Here is mine:

General Legal Immigration Policy:

- Pass the Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants act

- Transition to a Merit Based System without changing the cap

- Give Kids of H1B visa holders who have been here for 5 or more years permanent residency once they turn 21 even if their parents are not yet permanent residents

- Keep the Trump rule on Welfare and Immigration

- Make Refugees have to apply the way others to do receive permanent residence (though they are allowed to stay in the US as long as it takes until the conflict in the nation they came from goes away). Once again refugees who were brought here by kids should be granted permanent residency  they spent a certain amount of time here and they turned 21.

Border Security :

- Sanction employers who hire illegal immigrants in the first place, and increase the penalties for repeat offenders

- Making it significantly harder for illegal immigrants to use any public resources. Obvious exceptions include emergencies and schooling

- Allocate around 25 billion dollars from the defense budget to border security which could mean enacting a wall in some areas, in some areas adding more border patrol and using high tech solutions in general. Obviously you would do this through legislative means though , not executive

- Allocate more funding to increase amount of  Immigration judges to speeden up deportation processes

What to do about Illegal Immigrants who are already here:

- For Illegal Immigrants who have been here since they were kids: Offer them a pathway to citizenship

- For Illegal Immigrants who have been here for 5 or more years: Offer them a  pathway to becoming permanent residents but bar them from ever becoming citizens

- For Illegal Immigrants who have been here for less than 5 years but more than 1: Offer them a temporary non renewable visa(Lasts Less than 6 months), Which gives them time to sort out their affairs here but once that visa expire , make it clear they have to leave or face deportation(and the ones who have to get deported get barred from applying to come back in for a certain amount of tims, while the ones who leave once their visas expire can apply immediately)

-For Illegal Immigrants who have been here for less than a year or have committed crimes while being here: Deportation

That should be a boon for swimming instructors in Sonora.

Why not? Why just not make it merit-based (solid job, no criminal record etc.) instead of saying none of them can ever get it?

Tough but correct and humane... Too much immigration doesn't help, too less immigration hurts the economy. I'm center-right to right-wing on immigration.

I think only people who came here legally should be allowed to become citizens . I make an exception for the kids because it wasn’t their fault they came illegally

The absolute mlst important thing is raising the cap. We need more immigrants as fast as possible. Obviously, open borders is my end goal, but raising the cap to 2 or 3 million people per year is healthy middle ground.

Would you support then a merit based system to decide the 2 to 3 million per year

Treating people like human beings is generally a good idea, though that seems like a pretty hot take on this topic, these days.
