Just 48 % for Kennedy in Minneapolis. Nixon actually won Minneapolis in 1960.

Those are Hennepin County numbers, not Minneapolis.

Kennedy almost certainly won the city of Minneapolis itself (as did McGovern in 1972). Nixon won Hennepin County in both 1960 and 1972 thanks to the Minneapolis suburbs.

Anyway the answer is 51.9% to 47.03% for Nixon.

The breakdown is weird. JFK narrowly won Minneapolis and won the rural areas of Hennepin County by a lot. But he got BTFO bad in the suburbs. Nixon broke 80% in Edina!
