Or the whole "Biden is collapsing" is essentially 2015 all over again, when we've been hearing "we're past peak Trump" on a daily basis.

What do you mean? He’s been collapsing since the day he entered the race.

Ask 1972 Democratic nominee Ed Muskie.

Biden's polling average was upwards of 40% just six months ago.

No, the only threat is Pete Buttigieg,  but he cant win in SC, but only have charisma for IA and NH, just like Warren. So, we are back to Warren, Sanders and Buttigieg splitting the progressive vote

Not all at once, but slowly. If he comes in fourth in IA as it appears he might, that may lower enthusiasm for him and put him in 3rd/4th in NH/NV, leading to him probably still winning SC, but by less than he would hope, leading to generally diminishing returns on Super Tuesday and beyond.

If you had asked me a month or two ago or so, I would've said yes, but looking at it right now, it's a definite no.

We all thought Trump was going to collapse. Some of us believed Hillary was going to collapse. I'm not sure Biden would. I think he won't collapse but will have a competitive primary. But as for now i would bet on Biden being the nominee.

I don’t see it coming to fruition with good probability.

I dont think he's going to collapse, but he's at a real risk of getting surpassed if one of his challengers can consolidate support around them.

PPP, gold standard,  just put a poll out showing Warren ahead. This nomination isnt over by far, and Warren may win

Yes, but in the general election, not in the primary.

No creditable candidate, Pete, Warren or Biden will lose to Trump, with WI, MI and Pa having D tilts

Agree I think Biden is likely to lose pretty big in 2020.

We still have a primary. Trump has an approval stuck in mid 40's, and corruption going on. Any Dem that will get nomination can beat Trump

Biden is no longer uncle Biden. He is great grandfather Biden.

Who in here wants to give their great grandfather the helm of this country?

Honestly.

Yes, but in the general election, not in the primary.

This is all too likely at this point, but thankfully there's Bloomberg, Patrick, and Mayor Pete. Hopefully they might siphon off just enough votes to give Warren or Sanders the lead.

Warren is already leading in IA and NH and CA, if Biden loses Cali, regardless of the other primaries, he is finished

He’s consistently polling in 3rd or 4th in Iowa and New Hampshire. His campaign can not survive that
