Let's say that Lee heeded Longstreet's advice not to invade Pennsylvania and avoids the Battle of Gettysburg. Instead, ANOVA marches north and cuts off Meade's troops. They push Meade back and he is forced to retreat to D.C. Lee bombards D.C., and this causes Lincoln to escape and move the U.S. government temporarily to Philadelphia, PA. Britain recognizes the CSA and provides military support. After hearing this news, Grant is forced to pull back from Vicksburg and head up north. Grant later surrenders and Lincoln negotiates a peace settlement with the CSA. The Confederate States are granted independence, and the USA cedes all territories. Slavery is kept legal until the 1890s in the South.

I started a list.. so far I have:

1. Jefferson Davis (I-MS) (1861-1868)
2. Robert E. Lee* (D-VA) (1868-1870)
3. James Longstreet* (R-SC) (1870-1880)
4. John C. Pemberton* (D-VA) (1880-1881)
5. John W. Wagner (R-MD) (1881-1892)
6. John H. Reagan (D-TX) (1892-1904)
7. William J. Bryan (D-AZ) (1904-1916)
8. Woodrow Wilson (D-VA) (1917-1923)
9. Huh

Lee and Pemberton died in office. Longstreet changed his party affiliation to GOP after ascending to presidency.

Why would a GOP exist in the CSA? Wouldn’t they be named after a party that isn’t blamed for, well, everything?

Using the same POD as Spark, I came up with this list. The CSA doesn't have MD, AZ, or other states in my scenario, but I liked the POD as to how the CSA actually won the war.

Presidents of the Confederate States.
1861-1867: Jefferson Davis (Democratic-MS) (1)
1867-1870: Robert E. Lee (Independent-VA) (2)*
1870-1873: Braxton Bragg (Independent-NC) (3)
1873-1879: Alexander Stephens (Democratic-GA) (4)
1879-1885: Robert Toombs (Populist-GA) (5)
1885-1891: John Breckenridge (Democratic-KY) (6)
1891-1897: John Reagan (Populist-TX) (7)
1897-1903: John Tyler Morgan (Democratic-MS) (8)
1903-1909: Benjamin Tillman (Populist-SC) (9)
1909-1915: Oscar Underwood (Democratic-AL) (10)
1915-1919: Woodrow Wilson (Populist-VA) (11)*
1919-1921: William G. McAdoo (Populist-TN) (12)
1921-1927: John W. Davis (Democratic-VA) (13)
1927-1933: John N. Garner (Democratic-TX) (14)
1933-1939: Huey Long (Populist-LA) (15)
1939-1945: Cordell Hull (Populist-TN) (16)
1945-1951: Earl Long (Populist-LA) (17)
1951-1957: Strom Thurmond (Democratic-SC) (18)
1957-1963: Lyndon Johnson (Populist-TX) (19)
1963-1969: Strom Thurmond (Democratic-SC) (20)
1969-1975: George Wallace (Populist-AL) (21)
1975-1981: James Carter (Populist-GA) (22)
1981-1987: Howard Baker (Democratic-TN) (23)
1987-1993: Jesse Helms (Democratic-NC) (24)
1993-1999: Bill Clinton (Populist-AR) (25)
1999-2005: Fred Thompson (Democratic-TN) (26)
2005-2009: John Edwards (Populist-NC) (27)***
2009-2011: Bob Graham (Populist-FL) (28)
2011-2017: James DeMint (Democratic-SC) (29)
2017-2023: Roy Moore (Democratic-AL) (30)
*Dies in office.
**Assassinated.
***Impeached.

Democrats are the main conservative/right of center party, the Populists are the traditional left of center/labor party. Slavery ends in the 1870s/1880s due to British and French pressure, but a stronger form of Jim Crow that is closer to OTL Apartheid continues all the way into the 1990s. Even now, race relations are more akin to the way they were in the 1970s then the present, and Roy Moore is elected in 2017 in a landslide over Donna Edwards who was the first ever black nominee for President. MLK Jr. died in prison in 1981 from a heart attack, having been sentenced to life on sham terror charges. The CSA is still a "democracy" in the sense it isn't totalitarian or dominated by any one political figure, but still has a very authoritarian mindset.

I doubt the Confederate States would actually last as a Union past 1895 or so. Even if they won the war  the CSA would have burnt-out cities and a weak currency. Petty rivalries between the states and the government in Richmond would be inevitable, and the bull weevil would kill off King Cotton. Not to mention some states with very different mindsets from the rest of the CSA would probably try to leave (Texas would be the obvious example, though I could also imagine Florida trying to re-join the USA given their relative lack of a slave-based economy and their reliance on trade).
