Kenya's population has expanded by nine million in the last decade, provisional 2019 census data released on Monday show.
There are 47,564,296 million people in the country compared to 38,610,097 million in 2009.
https://allafrica.com/stories/201911050167.htmlThe good thing is that Kenya seems to be one of the very few countries in Africa where the rate of population growth is slowing instead of increasing or remaining at 3%.
The annual growth rate between 2009-19 has gone down from 3.0% to 2.1% - whereas other countries such as Madagascar had an increase from 3% to 3.2% over the past 25 years.

provisional results. Usually, they get revised upwards for possible 3-5% undercounts. So, if the figure is revised up to around 50 million, the growth rate is also up by a lot (from 2.1% to 2.6% annually).
