Freedom country or horrible country? Authoritarian but managed to lift 500 billion people out of poverty and destitution following the disaster of WW2 and the civil war- deserves some credit IMO.

Winnie the Pooh and CPC are terrible. The country itself is ok, but also don't like how they just let everything old and beautiful crumble instead of preserving it because no one cares about/truly owns anything.

The government obviously is anything but "free," but I voted FC because there's a lot more to a country than it's government--I've never thought of China as a horrible country.  It's certainly a very interesting one, and always has been.

plus there were a few disasters after the civil war that you forgot to mention.

Their government sucks but I don't believe any nation of people to be inherently bad and I do find China very interesting in many ways.

Some of their culture maybe alright, but not the part that leads to the extinction of species.  Traditional Chinese Medicine is an underappreciated evil.

I voted HC, more in the sense of a terrible government rather than it being an awful country (I don't think any cultures are inherently terrible). Without a doubt the Western World's biggest threat, though (Russia don't have the same kind of numbers)

My girlfriend's Chinese. Gotta go with HC regardless. Both of us hate the CCP with all our hearts. She's told me stories, but to some extent I can't ever understand what it was like for her to grow up in that paranoid police state.

Well, my position as a Chinese ultra-nationalist means for me of course it is FC.  As for CCP it is more mixed.  I guess is overall positive.  I back CCP when they depend Chinese sovereignty and would be opposed to CCP on many but not all internal issues.  I accept the CCP as A party of Chinese nationalism but not THE party of Chinese nationalism.  For me that is enough for me to view CCP as positive overall and for me to give them critical support.
