Taps should have been played the second the "annoying 13 year old" wing of the party was created.

The myth that I had any actual control over the party took hold so much as to become reality, didn't it?
It wasn't control of the party that did it, it was the damage to the reputation of the party done by yourself and, to a lesser extent, benconstine, and several people can back me up on this.

What damage did I do to the PLP?
siding with Xahar, thus giving him more influence.

What, you mean how we voted to ban you from the party? You're not wanted.
Of course he isn't wanted, but he's only banned from holding a leadership position or being endorsed.

Why are you guys so hard on the chap?  I don't really get it. Seriously.

Blame for turning the PLP, one of Atlasia's older political parties, into the electoral equivalent of Chernobyl circa 1987.
I still have to wear one of those nuclear fallout suits every time I'm near the headquarters, which is now inhabited by squatters.

Actually, I'd blame Sensei for that.

No actually Sensei was the Chairman of the party for the largest period of growth in its history.  However once you were elected to VC people started leaving.

My point exactly. I won't go into details at this hour, but I'll just say that you were a part of it.
I did leave the party at a point which it was salvageable, but the reputation of the party was severely damaged and new members were being repelled by the "annoying 13 year old wing" of the party, anchored by Xahar.

I can only think of one instance where that actually happened. And that was BRTD. But when you left, your followers (yes, HappyWarrior, that means you) decided to pick up and leave, for reasons of which I am not entirely clear.
There were people who joined, but left quickly like Speed and Rocky, and countless others who may have considered joining but decided against it.

I've given in and am registering, but I don't know what state I should register from for this.  What region needs a new member the most?  Is DC a state in Atlasia?

Among the party descriptions, the NLC looks like the best fit for me.

The AUB is a new, expanding party and is looking for new members. There is a lot of ideological range in the membership, so anybody would fit right in to things, regardless of ideology. And, yes, you can register in DC.

Join the AUB, our political platform is simple:

1.) We don't endorse Xahar

Generally a good policy.  Not that I have anything against him, but I don't want him holding the levers of power.

And you'd plan on doing what once you achieve that balance?  No, I can't join a nonideological party.  No offense, but I'd almost prefer being independent over that.

Anywhere but the Northeast needs members. DC is currently located in the Mideast and people registered there have all the rights, and voting priveledges, of any other Atlasian.

I hope you do decide to join the NLC, it is an excellent party and we'd be glad to have you.

I think I'll do that.

Now that I'm a concerned citizen/aspiring activist in the Mideast, what can I do?
I'm the governor of the Mideast. Welcome to the region. If you'd like you can introduce regional legislation to be put on the July ballot.
