idk if there is any way to really calculate media bias and i know a lot of ppl think the media was biased against Trump but I actually thought it was more biased against Clinton/third parties but if the media had been totally fair to every candidate I honestly think this would have been the result

thoughts??

I'm not sure how you went about calculating this. How are we defining idea "fairness"? Giving equal time and coverage to people like Gary Johnson as Donald Trump would probably make him perform worse. He's as ignorant as Trump without any of the "charm". Meanwhile, scrutinizing Trump as closely as Clinton definitely benefits Clinton, but to what extent I'm not sure. Perhaps equal coverage fro McMullin could have put him over Clinton, but I don't think he would have gotten higher than Trump, nor would he exceed Clinton in Idaho.

Trump would have won every state decided within 10% plus maybe Oregon.

Without media bias Trump doesn't win the R nomination in the first place. Didn't he win because networks aired a lot of his rallies because he brought in a lot of audience? You could also make an argument for Clinton not winning either but I am not convinced on that one.

Anyways, if we remove the media bias after he gets the nomination, probably nothing changes. At most either Clinton gets a very narrow win (flipping WI, MI and PA) or Trump wins NH on top of what he won. Which are changes of 1 point at most.

Hillary would have won, given that Trump's victory was in part due to the free media he got.

It probably would have been a Clinton vs. some random Republican (Carson? Christie?), which she would have won narrowly.

The media might not have given Rubio all the free attention it gave Trump, but it certainly wasn't unfair to him, since he was pretty consistently viewed as the strongest alternative to Trump until his "moment" in the debate. No way Rubio would've done better with an impartial media; his damage was self-inflicted.

Christie did a smart move on the debate because his ship was sinking and he started to sink Rubio's ship to get on Trump's good graces.
