thefactor actually comes from Maryland (though whether Maryland actually belongs to the South is debatable), and is more moderate than he is liberal, not unlike Ben and Virginian87.

Actually, I'm nowhere near as Conservative on social issues...not even close. I'm probably MORE partisan though, and probably more conservative on military/foreign policy issues than anyone on this forum.

I realize that I have moved to the left economically in the couple years, but so has the GOP.

A little to the left, but overall a fairly moderate and solid Democrat, much more in the realm of southern or Blue Dog Dems than New England-style Dems.
