Liberal and conservative are not opposites, Hashemite.  The opposite of conservative is radical and the opposite of liberal is statist.  I'll grant that in the strange land known as the United States that the statists are strangely called "liberal", but thta's an accident of American political history.  I'm proud to be a liberal conservative, and that's why I founded the Liberal Conservative Party.

According to the Registered Voter Roll, maintained by the SoFA, you are registered as an Independent in New York. It's a fairly reliable source.

Hmm, I re-registered earlier this month, and I'm not listed there.

Gabu hasn't updated it in a long time.

I usually update it once before elections to show who the eligible votes are for that election, and once in between elections just as an update.  I don't see any reason to update it any more frequently than that, other than people's insatiable desire for having it up to date for the sake of having it up to date. Shouldn't the opposite of "liberal" be "servilist", and the opposite of "conservative" "transformist"?

[/quote]No idea who they are. Still, "liberal" derives from "freedom", and "conservative" derives from "keeping as is", hence their opposites would be policies, respectively, of unfreedom and of change as a value in itself.

The opposite of radical is, of course, "superficial". The closest thing to an opposite of statist that I can think of is "acratic", although it really makes no sense to describe any political ideology whatsoever as non-statist since they're all about HOW the state should be run - that's part of the definition really.

I have decided to return to the Republican Party although I am still not happy with the relative inactivity.

Booh. You're too late to vote for me.

Oh well. Welcome anyways. Cheesy Maybe it's time to reintroduce my proposition on the Rechte der deutschsprachigen Minderheit im Mittleren Westen?

Just a note... you can only change your state once every 60 days.  You last changed your state of residence on April 20; as the deadline to register for the election was June 12, you are still counted as residing in Rhode Island for the purposes of the June election.  You will be in California thereafter, however.

I see that my name appears on the registered voter roll, but I was told after my registration that I needed fifty posts. Am I a registered voter, and am I eligible to vote in the federal election?
Thank you.

I'm not sure but I believe that you are on the voter roll but cannot vote until you attain fifty posts or something like look it up in the wiki

According to the Constitution, I would need fifty posts. But according  to the sixth amendment as I read it, I only need twenty-five posts. So I take it I can vote?

Sixth amendment would certainly supercede whatever is posted in the originial constitution

Ah, hell, I always make at least one mistake along the way.

That will be corrected in the official ballot.
