For far too long we’ve had a tight knit relationship with the Saudis: selling arms to them, financing their wars, and sucking up to them in every way possible while in their free time they finance terrorism, trample on women’s and LGBT rights, exploit foreign laborers to build their massive skyscrapers, and bomb innocent civilians in Yemen. This sort of turning a blind eye has to stop and immediate action won’t be taken without drastic steps such as this one. They need us more than we need them.

Is this bill referring to Saudis as terrorists?

With what they’re doing in Yemen I don’t see much reason not to.

Does this bill incorporate the events that occur regarding the Saudis in 2016/2017 in game that were different from IRL?

What differences would those be?

Atlasian-Saudi bilateral relations have been rather important in the past, but with the Kingdom's recent behavior I see this measure as one important to be considered. I also ask the PPT: what differences have there been regarding Saudi Arabia?

I recall a cutting off of relations some time in 2017, or something along those lines. At the very least the policy of the Atlasian Gov't towards the Saudis has been far more hard line then the accommodating approach taken IRL.

In light of the horrific allegations about the mass execution of defenseless citizens in Saudi Arabia, I am hereby ordering an immediate suspension of all foreign aid, including military aid, to Saudi Arabia pending a full investigation into the matter. I am also using my authority to freeze all Saudi assets in Atlasia. We will not stand idly by if Atlasian weapons are being used to butcher the innocent.

I will be appointing a special commission within the next 48 hours to discover the truth or falsity of these monstrous allegations. I will also be calling on the Saudi ambassador to Atlasia to meet and coordinate with this Commission, and provide whatever evidence is necessary to discover the truth. If these allegations are false, full cooperation by the Saudis is a necessity to ensure that their aid is restored and their assets unfrozen. We do not wish to treat an ally unfairly, but we will not contribute to a genocide.

To my knowledge, aid to Saudi Arabia was never restored.
