The counties in SD, MT, and ID aren't perfect because the boundaries used to be very different.

Didn't Perot tie Morris County, Kansas, with H.W. Bush in 1992? I think you missed that on your map.

Correct, but it also voted for TR in 1912 or maybe La Follette in 1924.  Boyd County, Nebraska tied in 1912 but voted for La Follette in 1924.  Holt County, Nebraska, which tied for La Follette in 1924, has  never seen a third party candidate do better than a tie.

I see now. Well at any rate, this is a good map.
