First snow of the 2019/2020 winter season.

It's not snowing down into the valley yet (ca. 700m), but up on ca. 1.000 meters and ca. 1-2 feet on the mountains.

I think it won't take that much more than weeks, maybe days, until there will be snow in the Stuttgart area.

Tuesday to Thursday we are getting a first big dump of snow, even in The Valley and 2-4 feet on the mountains.

A low pressure system is moving into northern Italy and will be responsible.

For the first time in my life, it did not rain in the fall prior to my birthday on the 8th.

It'll be 6F tomorrow in Wisconsin, perhaps around -15F with wind chill, in early November. This bodes well xD.

Last year we didn't have winter here until January, I'll be positive and say spring will come early lol

Hah! Tongue

Yeah, this is crazy cold for this time of year. It both looks and feels like January or February, and it's just the start of November.

Yesterday we got the predicted 1 foot of snow and 3x as much on the mountains.

Today, it cleared up:

The last week has been extremely warm for late December ...

We had Föhn winds pushing the temps to 15-20°C, melting the snow cover away.

Now, it's projected to be wet and rainy with only some wet snow until New Years.

This looks a lot like Winter 2015/16, which also was extremely unnatural (not cold, hardly any snow, wet and rainy).

What we'd need right now is a week of really cold air from the North or Russia (-15°C).

Well, Russia doesn't have your cold air either
