform, small government and free enterprise to further expand prosperity, by standing with our allies to defeat Boko Haram and make Operation Ceasefire successful, normalizing our relations with Russia if Sergei Polonsky is elected President next month in the next few weeks (either on March 17 or on April 7 if a second round is necessitated in Russia) for the sake of global peace and the respect of freedom and human rights, by ratifying the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty and by preserving America's status as the leader in space exploration through the establishment of a manned lunar base by 2028 to give us a springboard to missions to the Moon and Mars, thus ensuring the accomplishment of our goal to send a crewed mission to Mars by 2030. That's how we're going to preserve and even strengthen America's status as the greatest nation in the history of all of mankind by getting us to permanent economic prosperity, to permanent protection of our freedom and constitutional rights and to long-term global peace and security.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

And in that process, we are now more than halfway from reaching the delegate threshold to win this nomination. That's why I ask for your support as we'll be on to Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Louisiana, Michigan, Idaho, Hawaii, Missouri and Mississippi in order to get us to the finish line, to bring our party together and to start the general election campaign to promote opportunity for all, to continue America's progress to preserve, protect and defend our country's freedom and to expand America's promise and the American Dream.

Thank you! God bless you all and God bless the United States of America!

America’s education system is among the best ones in the world. And here’s what to be done in order to make it even better and make sure that our children will have the tools they need to succeed in the best schools in the world. Under my education plan, we’re going to authorize tax breaks for individuals and companies that donate to school scholarship funds or help parents who home-school their children, which will expand elementary, secondary, and vocational education opportunities for students. It will also provide training for postsecondary students and workers seeking to gain new skills and advance their career through career and technical education, apprenticeships, certifications and other forms of workforce training. States will be able to opt into the program and be responsible for choosing which schools can receive the funding. School choice will keep reducing the costs for families to ensure their children's access to education and produced higher outcomes compared to public education. It will grant parents the power to orientate their children out of poorly-performing schools assigned by zip code and look for better education elsewhere, which will expand opportunities for low-income students to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to higher-income families, thus increasing their chances of success and of entry into the workforce. That is the best way to guarantee that our children will have all the necessary tools to graduate, to succeed and to get a decent job, thus helping our country to create the jobs of tomorrow. That’s why I need your vote to make sure that every child will earn the chance to learn and that every school will teach, thus making your children’s future bright.

The Vice-President takes on the occasion to reiterate his record and his plan to fight the Opioid Crisis and keep America safe.

When tariffs are applied, the American people lose because it is another form of taxes. It decreases America's competitiveness in the world economy and it is an obstacle to our country's prosperity. Tariffs gave us the Great Depression (referring to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act) and helped lead to World War II (as the devastating effects of the Great Depression on the international economy helped Hitler in his rise to power in Germany) and brought about 60 million people losing their lives as a result of it.

Fortunately, thanks to the successful renegotiation of NAFTA by President Trump and to the ratification of the USMCA, which I voted for in the U.S. Senate, we turned things around : this new deal boosted auto manufacturing by requiring 75% of a vehicle's parts to be made in one of the 3 signatory countries in order to remain free from tariffs when moving between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, by strengthening labor laws, by keeping tariffs at zero while further opening up the Canadian market to US dairy, poultry and eggs and allowing more Canadian dairy, peanuts and peanut products to cross the border. As a result, we added 76 000 auto jobs in the last 5 years, increased exports and imports and strengthened our competitiveness in the world economy, contributing to the strong economic prosperity America is now living through the creation of 7 million jobs, including 500 000 in the manufacturing sector, and brought our unemployment rate in the lowest rate in 50 years. And under my presidency, we're going to keep championing free trade for the sake of our competitiveness in the world economy and our prosperity. We're going to trade with our allies in the Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Europe, thus counter-balancing China's trade power and ensuring strong job creation by lowering tariffs, increasing exports and imports, reducing the cost of trading, allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. The reason why we were losing jobs because of the deals under the Obama administration is that we had the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world (40 % and has, fortunately, been reduced to 21 % under Trump) while Singapore had the lowest (17 %) which is why they are prospering and have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world. That's why we'll reduce our corporate tax rate to 15 % to make America the best place in the world to do business taxes for all businesses across the country, including manufacturing businesses, in order to make it easy for them to do business in America. That way, we will protect the interests of the our manufacturing workers while promoting free trade at the same time. And by the way, the reason of Mexico's advantage over us in terms of auto manufacturing was because Mexico had free trade agreements with 45 countries while the U.S. had free trade deals with only 20 countries. So if we expand free trade with our allies, friends and partners across the globe, we will reinforce auto manufacturing and make America number one again in auto production. I know how to get us there. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I know what it takes to keep this economy growing and as Vice-President I know what it is to negotiate to decent deals with foreign leaders because that's what I did in order to get things done as I traveled with President Trump around the world. If you want a proven leader who knows how to get us to such a competitive, dynamic and soaring economy for the sake of permanent prosperity, I ask you to join my crusade to grant opportunity for all.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Under the Obama Administration, the War on Coal has drastically gut our energy industry through regulations on America's coal industry, shipping coal mining jobs overseas, including to China where regulations on coal are lower, which deprived hard-working families of their access to heat as coal is the source of power to 20 million homes. As a result, America lost 25 000 coal jobs. But everything has changed when Donald Trump was elected : he abolished the War on Coal and promoted clean coal technologies, which brought coal mining jobs back here in America and encouraged job creation here in the United States. He also approved the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, facilitating oil transportation and production, and approved ANWR to oil drilling, making great steps towards our country's path to energy independence. Here's what's needs to be done in order to accomplish that path : encouraging oil drilling as well as permits and liscenses on federal lands, favoring the exploitation and production of renewable energies (wind, solar, hydroelectric, nuclear, geothermal, etc.) through the investment of a part of revenues from oil drilling into it and through tax credits. And thanks to my plan to build 40 new nuclear power plants by 2050 through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for building new nuclear power plants will not only favor job creation and a clean environment at the same time but also boost nuclear energy production at the point of making America the world's leader in nuclear energy export over Russia and China, thus reducing our dependence from foreign suppliers and foreign nuclear power and securing America's energy independence, an accomplishment that will also deprive radical Islamic terrorists and other anti-American forces (notably Boko Haram, Turkey and Vladimir Putin's Russia) of revenues from our energy dependence to fund any activities threatening America's national security, thus keeping America safe and prosperous.

As Vice-President of the United States and as a candidate for the highest office in the world, I solemnly condemn the defamatory and outrageous comments by Recep Tayip Erdogan claiming that President Trump is a servant of evil. That is a total contrast from the truth. President Trump as well as all America have always been and will always be fighting on the side of good. That's why we defeated the evil represented by ISIS that was burning people in cages, beheading people, depriving people of their freedom of religion through genocide of the Kurds and attacked our liberty time and again for the values we believe in, which are gender equity, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, etc. Throughout history, America has always stood in the side of good against the evil represented by tyranny, oppression and terror and that's why we, along with our allies, delivered Europe from Germany's occupation during the 2 world wars and freed the Jews from Nazi persecution because Adolf Hitler was evil. This is why we stood up to the Japanese Empire and liberated the Pacific. That's why we stood up to the Soviet Union and communism and fought it all around the world during the Cold War because this was the Evil Empire. When Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait and occupied it, we and our allies intervened and liberated this small country. After we were attacked by Al Qaeda on 9/11, we and our allies worked together to fight the evil represented by radical Islamic terrorism and to all the state-sponsors of terrorism who were forming the Axis of Evil.

Meanwhile, Erdogan is actually the servant of evil. In effect, he is still denying the Armenian Genocide that is unanimously recognized by the rest of the world, including the United States. Despite the fact that the Kurds played an important role in defeating ISIS as we armed them and provided them military training, Erdogan's Turkey is still pursuing their war with the Kurds and wants to destroy them. Erdogan is none other than a terrorist who is slaying and arresting his own people for speaking up and protesting and made Turkey a state-sponsor of global terrorism. Under Erdogan's leadership, Turkey supported radical Islamic terrorist groups like al-Nusra (the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda) and Ahrar al-Sham. The moreover that in 2014, the Turkish government had stamped passports of foreigners seeking to cross the Turkey-Syria border and join ISIL.

And President Trump and all America have always and will always stand on the side of good for the sake of freedom, democracy, security, stability and integrity around the world. And that is why we will prevail. And thanks to my foreign policy experience and credentials, we will prevail. The best way to get us there is to impose an embargo on Turkish oil to weaken their economy as oil is a basic pillar of the Turkish economy and to aweaken their military power as their military, like every modern military, mostly function through oil, which will help our allies to defeat the Turkish troops; to sanction weaponry supplies to Turkey; to get our Greek allies to deploy some of their warships from Constantinople to the Black Sea in order to intercept any Russian ship attempting to provide weaponry to Turkey, thus depriving Turkey of any war effort; to provide the Kurds in weaponry; and to convince India to involve in weaponry provision, military training and intelligence support for the Kurds due to India’s membership in the Tehran Pact and due to Turkey’s support to Pakistan and to the terrorist organizations state-sponsored by Pakistan, thus helping the Coalition forces to overpower Turkish troops thanks contributions from the 4th military power in the world and to counter the power of Russian and Chinese troops present in Turkey. That's what I'm going to do as President of the United States and that's how we're going to defeat Turkey in Operation Ceasefire, to get Erdogan to the negotiating table and to lead to the recognition of Kurdistan's independence by Turkey for the sake of freedom, justice, stability and integrity in the Middle East. Why? Because we fight on the side of good.

Today is a great day for our Constitution and our freedom through the nomination of conservative judges. President Trump nominated former Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval for Supreme Court Justice. Governor Sandoval is one of the most qualified people for SCOTUS I've ever met : he is a constitutional conservative who is openly pro-life due to his opposition to federal abortion funding and his fight to protect the life of the unborn. He is an opponent of restrictions on the right to bear arms and a supporter of the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense when your life or your loved ones' lives are in danger. He believes in states' powers and in a free-market health care system like President Trump gave us by repealing and replacing Obamacare. Sandoval also served as Nevada Attorney General and under his tenure, he developed Nevada's first Public Integrity Unit and sponsored legislation strengthening Nevada's laws against domestic violence, drug abuse and human trafficking. He was also the chairman and a member of several state boards and commissions, including the Nevada Boards of Pardons, Prisons, Transportation, and Examiners; the Cyber-Crime Task Force; the Committee on Domestic Violence, and the Prosecutorial Advisory Council. So he knows what it takes to defend your constitutional rights at the Supreme Court. Right now the Democrats in the Senate, including Jeff Merkley and Tammy Duckworth, have stated full intention to fillibuster Sandoval's nomination, no wonder that they want to diminish your Second Amendment rights by writing them out of the Bill of Rights; that they want to tolerate abortions in every case; that they want to grant Guantanamo terrorists with constitutional rights while these terrorists are not U.S. citizens and they committed terrorist attacks against the United States and our allies, killing tens of thousands of people around the world; and nominate liberal justices who will advocate the closing of Guantanamo Bay, which will undermine our national security by allowing dangerous terrorists to seize any opportunity to escape, to be on the run once again and to commit terrorist attacks against the United States or their allies. Here is an important example of this matter of fact. After being detained in Guantanamo for terrorist activities, Said Ali al-Shiri, an Al-Qaeda jihadist, was released in 2007. After that, he returned to terrorism, co-founded the radical Islamic terrorist organization called Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in addition of calling upon Somali pirates to increase their attacks on western shipping and leading the Al-Qaeda insurgency in Yemen, killing thousands of people before being killed by a U.S. drone.

So in order to defend our country's constitutional rights, I'm proud to support Brian Sandoval's SCOTUS and as President of the Senate, I will not let the Democrats put your freedom under siege through strict gun control laws and tolerance of abortion. If necessary, I will cast the 51st vote needed to approve Sandoval's nomination in the case of a 50-50 deadlock senate vote and as President I will keep nominating constitutional conservatives at the Supreme Court to make the defense of your constitutional rights permanent and ensure the protection of America's freedom.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Own creation
I am proud to be a Republican. Throughout its history, the Republican Party has gained a reputation as a party of freedom.

We abolished slavery after a civil war, successfully fought to abolish Jim Crow laws, and by reinforcing our military we went on to win the Cold War. After 9/11, we took offense against terrorism, we restored freedom and democracy in Iraq as well as in Afghanistan and Venezuela, we defeated ISIS, we successfully got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran thanks to strong American leadership. We are defenders of free enterprise and of the Constitution of the United States and this country is on its path to elect Marco Rubio as the first Hispanic to serve as President of the United States of America.

In my entire adult life, I defended these values whether it's as a combat pilot, as a businessman or as a  U.S. senator. After 9/11, we made it clear that we would never surrender to terrorism and that together we will triumph against this evil called radical Islamic terrorism. It was with great honor that I engaged in the U.S. Air Force in Iraq when I went on to serve with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom where I earned a Combat Action Badge (CAB) and two Air Medals, among other awards, while logging 753.8 flight hours in theater leading two Apache platoons. And Marco Rubio has a decent and clear record in terms of taking care of American veterans like myself as he successfully co-sponsored the 2014 VA reform law by introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats because it's another way to reward our veterans for their military service and their sacrifices for America. Under President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, we passed the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 after the withdrawal of our troops from Syria and Iraq in 2021, which made the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans. As President, use a part of future budget surpluses in the development of new social security and job training programs for our veterans to make sure they will earn the best post-military service they can ever imagine. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, Marco Rubio has the best foreign policy experience to defend all the values that we cherish and which our soldiers fought and/or died for : freedom, democracy, gender equity, freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion. That's how he helped President Trump to defeat ISIS and denucleariza North Korea and Iran. As President, he will normalize our relations with Russia if Sergei Polonsky is elected President of Russia next week or next month for the sake of better relations with Russia to get America and Russia working together for the respect of human rights, territorial integrity, freedom and stability in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He will defeat Boko Haram by keeping our military strong and modernizing it and standing with our Western African allies through the provision of military training and arsenal to get them to take on the responsibility of their own security. That will also be done through drone airstrikes on Boko Haram's controlled oil refineries to deprive them of revenues from their oil drilling activities to fund their war effort and their plans of terrorist attacks. That way, we will defeat our enemies without needing to send additional troops in Africa and through lower cost, keep America safe and strong and guarantee a stabilized global peace through strength thanks to the preservation of American leadership. Marco Rubio will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material for the building of nuclear weapons or WMDs, thus securing our path to strong global peace and preventing any nuclear war.

After I came back home from my military service in Iraq, I became a businessman as well as the CEO of my family's business James Group International, a supply chain business that has the mission to manage and optimize its customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes by designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. I understand that America's economic strength comes from the promotion of free enterprise and free market, low taxes, small government, energy independence, free trade and reinforcement of America's status as the best place in the world to do business. Marco Rubio served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He knows perfectly what it takes to keep this economy growing and encourage job creation. No wonder that in 2017, he led the effort to double the child tax credit to $2000, making the Trump tax cuts even broader and permanent, which gave America the strongest economy in modern history through the creation of 7 million new jobs and the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years. As President of the United States, Marco Rubio will preserve America's status as the best business-friendly environment in the world. He will reduce taxes for all Americans, including the middle class, as well as the cost of doing business in America. He will get us to energy independence by encouraging our country to produce and exploit its own sources of energy (oil, gas, coal, nuclear, solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, etc.) and to take advantage of them. He'll promote school choice to grant parents the liberty to chose the decent schools for their children, ensuring decent careers for our children and grandchildren and guaranteeing the creation of the jobs of tomorrow. He'll balance the budget by reducing wasteful spending and encouraging fiscal discipline. And by promoting pulic/private partnerships, he will encourage the development of new infrastructures to encourage economic activities and the implantation of new businesses here in this country without increasing big government spending. This bright future will be possible thanks to the promotion of free enterprise, free market and pro-businesses policies. That is the contrast of the Tammy Duckworth's and Jeff Merkley's agenda that promotes higher taxes and regulations, higher government spending, weaker competitiveness in the world economy and punishes success. But Marco Rubio knows that in a democratic free market nation like America, we celebrate success. That's why he deserves our support and our vote in order to make sure we'll persist in our fight for freedom by winning our fight against terrorism, to get the world to permanent global peace, to get our country to full employment, to defend the Constitution and our democracy. We the people of the United States of America, stand for freedom and that's why we stand with Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States of America.

Thank you. God bless you. God bless Michigan and God bless the United States.

Marco Rubio's Speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference

Location : National Harbor, Maryland

Own creation

Hello. Good evening, my fellow conservatives, fellow Republicans and fellow Americans.

Tonight, I’m here at the Conservative Political Action Conference to discuss my vision of conservatism. Conservatism is the ideology of freedom.

Throughout the history of this country, our party has earned a reputation as a party of freedom. During a time in which America was divided by the slavery issue, our party, the Republican Party, was founded based on an anti-slavery agenda. And it was during the Civil War that Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President, has abolished slavery, thus ensuring that all the American people can enjoy freedom and justice. We, Republicans, fought hard to abolish the shameful Jim Crow laws that were enacted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by white Democratic-dominated state legislatures after the Reconstruction period and that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States. Because our purpose is to make sure that the American Dream can reach all the American people.

Sixty-eight years ago, my parents came to this country prior to the rise of Fidel Castro. They were living paycheck to paycheck, but the hardworking of a bartender and a housekeeper helped them to succeed in this new society and to raise their children. As the son of Cuban immigrants, I know what it looks like to lose the gift of freedom and that is why it has always been my family's purpose and my purpose to make sure that the next generation will be better off than the previous ones and that requires defending the values and freedom that our country offers. And time and again, conservatism has proven to be the right answer to our challenges and to our quest to preserve America's status as the greatest nation in the history of mankind.

Conservatism is the ideology championing freedom of religion that supports the freedom of an individual or community, in public or private, to manifest religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship, and observance. It also includes the freedom to change one's religion or beliefs.

Conservatism is the ideology that believes in the freedom to self defense through the unviolable right to wear a fireweapon to protect your life and/or the life of your loved ones when those lives are in danger. While our political opponents want to restrict America's Second Amendment rights, we have to understand that the right solution to combat gun violence is to allow the Attorney General to block the transfer of firearms to suspected criminals and terrorists.

Conservatism is also the ideology that believes in the right for every human being, born or not, to live, to earn the priviledge of life. We need to be a pro-life party, we need to say life is precious. I believe that every single human being is entitled to the protection of our laws, whether they can vote or not. Whether they can speak or not. Whether they can hire a lawyer or not. Whether they have a birth certificate or not. And I think future generations will look back at this history of our country and call us barbarians for murdering millions of babies who we never gave them a chance to live. I believe one of the fundamental rights that God gave to us is the right to live. That's why I proposed to put in place the Human Life Amendment in order to prohibit abortion. That way, every human life will be protected by the Constitution of the United States. That way, we will lead our country to appreciate life and we will make sure that we will give to every American the priviledge to experience opportunity and to live the American Dream.

While our political opponents want to restrict all the rights I mentioned earlier, President Trump gave us the most conservative Supreme Court of the United States by nominating conservative judges who are advocating the defense of the Second Amendment, of the freedom of religion, of the freedom of speech, of the freedom of the press, of the life of the unborn and of secured and strong borders (which finally kept America safe and brought illegal immigration under control).

We, conservatives, believe in school choice that gives parents the freedom to chose where their children go to school. This freedom reduces the costs for families to ensure their children's access to education and produced higher outcomes compared to public education. It grants parents power to orientate their children out of poorly-performing schools assigned by zip code and look for better education elsewhere, which expands opportunities for low-income students to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to higher-income families, increasing their chances of success and of entry into the workforce.

Conservatism is the ideology of prosperity through capitalism, free enterprise, free market, free trade, small government, tax reform and fiscal discipline. We are the party that believes in the freedom to do business. The best way to ensure economic growth and job creation is to make America the best place in the world to do business and that is exactly what President Trump and I are doing. That's why I'm proud to have led the effort to double the Child Tax Credit to make the Trump tax cuts permanent and even broader, thus resulting to the strong economic prosperity that America is now living through the creation of 7 million new jobs and through the lowest unemployment rate in more than 50 years. The moreover that these tax-cut and free enterprise policies brought the Hispanic unemployment rate and the African-American unemployment rate at their lowest rates ever. Those results have also been made possible through my leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship that led the way passing legislation reducing taxes and regulations on small businesses that create 70 percent of the jobs in America, thus reinforcing their competitiveness, productivity and ability to create jobs. These results have also been made possible by putting forward policies encouraging energy production and exploitation by abolishing the War on Coal and approving constructions of the Keystone XL pipeline and Dakota Access pipeline as well as oil drilling in ANWR, thus making major progress in our process to get America to energy independence, accomplishments that will also deprive radical Islamic terrorists and other anti-American forces (notably Boko Haram, Turkey and Vladimir Putin's Russia) of revenues from our energy dependence to fund any activities threatening America's national security, thus keeping America safe; free and prosperous. Our country's prosperity has also been made possible thanks to the promotion of free trade. In effect, thanks to the successful renegotiation of NAFTA by President Trump and to the ratification of the USMCA, which I voted for in the U.S. Senate as a champion of free trade and of America's economic competitiveness, we turned things around:this new deal boosted auto manufacturing by requiring 75% of a vehicle's parts to be made within one of the three signatory countries in order to remain free from tariffs when moving between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, by strengthening labor laws, by keeping tariffs at zero while further opening up the Canadian market to US dairy, poultry and eggs and allowing more Canadian dairy, peanuts and peanut products to cross the border. As a result we added 76 000 auto jobs in the last 5 years, increased exports and imports and strengthened our competitiveness in the world economy. Now, the Democrats want the American people to believe that we have debt and deficit because of tax cuts. The reason we have deficit and debt is because Congress keeps spending and that’s why we need to stop out-of-control spending, we need term limits in Congress, we need to pass a balanced budget amendment, veto bridge-to-nowhere projects, veto earmarks and encourage fiscal discipline and responsibility in order to reduce government spending and balance the budget and to bring our deficit and our debt under control.

And finally, conservatism is the ideology that believes in strong American leadership and that the world is a safer place when America is the strongest military power in the world. After a time of crisis marked by a hostage crisis in Iran, by the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and by an arms race between the United States and the USSR, Ronald Reagan rebuilt our military and strengthened our diplomacy, thus taking the advantage over the Soviets at the point of leading America to victory in the Cold War. After 9/11, the deadliest terrorist attack that America has ever suffered in its history, we made it clear that we would not surrender to terror and that we will always defend our values, our freedom and our democracy and so we took offense against terrorism, we restored freedom and democracy in Iraq as well as in Afghanistan and we defeated Al Qaeda. After 8 years of weakness by the Obama Administration that weakened our military and our alliances, which resulted to a rise of ISIS and multiple terrorist attacks against us and our allies within a year, it was clear that the world needed American leadership more than ever. That's exactly what President Trump and I brought as our administration rebuilt, strengthened and modernized our military and expanded our alliances, which helped us to defeat ISIS and to denuclearize North Korea and Iran where I led the 2021 diplomatic trip that contributed to normalization of the US-Iran relations through getting Arsham Parsi's Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism due to Arsham Parsi's friendliness with the United States of America, thus allowing us to make a great step towards global peace.

And that's why conservatism is the ideology of freedom and I'm proud to be a constitutional conservative Republican because I believe in those values. These are all values, ideas and policies that helped America to preserve and even expand its freedom, prosperity and security. And as long as we defend and promote those values, we're going to make sure that our children and grandchildren will inherit the single greatest nation in the history of the Earth and will be the most proseperous generation of Americans that ever lived and will be able to accomplish all the things that previous generations couldn't have done.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.
