Fantasy elections, ie the Republic of Atlasia. Atlasia is a fantasy country where people can run for President, Senator, or Governor of one of the Five Regions as well as be a cabinet member or a judge. This is where you register with your name, state, and the party that you would like to join. More information can be found here.

By "Conservative" do you mean the Atlasian Conservative Alliance?  There is no party known as the Conservative Party in Atlasia, although you are welcome to start such a party if you so choose.

There is also a Republican Party of Atlasia as well, which you may be unaware of.

Gabu, I used to be a member of the Republican party but now that I am no longer tied to the organzation I am branching off to form my own Conservative Party and urge fellow conservatives who feel the Republican party is too mainstream to join me

Okay, Conservative Party it is, then.  Just making sure I understand what your intentions are.

Good to see you back.  Maybe sooner or later (hopefully sooner) we'll see with an 'R' next to your name. Wink

That may happen.  Smiley

One small question, though, that I invite you (as well as anyone else) to answer: is it required of any prospective Republican that they must be rigidly, ideologically opposed to even the notion of raising taxes?  Because if so, there is no way I will ever join the GOP.  The issue of taxation is not one I attach any ideological or principled importance to.  I am as open to raising taxes as I am to cutting them (or keeping them the same), depending on the circumstances.

I don't think any party leader has demanded regidity on the party positions from members for at least two years now. Parties in Atlasia are really just conglomerations of people that band together to give themselves a name and that's about it. Parties nowadays have very little in the way of actual control, authority, or discisions concerning policy.

Tongue

I should have known that even before I even asked this question, considering I have been here as long as I have.

Sorry, I was thinking of the real-world GOP when I was typing that.
