Right, so this budget uses baseline spending from last year, coupled with any increases from legislation passed this year. If someone could help me with making estimates, it would be much appreciated.

So this only incorporates changes made so and doesn't incorporate any other alterations beyond that represented in recently passed bills?

While perhaps better way of doing, in the past the budget itself was used to make direct changes to fiscal policy. Am I assume that we are moving away from that model towards merely reflecting what is already done in the budget resolutions?

This is a very basic outline for the budget. As I don’t have access to the spreadsheets that the Game Moderators use, I can only estimate revenue and expenditures. I will start calculating adjusted expenditures and get back to you on that.

When this gets to the House, if I am still in office, I will be offering an Amendment designed to avoid the current $7 Billion deficit increase this contains.

It appears that most costs need to be adjusted for inflation; so multiply the values by 1.018 percent I believe? Otherwise we should have all our bases covered.

Uh, don't we need to cost all the bills we have passed over the last year and include them into the budget like we did in Lincoln regionally? Granted many bills probably already have cost estimates but still.

I included them in these numbers. For example, you'll noticed the NASA numbers include the increase from President Griffin's recent increase.

Nay

I do not believe the proper procedured have been used to pass the budget. That is mostly Mr R's fault but still. Without GM intervention and costing each bill this budget is "wet paper" and essencially meaningless

That was the crux of the question I posed earlier about whether this merely reflects stuff that has happened or is actually making changes itself.

The only reason I voted Aye is because the CR is expiring soon.

I concur with Senator Tack.

I appreciate the work put into this, but it would be best to cost out/break down the changes as we had done in Lincoln.

For now: Nay

If we need to pass an additional CR in the meantime, I would approve of that.

As far as the CR goes, it either already expired or never expires, depending on how you interpret it.
