Current situation:
Economic: Despite what many claimed would happen if the left got more power, the markets are booming. Consumer confidence is at a high, and things are getting better for most people. (6)

Foreign: North Korea breaks the treaty, launching a missile that flies over Japan and splashes down about 200 miles west of Midway. Attempted peace talks between Russia and Ukraine have fallen apart, and Belarus appears extremely likely to be annexed by Russia. (1)

Domestic: With a more unified majority, the Social Democrat-led government has passed a new, extremely progressive tax code, a massive infrastructure bill, a 0.1% tax on financial transactions, a 2% wealth tax, and environmental regulations. (5)

PM Bernie Sanders announces this will be the final election he will contest, citing old age

Socialist Party
Still led by Kshama Sewant (S-Seattle), the Socialists say that the current economic boom still isn't benefitting the working class enough. Their main issue this time is rent control and affordable housing. They want a new marginal tax bracket of 98%, applying to income over 1 billion dollars to fund the acquisition of the land for these housing projects, and the construction.

7) Communist Faction Leader Gloria La Riva
8 ) Mr. Cornel West
9) Musician Tom Morello
10) Author Steven Brust

Green Party
Led by Howie Hawkins (G-Rochester), the Greens say that more still needs to be done about climate change. Their push for a carbon tax failed when just enough Social Democrat MPs defected. They state that with an increased majority, more rigorous measures can be taken.

Social Democrats

Led by PM Bernie Sanders (SD-Burlington), the Social Democrats are simply trying to hold the line this time, pointing to their successes at home, and many suggest their campaign is "promises made, promises kept". Sanders has expressed interest in the Socialists' new >1,000,000,000 tax bracket, though others within the party have expressed discomfort at the idea.

9) Fmr. People's MP Richard Ojeda
10) MP Debbie Dingell

Liberal Party

Led by current Leader of the Opposition Beto O'Rourke (L-El Paso), the Liberals push for a cautious economic policy and social liberalism. They say that the Social Democrats have gone too far, and that the current economic growth is a "House of Cards that they're threatening to topple over".

Top 10 Party List:
1) Opposition Leader Beto O'Rourke
2) Deputy Leader Cheri Bustos
3) Shadow Secretary of Coastal Affairs Joe Cunningham

4) MP Ron DeSantis
5) MP Donald Trump Jr.

Christian Democrats

Led by anti-abortion rancher and former MP Pro-Life (CD-Letha), the Christian Democrats have, once again, gone all-in on the abortion issue. They want to classify it as murder and prosecute it as such. They're also extremely socially conservative, with mixed economic views, with some factions favoring distributism.

Top 5 Party List
1) Leader Pro-Life
2) Deputy Leader Mike Huckabee
3) Party Whip Mike Pence
4) MP Steve Pettit
5) MP Mark Burns

Top 5 party list
1) Leader Richard Spencer
2) Deputy Leader Jason Kessler
3) Fmr. Christian Dem. Deputy Leader Matt Shea
4) MP Steve King

FYI, Jesse Ventura vote for Jill Stein in 2016, and has considered running for President on the Green Party ticket in 2020.  Even without those facts, he'd never be the leader of any libertarian party.

1.Libertarian
2.Liberal (but only if they aren't as anti-gun as I suspect they'd be in your universe, I would hope an actual American Liberal party would be pro-gun, or at least not make guns a part of the platform one way or the other)

I couldn't vote for any of the rest for various freedom and liberty reasons.

That certainly won't happen. In a parliamentary Europe, a liberal party will be anti-gun. They're neoliberal bought out by corporates.

Yeah, I know it's a bit of a stretch. As I described in the last election, he's the leader of the left-libertarian faction of the party. Should've made that more obvious.

but this is in America, we like guns.  Even some left leaning types.  If we got this many parties, at least one of the left leaning ones won't be anti-gun (they wouldn't necessarily be pro-gun either), it seems like the liberals would be the best fit.

Liberal. I'd split with the Greens, but some of them like Hawkins are bad. Also, I'd be ok with the Social Democrats if they didn't cooperate with the marxists.

Also:

I don't follow. The liberals are bought by corporations to be anti-gun? Have you heard about the NRA and the gun industry? Lol, populism sure is fascinating.

It's unrelated sorry, and indeed maybe somewhat generic. It'll depend from country to country.

My own vote was split between the Socialists, Greens, and SocDems.

Social Democratic: 210 seats (-41)
Liberal: 202 seats (+3)
Moderate: 159 seats (+27)
Conservative: 96 seats (+43)
Greens: 82 seats (-76)
Libertarian: 64 seats (+38)
America First: 64 seats (+47)
People's: 53 seats (+35)
Socialist: 49 seats (-56)
Christian Democratic: 21 seats (-20)

Despite the strong economy and policy achievements, the current government suffered extremely tough losses. Some said it was fatigue, others believed that failures in foreign policy sparked the opposition's strength. Either way, it would be difficult to form a government, with the AFP making massive gains.

Each of the leaders of the government parties resigned their leadership, leading to what's sure to be a hotly-contested primary on the Social Democrat side.  Pro-Life refuses to step down despite an embarrassing defeat, and no one appears to challenge him.

The Liberals, Moderates, and Conservatives agreed to work together, with the majority of the Liberals still holding a distaste of the Social Democrats after the mess in 2022. Eventually, Ventura was pressured to step down as leader of the Libertarians, with Justin Amash taking his place, and agreeing to join the government.

1st O'Rourke Cabinet: Liberal+Moderate+Conservative+Libertarians (521/1000 seats)

Would prefer a Liberal-SocDem government, but I'm ok with this outcome! Hopefully the Greens choose a better leader now.

The Liberals and SocDems had a pretty messy breakup. The Liberals demanded the socialists out of gvmt, the SocDems refused, and the Liberals left government forcing a snap election where the SD-G-S parties got a majority on their own. Both parties are still kinda sore about it.
