Confirms my assumption that Pete performs well against Trump in states where he has a high name-ID already.

Of course he's still further behind in states like TX, where he only has a 40-50% name recognition vs. almost 80% in IA and NH.

The poll is 65% college educated, 37% college and 28% post-grad. Trump's approval in the poll is 45/54.

Buttigieg is underrated for the GE. He has a major factor for him: Enthusiasm. And voters who oppose him for being gay won't vote for another Dem either.

Until Pete start leading in Southern primaries, Biden will be the nominee

Mayo Pete has a serious problem attracting minorities to his campaign. His base is overwhelmingly college-educated, White Collar White voters, much like Warren. It's completely reasonable to worry that his general election campaign would struggle to motivate minorities to turn out in sufficient numbers to secure the election for him.

Pete's number is so high because Trump's number is low, suggesting some GOP folks don't know Buttigieg yet. But in NH and IA and white states, he'll do relatively well. If he's the nominee, he should pick a VP that minorities like, someone like Cory Booker or Stacey Abrams.

The "analysis" that NH is guaranteed to vote to the right of ME is about as convincing as the "analysis" that GA is guaranteed to vote to the right of NC. Lean D.
