Why in the world would anyone vote B, unless they enjoyed being killed or something?

Well, someone obviously does, because it's already got one vote...

Society A. As I've mentioned, I'm moderate to conservative on the issue of guns.

gimme a break, David S's polls generally aren't that biased.  Although some of them are some what of a strawman situation.  Ex. a situation or a bill in congress that's going around that's so incredibly stupid, that you'd have to be moronic to say you'd support it.

I don't hate libertarians, but it is a coded (biased) question. Its a sad way of looking at humans if you think that guns are the only thing keeping us back from anarchy.

I'm not going to vote because - no offense - it's a dumb question.  Most people who support gun control support it because they think it will lead to less gun-related crimes and accidents.  They don't support it as an end in itself, as if simply by virtue of no one having guns, one society is better off than another.

I voted for Society A, but it will never happen.  Society B would never happen either.

Society A would have much the higher rate of gun deaths.

I voted B because this is a stupid poll.

Of course 'criminality' is caused by the society, not the individual person, primarily by economic oppression but also by social oppression, such as the outlawing of drug use and prostitution.

LOL Come on Gabu. This is a dumb poll but "Would you rather live in a sex-crazed dictatorship ..." is not?

When did I say that?  This doesn't even compare to any of BRTD's polls in terms of stupidity.

I never said Society B would have gun deaths, but neither would Society A.  Society B would have far more murders, since you don't need a gun to murder someone.

The term "gun deaths" includes any deaths caused by a gun, e.g., suicide, accidents, etc.; it does not necessarily have to be murder.

Obviously Society B would have more murders.  I think that Lewis was just being silly with his comment.

I didn't say anything about gun deaths. BTW Guns are not the only weapons for killers.

True.  That I didn't think of before.
