yeah, right  Wink

for most voters, it's personality.  "which one of these guys would I rather go whoring and drinking with?"

pretty simple, really.  gay is only an issue to the extent that it affect your view of this person as a Regula Guy.  Lots of gay atheists are able to pull off flannel, beer in aluminum cans, and hunting rifles.  (unfortunately for you boys, J. F. Kerry wasn't one of them)

you are a liberal Killerpollo, and a rather immature one at that.  Something like a liberal version of Naso.

I think what he says about gays eliminates him from being a liberal.

still, he's wrong on the account gay=liberal (see Richius)
or that athiest=liberal

This isn't a litmis test for liberal-ness.

True, I'm a heterosexual Christian and I'm probably more liberal than 90% of gays or atheists, including on issues of prudishness and "morality"

For that matter, Richius claims to be a bisexual Canadian vegan conservative.

Also, the only difference between you and "liberal weiners," KillerPollo, is that you are terrified of gay people.

To the Republicans who said no for the first one:

What if it was me vs. Richius?

And to the ones that said no for the second one:

What if it was me vs. KEmperor?

In reality, the chances of either one representing a majority of my views at least socially are slim to none. Economically could go either way, but ultimately it's important to me to have someone in that position (President) who is a fellow person of faith and who I figure shares my values. To me, it's a leadership quality the position more or less demands. Very likely a no vote in both cases.

That's different than saying "I wouldn't vote for them because they are gay/atheist."  I can respect the view you just expressed.

It depends.

If the person's homosexuality or atheism were his/her central attribute, then no.

If a gay or atheist candidate had the right position on the important issues, and was not obsessed with gay rights or destroying religion, then probably.

See, I don't really care if they're gay or athiest. As long as I agree with them politically, it's all good.
