Horrible translation. In the Latin version, the Bible clearly says "deus", not "dea". Period.
As a good Protestant, I couldn't care less about the Latin translation from the original.
But it was a Protestant who translated the Bible into a modern language. 
Yes, from Greek and Hebrew, not Latin.
But the Greek version still says θεός, and not θεά.
II Samuel wasn't originally written in Greek, either. The word you're looking for is אֱלֹהִים .
Actually, the division of Samuel into two books can be traced to the Septuagint, so while I get what you meant and agree with it, from a certain point of view
