Maybe 50.

Being 50 points "dumber" than an intentionally reknowned engineer is not something to be ashamed of.

What's hilarious is Abdul Kalam can probably speak better English than Bush too. Of course that's not really much of an accomplishment as most of our posters for whom English is a second language are far better at it than Bush is.

A feat to note, Abdul Kalam can probably speak 5-6 languages, be a scholar of Indian history, be able to read Arabic, Sanskrit, English and still be an internationally reknowned engineer at the same time holding 30 honorary degrees.

For a comparable comparison it would be like us having Oppenheimer or Einstein as president.

Einstein was offered the presidency of Israel, but declined.  Maybe he was too smart.

The President of Israel doesn't really do anything. Then again, neither does the Preisdent of India.

I would very surprised if it was more than 40 points, especially on something like the Stanford-Binet test.

Yes, Bush is a dumb.

But keep in mind, power and the wielding of it have little to do with intelligence.  Bush has the right fascistic instincts - enormously puffed up ego, disdain for those beneath him in the social heirarchy, and a wide, wide streak of sadism.

If this guy's a genious he's probably around 160-170, and Bush is probably about 110-120.  So 50 sounds about right.

Whoa, I know Bush is smart, but I doubt he is around 200.  I had no idea your opinion of him was so high.

Probably about 20-30, at most 100.

As I recall, based on his SAT scores Bush would rate around an IQ of 130-135 or so.  Now, how much of that may have been lost from bouts of heavy drinking or downgraded by the flynn effect renorming the IQ table since then is open to interperetation.  (the latter would drop it by about 6-9 points.  The former, who knows).

Einstien had an IQ around 180.  The most brilliant intelectuals in history are typically rated as high as about 220-230.

Of course, the brightest individuals in history cannot compare to our local troll, who boasts an IQ of 300.

Harry is right about Bush's, in fact, I read that Bush received a score in that range, which is quite unsurprising. Discord politically should not precipitate the falsifying denigration of one's intelligence, but rather of specific policy.

First of all, it depends on the test.  If I say I have an IQ of 1001, it sounds impressesive.  If the median is 1000, it isn't.

Here is Stanford-Benet scoring:

Abdul Kalam could be one in 30,000, and maybe be 25 points higher.  I think you all are putting a little too much emphasis on IQ.
