Why did the Northwest Iowa Dutch Reformed, the Duggars, etc., vote for Cruz instead of voting for Huckabee, who actually was a Minister and who they supported in 2008, or Santorum, who they supported in 2012?

Cruz stole the spotlight from them and by 2016 we weren't hearing much about Huckabee or Santorum.
