I saw a few random parties...is the JCP, DA and RPP the only major parties then?"

There is the LNF, but they are more of a satirical party than a major actor.

We have more distinguished Atlasians than any party.

I didn't say you didn't. That may be true and it may not be, but all of your distinguished Atlasians have since become disillusioned with the current game. The LNF is also home to someone who deems it acceptable to post swastikas on the forum and a member that is one of the worst criminals in Atlasian history.

But... we have nachos! Grin

And I would be happy to share the nachos, but I won't be joining your party. Wink

NO LNF

NO NACHOS

I'll have to suffice with Tortilla chips and black bean salsa I guess.

Wow, all this for an election for Lt. Governor of the Pacific.

Xahar apparently got drowned out, but let's not spend 5 pages of the register thread discussing the impact of new member recruiting. There is a general discussion thread now. Just take it there.

It pains me to do this, as I respect many RPPers, but I don't feel welcome in the party anymore.

Welcome Vepres. Great to have another active and committed member join the cause. Make yourself at home in the DA lounge.

What the hell is going on here?!

You guys can't do this when I can't get online, for real. First, the DA is a centrist party. We do not lean left or right. Individual members may, but that is their own agenda. Second, I would have welcomed you to the DA Marokai. We have very liberal members and some very conservative ones. The point isn't ideology, but the end goal.

I welcome the new members to the party. I hope we can work together successfully.

And now the zombies move to other regions in order to give the RPP a better shot at winning in the upcoming regional elections.

Whether you run Smid or Hamilton, you are moving members to the Northeast to vote for whomever you run against Hash.

Of course he just randomly picked the Mideast where the RPP just happens to have a vulnerable senator. DUH!

I really like having RowanBrandon on our side.

It is a beautiful thing. I don't even expect him to be all that centrist, but having a sane conservative voice really is comforting.

Hilarious, RB is a member of the RPP and he is an idiot, but suddenly with a post he's a genius.  I'll admit, the reason I pushed him so hard was because I wanted to piss off the left and show the downfalls of STV voting by inserting the biggest fool we had (JC declined to run of course)

It wasn't that a party change made him smarter. It is that when he was a member of the RPP, he was under considerably more pressure to conform to the strict message of the RPP. Without those sorts of restrictions, he is free to speak freely and make intelligent comments.

I suspect the same would be the case with Hamilton. The attempts to cover up strategic party registration is just becoming sad at this point. I know, from private and some public discussions, that Hamilton is a reasonable guy, but the necessity to conform to the RPP message has hurt his ability to act that way publicly.

You do realize this makes people think you are a joke party right?  If you would elect someone simply to piss others off. hahahaha
Obviously we thought two candidates would get elected, and what better way to prove the flaws of a system we don't like then to elect someone who everyone hates and prove that we could elect a potato if we really wanted to?

One of the significant points of the system is to ensure that every sizable section of Atlasia can get representation. I don't get why you'd think RB's election would cause a stir, nevermind hatred on the left. (At any rate, it's not like you couldn't elect whoever you like to the Southeastern regional seat anyway.)

Not to mention, I have no objection to the RPP having the power to elect a potato. The point is that you are able to elect a person you believe to most accurately reflect your views. Apparently, you used that power incorrectly and, while trying to piss everyone else off, simply shot yourselves in the foot. Perhaps a period of reflection is in order; after all, for someone who is so good at election strategy, you really screwed your party over.

Tbh, the Pacific region is going to be more active now that CK is no longer Governor. The legislature has had some debates recently.

So why did you leave?

Because I wanted to. I happen to like New England states the most really want to beat Hashemite.

No need for strike-out, the two are non-contradictory/mutually exclusive.

I believe the strike-out was because the original statement was irrelevant to the discussion.

Not really. I could've moved anywhere for any reason.

Yes you could have. You moved to the Northeast to win a Senate seat.

Since when am I a candidate? Besides, the easiest route to a Senate seat would be to run in December.

I didn't say win a Senate seat for yourself necessarily.

New RPP/DA Pacific Members! New RPP/DA Pacific Members! Come on...

I wish the RPP could stop taking the DA as a sidekick and just some vote machine for their candidates.

Yes; that's annoying me too.

Me three.four.

I feel like I should sign on to this too. Tongue

Sometimes I think the biggest threat lay not with the enemies in front but to the rear with our own damn people's stupidity.

Does this comment mean that the RPP has become conscious of its own existence? Perhaps now it will begin the much-needed period of introspection and self-reformation.

The RPP isn't changing jacksquat, we will continue to thrive using what we have done for a year.  The RPP doesn't need the DA, if anything the DA needs the RPP.  Its laughable that you guys think you can win a heads up election against the JCP.  Without a joint ticket, the JCP holds the presidency minimum of the next five elections

I would rather the JCP win the next ten elections than associate the DA with the RPP in its current state. And I believe much of the DA (if not all) shares my sentiments.

You mean the RPP that wanted you to win re-election to the senate?

Yes. Your willingness to support me, personally, doesn't change the way you treated other people, the way your party packs votes and recruits, etc. I left elected office in part because the current political climate is atrocious.
