The first Politics Tonight with Chris Matthews will be up tonight.

In the meantime, discuss the following question:

Who do you believe to be the frontrunner for the Republican nomination?  Democratic nomination?

Republican will be between Lucas and Tiller, the hardcore Republicans.  As for the Democrats, a clear victory for Marcham is forseeable...

I think Lucas will rise up and win it. But if she don't I might be voting for Marcham. For the democrats Marcham has it in the bag!

No Marcham!  No Marcham!  I'd vote for Christopher Scott over him in a heartbeat.

Update tonight.  I apologize for the brief delay.  This update will discuss campaigning in Iowa, as well as other states.  New poll numbers will be included, as well as statements regarding the strategy of various candidates.

Very good job, so far, Yates!! Smiley You're very good with words! Grin

I think it's a good idea for Gonzalez to shift his resources to New Hampshire, because New Hampshire is more libertarian-friendly than Iowa, where he doing surprisingly well for his ideology. Smiley

i think the results suggest that D's are voting in the R poll and vice versa. Maybe it would've been better to have one poll in which you could only vote for one candidate?

Thank you for your suggestion.  However, this is not what will determine the final result.  After all candidate interviews and the debates are finished, which should be within two or three weeks, I will have each person send me a private message.  In that message, they will vote for two candidates in their own party.  I will count the votes for each candidate, and will not announce the winner.  The winner will become apparent later in the primary season.

So, since I'm a Libertarian should I vote in the Republican Primaries because I side with them a little more than I side with the Democrats, or should I vote in the Democratic Primaries because my favorite candidate in this race is a Democrat?

There might be a libertarian candidate in the general election, for your information.

As for the primary, readers must register to vote in one party's primary a few days before the vote.  You will be able to select the party that you feel the closest to, or that your favorite candidate is in.  It is up to you.

Everyone, I am going to put up an endorsement tracking list for the Republicans and the Democrats.  It will show notable, major endorsements that each candidate has, for your information.  I will continuously update the list.

I'm leaning quite strongly towards Landis though I like some of the Kennicks endorsements.  I am quite surprised by some of them such as Feingold and Mikulski.

With Feingold, it was mainly a Midwestern thing.  Kennicks and Feingold are from two neighboring states.  Mikulski was one of those who believed Kennicks would be the consensus, traditional liberal frontrunner, and rallied behind him.

I would back either candidate as a consensus.  I do not want Marcham for he is as good as a Republican.
