The year is 2028 our president at this time in U.S. history is President George P. Bush (R-FL) Bush's first term in office has been shaky at best due to a resscesion at the beginning. Bush was elected in 2024 after an extremely close election with V.P. Robert O'Well (D-IL). Ever since he has had a hard time with a Democratic Congress and a even harder time with the resscesion that hit America in 2025. However Bush has had tough races before and most political pundits expect it to be a very close election.

Senator Hershelstein contunied to carry the favor of Democrat's in the polls until a Democratic debate one day in early Decmember. In this debate Senator Kevin Brown managed to stand out as a strong canidate and caught Senator Hershelstein flip-flopping on a number of issues such as Abortion and Gun Control. This made Senator Hershelstein look foolish and somewhat dumb in some qurters and this caused Senator Brown to surge in the polls.
