Not when it came to the military interventions of the Clinton presidency, or Obama's efforts against the Syrian and Libyan regimes.

Both of Parties are pro regime change Intervention.
I would say the Republican Party was more pro war from 2001 to 2009.
But in the 90s the most Republicans opposed Clinton's Interventions in Haiti,Somalia & Kosovo.

This is such a ridiculous question. No offense, but try not thinking in black and white for once, darklord.

Absolutely, though...Jimmy Carter aside, it's hardly the case that Democrats are the peace party.

I don't know if they were the "party of war," but I'd say that GOP was more hawkish than Democrats during this period. They tended to favor a more bellicose approach to the Soviet Union during the Cold War, launched quick invasions of Panama and Grenada, and started wars in Afghanistan (which one could reasonably discount as being absolutely necessary after 9/11) and Iraq.

Both parties have a lot of blood on their hands from various overseas conflicts in the last half-century.

The republicans were the varsity war party, and the democrats were the J.V. war party.

It was the same (though way more heterogeneous) between 1865-1910
